Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the mind mapping in terms of the quality of the material and media feasibility of validation by module experts. Expert validation is needed in module development so that the module is feasible or not used. Aspects that are validated are aspects of the module material including content, language, and media aspects of the module including presentation, and graphics. In looking at the quality aspect of the need analysis and validation of making a mind mapping based technique mathematics learning module by testing its feasibility before use. The validation analysis in the module uses methods from Crocker and Algina. The data instrument in this study was a validation questionnaire sheet. The results showed that the average feasibility aspect for the media was 89.79% and the material was 86.09, a total of 86.83%. In other words, the Mind mapping-based engineering mathematics module fulfilled the feasibility aspect. In conclusion, the Mind mapping-based engineering mathematics module developed is feasible in terms of media and module material. Keywords: Mathematical Techniques, Mind mapping, Modules, Validation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the plastic waste chopping machine. The type of research used is experimental research. The object of research is a plastic waste chopping machine by modifying the shape to be simpler. Plastic waste shredder can work well. This machine can chop plastic with a thickness of 0.3 mm in 14.4 kg/hour and plastic waste with a thickness of 0.5 mm in a time of 18 kg/hour.

Abstract

Mitra dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah bengkel “Nurdy Motor”. Bengkel motor ini dijalankan oleh pemilik dan tiga orang karyawan. Berdasarkan observasi awal dan analisis situasi, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yang menjadi prioritas untuk diselesaikan yaitu tentang; (1) kurangnya pemahaman tentang ergonomi kerja yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan special service tool dalam membantu aktivitas kerja perbengkelan, dan (2) kurangnya pemahaman terhadap pengelolaam bengkel. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk berbagi ilmu pengetahuan pada pekerja bengkel motor tentang pengelolaan fasilitas bengkel melaui penerapan prinsip 5R. Dari hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa mitra telah memperoleh wawasan baru tentang pengelolaan begkel. Selain itu, peserta juga diberikan tambahan peralatan bengkel berupa rak alat, toolbox, dan kunci ring pas 1 set. Hal ini bertujuan agar proses transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi oleh tim PKM dapat didemonstrasikan secara langsung dan dapat diterapkan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pada era revolusi industri 4.0, persaingan di dunia kerja sangatlah ketat dimana semua pekerjaan membutuhkan kemampuan dan keterampilan. Oleh karena itu, perlunya pelatihan yang dapat memberikan bekal kemampuan dan keterampilan untuk bekerja sehingga dapat bersaing dan mampu berdikari dengan menjadi seorang wirausahawan. Tujuan diadakannya pelatihan servis sepeda motor adalah untuk memberikan ilmu, pengalaman, dan kemampuan di bidang otomotif agar pemuda Desa Wonosalam dapat bersaing di dunia kerja dan diharapkan mampu membuka usaha sendiri. Pada program pelatihan yang telah diberikan terdiri atas teori dan praktik. Untuk teori, yang pertama dilakukan adalah memberikan pre-test kepada peserta pelatihan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengukur atau mengetahui pengetahuan awal peserta pelatihan sebelum diberikan materi. Selanjutnya, peserta pelatihan diberikan modul dan diberikan pemaparan oleh pemateri tentang servis sepeda motor dengan topik sistim bahan bakar sepeda motor menggunakan karburator. Setelah diberikan teori, peserta pelatihan melakukan praktik mulai dari pembongkaran, analisis komponen, pembersihan komponen, perakitan kembali komponen dan penyetelan karburator. Setelah selesai praktik, peserta diberikan post-test. Post-test bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan akhir dan pemahaman peserta pelatihan setelah mendapatkan pelatihan. Hasil yang didapatkan dari pelatihan adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta dalam servis sepeda motor dengan topik sistim bahan bakar sepeda motor menggunakan karburator.

Abstract

Turmeric is a plant that is included in the spice plant category and is also a family medicinal plant (TOGA) which is good for health. However, in the drying process they still use the traditional method of drying in the sun, so this method is less effective because it has to depend on the weather. Therefore there must be a new innovation, namely using a dryer. In this study, the dryer used was an oven that had been designed using a hair dryer as the heat source. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the turmeric dryer with a hair dryer as a heat source. This type of research is a pure experimental research. The research object is an oven-shaped dryer that uses a hair dryer as a heat source. After conducting performance tests, the turmeric dryer can work well. This study uses 3 time variants, namely, 30, 60, and 90 minutes. Testing at 55°C was the most efficient time, namely 90 minutes with an initial weight of 200 grams to 118 grams which experienced higher shrinkage than 30 minutes and 60 minutes. The longer the drying time, the better the drying results.

