Abstract

A. aegypti mosquito is a vector of virus caused dengue fever. The effort to control A. aegypti vector has been done so many times, including chemical, physical and biological method. A biological control against this vector can be performed by utilizing soursop seeds which are known to have larvicidal effect against the larva. Previously, it has been proven that the extract of soursop seed demonstrated larvicidal activity against A. aegypti. In this research, the extraction of soursop seed has been carried out by kinetic maceration with the solvent 70% of ethanol. Furthermore, the wet granulation of the obtained extract was used for the preparation of granules which were then tested its larvicidal activity against A. aegypti. Based on the activity test against the larva of Aedes aegypti, the granules showed LC50 values of 295.434 ppm smaller than temephos as a positive control that has larvicidal activity of 1 ppm cause 100% mortality A. aegypti.

Abstract

Dyslipidemia is a condition caused by disruption of lipid metabolism due to the interaction of genetic factors and environmental factors. There is strong evidence of an association between LDL cholesterol and cardiovascular events based on clinical outcome studies, so LDL cholesterol is the main target in the management of dyslipidemia. In addition to using synthetic drugs, dyslipidemia can be treated by consuming natural ingredients, one of which is okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L) Moench). The form of nanoparticles and nanoparticle tablets of okra fruit extract is an effort to increase antidyslipidemic activity and to make it easier to use. This study aims to obtain nanoparticle extracts and nanoparticle tablets of okra fruit extract which have antidyslipidemic activity in vivo against mice given the High Fat Diet (HFD). The research used 24 rats divided into 6 treatment groups, namely group I as normal control, group II as positive control using simvastatin as the control control, group III as a negative control, group IV as a control treatment of ethanol extract 70% okra fruit, group V as a control treatment of okra fruit extract nanoparticles, and group VI as a treatment of okra fruit extract nanoparticles tablets. All test substances are given for 14 days. Blood sampling was carried out on days 0, 14, and 28, with the parameters measured were lipid profiles including total cholesterol (KT), LDL, Triglycerides (TG) and HDL. 70% ethanol extract, extract nanoparticles, and okra fruit extract nanoparticle tablets can decrease KT levels by 33.14%, 46.31%, 45.42%, decrease TG levels by 39.46%, 43.56%, 41, 62%, decrease LDL levels by 45.22%, 68.76%, 59.94%, and can increase HDL levels by 103.80%, 119.20%, 114.39%. Based on the lipid profile of mice given HFD, 70% ethanol extract, nanoparticles, and okra fruit extract nanoparticle tablets had antidyslipidemic activity.

Abstract

Katuk (Sauropus androgyrus (L.) Merr) is one of the plants used for medicinal purposes. It has been carried out the research to isolate and to identify flavonoid compounds in the methanol extract of katuk leaves using paper chromatography and spectrophotometry ultraviolet-visible. The results demonstrated that light spectrum of uv-visible in the presence of a reagent gave an isolate NB-3 which was a compound suspected of flavonol with OH group in positions 5,7,4 ‘and o-di OH groups in the position of the A-ring (6,7 or 7,8) whrereas NB-4 isolate was suspected as flavonoids with OH groups at 5.7 and the prenil groups in position 6, methylation or glycosylation at OH group in a position 3 and o-di OH groupsin position of the a-ring (6,7 or 7,8).

Abstract

Okra fruit has a flavonoid, phytosterol and pectin content, which is potential as an anticholesterol agent. The pharmacological activity of ethanol extract 70 % of okra fruit (EEOF) can be improved by forming nanoemulsion. This study aimed to prepare an ethanol extract 70 % and nanoemulsion of okra fruit and to prove the cholesterol inhibition in vitro EEOF is smaller than the nanoemulsion of EEOF. The okra fruit was extracted by kinetic maceration, the EEOF was analyzed by a phytochemical screening test and cholesterol inhibition assay in vitro using Liebermann-Burchard reagent. The anticholesterol activity was expressed as IC50 values. Nanoemulsion of EEOF prepared by spontaneous emulsification method using capmul, propylenglycol, glycerin (1 : 2.5 : 2 mL). The result of phytochemical screening of okra fruit simplicia and EEOF were contained flavonoid, steroid, triterpenoid, saponin, and coumarin. The resulting nanoemulsion has a 134.7 nm in diameter with a potential zeta value of -26.72 mV. EEOF has IC50 of 764.11 µg/mL and nanoemulsion of EEOF have IC50 of 712.50 µg/mL. Nanoemulsion can improve anticholesterol IC50 value because it was penetrated the gap between cells so that the delivery and bioavailability were higher.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is defined as giving breast milk to a baby without any additional drink, food or beverages during the first 6 months after birth. Today there is a decline in exclusive breastfeeding, and among others, one reason is the increase in the participation of mothers in the workforce, especially in urban areas. Many factors that affect the regularity of exclusive breastfeeding by working mothers, one of which, is the demographic factor. This study aims to obtain profile data of exclusive breastfeeding by working mothers and statistical modelling of exclusive breastfeeding by working mothers based on demographic factor, by conducting a survey on 384 respondents. This research uses descriptive analysis and logistic regression analysis with SPSS software version 15.0. Descriptive analysis showed that most mothers working in Jakarta (61.2%) did not give exclusive breastfeeding. Logistic regression statistical analysis showed that age, occupation, distance to work, and travel time to the workplace of working mothers are dominant factors that influence exclusive breastfeedings, with the p-value is smaller than the p value (Sig) = 0.05.

Abstract

Introduction:Sargassum.sp is one of the marine biota published as antiaterosclerosis, but compound toxicity data need to be explored for safety. Method: Virtual screening has been done with MVD software from active compounds contained in sargassum where has activity as antiaterosclerosis with the mechanism of hypolipidemic effects. Test compounds in sargassum include: fucoidan, rhamnose, fucose, galactose, fucoxantin, alginate, phlorofucofuroeckol A, phloroglucinol, phlorotannin, with HMG-COA Reductase-Simvastatin adenosine receptors with a 1HW9 /PDB code. Its toxicity is predicted using pkCSM (online). Results: The value RS, RMSD value as a result of the docking simulation carried out on said compounds, the following results are obtained: fucoidan (-110,420; 1,478), rhamnose (-72,081; 1,629), fucose (-98,408; 1,546), galactose (-95,757; 5,187), fucoxantin (-106,297; 2,161), alginate (-84,674; 2,897), phlorofucofuroeckol A (-106.701; 2,809), phloroglucinol (-103,140; 2,142), phlorotannin (-48,826; 7,750). The prediction results of toxicity showed fucoidan, rhamnose, fucose, galactose, fucoxantin, alginate, phlorofucofuroeckol A, phloroglucinol and phlorotannin not toxic with LD50 0.95-2.482g / kg. Conclusion:Based on RS values, fucoidan, fucoxantin and phlorofucofuroeckol A compounds contained in brown seaweed were predicted to have activity as antiaterosclerosis. Compounds in brown seaweed can also be predicted to be relatively non-toxic with a value of LD50 0.95-2.482g / kg.

Abstract

Tumbuhan meniran adalah tumbuhan obat yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh. Secara klinis, ekstrak meniran telah terbukti bersifat immunomodulator atau mampu merangsang daya tahan tubuh seseorang sehingga kebal terhadap serangan penyakit. Khasiat meniran yang lain adalah sebagai diuretik, ekspektoran, dan dapat digunakan sebagai peluruh haid, penambah nafsu makan, obat demam, diare dan obat sakit kuning. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa ekstrak herba meniran memenuhi persyaratan standar mutu yang telah ditetapkan. Penapisan fitokimia pada serbuk herba meniran adanya golongan senyawa flavonoid, saponin, tanin, kuinon, triterpenoid, kumarin dan minyak atsiri. Sedangkan hasil penapisan fitokimia ekstrak etanol 70% herba meniran menunjukkan adanya golongan senyawa flavonoid, saponin, tanin, kuinon, triterpenoid, kumarin dan minyak atsiri. Hasil yang diperoleh nilai IC50 ekstrak etanol 70% herba meniran : 17,55 bpj, 17,64 bpj, 17,59 bpj termasuk antioksidan kuat, disebabkan oleh terjadinya interaksi antara metabolit sekunder yang terdapat pada ekstrak herba meniran tersebut. Vitamin C digunakan sebagai kontrol positif yang memiliki IC50, 2,31 bpj dan kuersein nilai IC50 2,77 bpj.