Abstract

In the world of children, physical activities are a vital key to their development, and play becomes a crucial aspect in this process. Utilizing play equipment, children's learning and interaction can be facilitated. Through the Community Engagement initiative conducted by the Mechanical Engineering Education at Bakuwu Kindergarten, Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR), innovative principles are integrated into the creation of children's play equipment. The primary objective of this initiative is to gain insights from both teachers and parents regarding the produced play equipment. The research methodology employs a mixed-methods design, incorporating Pareto analysis. The results reveal that maintenance and upkeep of the play equipment constitute a predominant issue, contributing to 34% of the overall problems. It can be concluded that the maintenance of play equipment is a critical element in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of activities. Sustained development and improvement have long-term benefits for children, educators, and the community. Recommendations for enhancement encompass heightened awareness, regular maintenance, and the implementation of continuous improvement cycles, aligning with the Pareto analysis principles that emphasize addressing the most significant issues for optimal outcomes.

Abstract

This article addresses the growing demand for fish products in Indonesia, driven by increased per capita fish consumption, which has risen from 43.88 to 54.49 kg annually. This surge has led to an expansion of fish farming activities, particularly within small-scale enterprises. However, a significant challenge faced by these farmers is the high cost of commercial fish feed, which accounts for 60-80% of total production expenses. These costs are further amplified by the reliance on expensive and environmentally harmful imported ingredients such as fishmeal and soybean meal. In response to these challenges, this study focuses on a community service initiative conducted at KUPS Fisheries in Tanjung Sangalang, Pulang Pisau, Central Kalimantan. The project aimed to provide local fish farmers with essential skills in feed production and the utilization of floating net cages for sustainable fish farming. Through training and hands-on practice, participants were introduced to cost-effective, locally sourced alternatives for fish feed, reducing dependency on expensive imports. The initiative also promoted environmentally friendly practices, contributing to both the economic and ecological sustainability of small-scale fish farming in the region.

Abstract

Precision is very important in the welding process to ensure that the welding results are strong and accurate. A sturdy and well-designed welding table is essential to maintain workpiece stability and precision in welding operations. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE model. This research aims to design a welding table with the application of electromagnetic magnets through literature study, design and testing of welding table prototypes. The result of the research is a welding table product with the application of electromagnetic magnets. Testing shows the use of electromagnetic magnets on the welding table can improve the stability and accuracy of welding results. This study also obtained data on user/practitioner satisfaction after using a welding table with electromagnetic magnets based on 12 important aspects which include Purpose, Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound, Innovative, Functional, Efficiency, Reliability, Ease of Use, and Safety.

Abstract

Ecosystems in Central Kalimantan are generally dominated by peat swamps, including Kereng Bangkirai Village, Sebangau District. Ecotourism is responsible for improving community welfare but still prioritizing the environmental preservation of natural areas found in tourist locations. Education on waste management in the community is still lacking, reflected in the lack of sorting when disposing of household waste to the landfill and residents' habit of burning environmental waste in the form of leaves or dry grass. The Riswandi Farm farmer group uses the results of cutting grass in the Kereng Bangkirai area to be used as compost. However, the limitations of the grass-cutting tools used are an obstacle in producing compost. So it is necessary to apply shredding machine technology to overcome the problem of the amount of organic compost production and produce derivative fertilizer products in other forms.

Abstract

Proyek Pembangunan Gedung Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia Depok memiliki luas bangunan 16495 m2. Perpustakaan ini terdiri dari 8 lantai, yang terletak di tengah kota. Sehingga, dapat memudahkan memobilisasi alat dan material. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk membuat project planning dalam hal struktur organisasi, site layout, traffic management, strategi dan metode pelaksanaan, mutu, keselamatan, kesehatan kerja dan lingkungan (K3L); Rencana Anggaran Pelaksanaan Proyek dan Penjadwalan. Data yang digunakan adalah shop drawing, Rencana Kerja dan Syarat, dan HSD Kota Depok tahun 2020. Perencanaan jadwal proyek menggunakan metode Barchart dengan bantuan Aplikasi MS. Project 2016. Perencanaan ini menghasilkan struktur organisasi tipe garis dimana pimpinan dan bawahan berada dalam satu garis komando; Site Layout dengan menggunakan 1 unit tower crane; Perencanaan Traffic Management menggunakan one gate system; Strategi pelaksanaan menggunakan 2 zona; Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan Bottom Up, dimulai dari zona 1 kemudian dilanjutkan pada zona 2 sampai lantai 8; Rencana mutu berdasarkan penerapan SOP (Standard Operating Procedure); Rencana K3L meliputi identifikasi bahaya, rencana peralatan HSE, dan jadwal pelaksanaan HSE; Rencana durasi proyek 43 minggu, dan Rencana Anggaran Pelaksanaan Rp.151.141.347.875.