Abstract

Abstrak Jurusan Farmasi memiliki ruang lingkup keilmuan yang sangat luas salah satunya ialah ilmu kimia. Di dalam ilmu kimia menyajikan proses, notasi-notasi kimia, jenis, dan susunan materi yang bias disajikan dalam bentuk yang ringkas, seperti persamaan reaksi, dengan tidak menghilangkan aspek mikroskopis dan makroskopis di dalam prosesnya. Persamaan reaksi merupakan aspek simbolis dalam kimia. Semua zat yang terlibat dalam persamaan reaksi juga merupakan aspek simbolik dari kimia. Rumus-rumus kimia, seperti lambang atom, lambang unsur, lambang atau rumus senyawa, semuanya ini merupakan aspek simbolis dari kimia. Aspek simbolis ini merupakan hal penting dalam kimia. Pelatihan penggunaan software ChemDraw menjadi hal yang sangat penting dilakukan untuk siswa tingkat Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) khususnya jurusan farmasi, guna meningkatkan skill dalam penyajian data – data kimia mengingat lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan diharapkan bisa menjadi sumber daya manusia yang siap kerja dan berkualitas di bidangnya. Software ini menyajikan simbol – simbol proses, notasi-notasi kimia, jenis, susunan materi, dan beberapa penyajian gambar berbagai alat laboratorium, yang cukup mudah untuk digunakan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 23 Oktober 2019 kepada siswa SMK Kesehatan Pelita Ciampea Bogor. Para siswa sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan, mudah memahami materi dan mengalami peningkatan ketrampilan setelah proses pelatihan. Abstract The Department of Pharmacy has a very broad scientific scope, one of which is chemistry. In chemistry, presenting processes, chemical notations, types, and compositions of matter that can be presented in a concise form, such as a reaction equation without eliminating microscopic and macroscopic aspects in the process. Reaction equations are a symbolic aspect of chemistry. All substances involved in the equation of a reaction are also symbolic aspects of chemistry. Chemical formulas, such as atomic symbols, element symbols, symbols or formulas for compounds, are all symbolic aspects of chemistry. This symbolic aspect is important in chemistry. Training on the use of ChemDraw software is very important for vocational high school (SMK) students, especially those majoring in pharmacy, in order to improve skills in presenting chemical data considering that Vocational High School graduates are expected to become human resources who are ready to work and have quality in their fields. . This software presents process symbols, chemical notations, types, composition of materials, and several image presentations of various laboratory tools, which are quite easy to use. The training was held on October 23th 2019 for students of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Ciampea Bogor. The students were very enthusiastic about participating in the activities, easy to understand the material and experienced an increase in skills after the training process.

Abstract

Hand sanitizer di saat pandemik ini menjadi primadona sehingga bahan-bahannya menjadi langka dan harganya melonjak berlipat-lipat, hal ini menyebabkan masyarakat melakukan pembuatan hand sanitizer sendiri, namun seringkali masayarakat menggunakan bahan-bahan yang berdampak buruk pada Kesehatan. Enzim dari “sampah” ini adalah salah satu cara manajemen sampah yang memanfaatkan sisa-sisa dapur untuk sesuatu yang sangat bermanfaat, dengan demikian sangat logis bila eco-enzyme ini disebut dengan istilah “cairan ajaib”. .Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dengan program kemitraan masyarakat ini berupa kegiatan dalam bentuk edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan pengolahan sampah organik menjadi cairan eco-enzyme sebagai bahan hand sanitizer pada POSDAYA SOKA yang beralamat Jalan Bungur 2 Kp. Duku., RT. 02/12 Kelurahan Kebayoran Lama Selatan, Kecamatan Kebayoran Lama Jakarta Selatan. Hasil kegiatan, anggota POSDAYA SOKA dapat mengelola dan memanfaatkan sampah organik menjadi cairan eco-enzyme untuk bahan hand sanitizer, sehingga terjadi peningkatan kemandirian kesehatan anggota POSDAYA melalui penggunaan hand sanitizer hasil swadaya masyarakat

Abstract

Abstract The students at the Minhajusshobirin Islamic Boarding School have produced a wuluh start fruit drink. Their drink has a high sugar content, so it cannot be consumed by diabetics. In addition, the product has not been certified, so it cannot be marketed widely. The purpose of this Community Service Program is to provide training for students to 1) Improve the skills of the students in good processed food production methods (good manufacturing practices/GMP), especially in producing wuluh star fruit drinks, 2) Increase the competitiveness of wuluh star fruit drink products by using sweeteners, low calories using stevia, and 3) Product stability test facilitation. The methods used in this activity included: licensing, surveys, counselling, training, laboratory testing, coaching, monitoring-evaluation, and publication of activity results. Measuring tools to assess the increase in knowledge and skills of students in the application of GMP in making low-calorie drinks are through questionnaires and direct surveys, as well as through product stability tests according to SNI 3719: 2014 standards in the QLab laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila. Training and supervision on GMP for processed food on sanitation and hygiene parameters have been given by a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Pancasila. The quality assessment of the low-calorie drinks produced can be seen from the increase in product stability time of the test results in the laboratory. The pre-test and post-test results showed an increase in student understanding by 18.24%, which can be concluded that the training was effective. This activity is expected to be useful as an entrepreneurial provision for students when they serve in the community. Keywords: Universitas Pancasila, GMP, wuluh starfruit
