Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui total kolesterol, LDL, dan HDL darah ayam kampung ULU betina yang diberi Jintan Hitam (Nigella sativa) dalam ransum, penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Desember 2022—Februari 2023 di kandang ayam Laboratorium Lapang Terpadu, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung dan Pengujian di Laboratorium Pramitra Biolab Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan dengan dosis perlakuan yaitu kontrol (P0), 36 mg/kg BB (P1), 72 mg/kg BB (P2), 144 mg/kg BB (P3). Peubah yang diamati meliputi total kolesterol, LDL, dan HDL. Hasil penelitian ditampilkan dalam bentuk histogram dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Rataan total kolesterol, LDL, dan HDL perlakuan penelitian ini berturut turut dari P0, P1, P2, dan P3, total kolesterol (91,33 mg/dl; 88 mg/dl; 86,67 mg/dl; 85 mg/dl), LDL (30,67 mg/dl; 27,33 mg/dl; 21,33 mg/dl; 23,33 mg/dl), dan HDL (69,67 mg/dl; 73 mg/dl; 56,67 mg/dl; 60,33 mg/dl). Disimpulkan bahwa Pemberian perlakuan Jintan Hitam (Nigella sativa) dengan menggunakan dosis perlakuan 36 mg/dl Nigella sativa, 72 mg/dl Nigella sativa, 144 mg/dl. Total kolesterol, LDL, dan HDL darah ayam kampung ULU betina yang diberi jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) mampu mempertahankan dalam kisaran normal dan mengalami peningkatan yang positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan dosis terbaik pemberian ekstrak temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) terhadap jumlah sel leukosit dan diferensial leukosit pada ayam KUB. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Desember 2022 – Februari 2023 di kandang Open House Laboratorium Lapang Terpadu sebagai tempat pemeliharaan ayam dan Laboratorium Pengolahan Limbah Agroindustri, Jurusan Teknologi Hasil Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung sebagai tempat pembuatan ekstrak temulawak. Analisis total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Patologi Klinik, Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, UGM. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 Perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu air minum tanpa ekstrak temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza) (P0), air minum dengan penambahan 5% ekstrak temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza) (5 ml ekstrak temulawak + 95 ml air) (P1), air minum dengan penambahan 10% ekstrak temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza) (10 ml ekstrak temulawak + 90 ml air) (P2), dan air minum dengan penambahan 15% ekstrak temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza) (15 ml ekstrak temulawak + 85 ml air) (P3). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) pada ayam KUB memiliki rata-rata total leukosit, basofil, monosit, dan limfosit berada pada kisaran normal, dan total neutrofil serta eosinofil berada diatas kisaran normal. Pemberian ekstrak temulawak dengan dosis sebesar 10% (P2) pada air minum memberikan hasil yang lebih baik pada jumlah leukosit dan diferensialnya dalam mempertahankan kesehatan ayam KUB.

Abstract

This research was carried out in October-December, 2012, the District of Gisting, Tanggamus Regency (upland) andin the Negri Sakti, Pesawaran Regency Settings Gedong Tataan (lowland). The methods used in this research is aSurvey method. Research Data were taken from 30 goats Boerawa pascasapih phase which includes males, rectaltemperature values, the frequency of heart rate, and respiratory frequency. Analyzed using t-test.The data collected from this research result indicates a very real (P<0.01 ) against temperature rektal, frequencyheart rate, and frequency respiration male goat boerawa phase pascasapih preserved in lowland (P1 ) and uplands (P2 ). Average value temperature rektal, frequency heart rate, and frequency respiration livestock, both boerawa malephase pascasapih in lowland is 39,330C, 84 time/minutes and 42 time/minutes and average value temperature rektal,frequency heart rate, and frequency respiration livestock, both boerawa male phase pascasapih on upland is 39,110C,74 time/minutes and 31 time/minutes.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the lest temperature and durations of thawing athigh altitudes in frozen semen of Brahman bull. This research conducted in 8-27 March 2014. Thisresearch was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3x3 factorial. The firstfactorial is temperature (34oC, 37oC, and 40oC) and second factorial is thawing durations with 3replications. Variables were deserved in this researchs the percentage of alive sperm and spermmotility. Research data was analyzed by Anova and Duncan test at 5%.The result showed that the temperatures and thawing durations influence the quality ofBrahman bull frozen semen, but has no interaction between them. Of this this research, the bestquality of spermatozoa obtained at 40oC and the 20 second duration of thawing has the highest qualityaverage among the other treatments. Motility of spermatozoa at 40oC is 33,89% and thawing durationat 20 second is 35,56%, the percentage of alive sperm at 40oC is 37,04% and the duration of thawingat 20 second is 35,43%.

Abstract

Research on infestation rate of the digestive fluke on Bali cattle in the Sukoharjo Sub-district , Pringsewu District, Lampung Province held in December 2014 and January 2015. The purpose of this research was to determine the infestation rate of the digestive fluke in Sukoharjo sub-district, Pringsewu District, Lampung Province. The method used is a survey with proportional random sampling, the stool samples obtained 131 Bali cattle. Analysis of the data used in the study is descriptive. The parameters observed were gastrointestinal worm eggs that Paramphistomum sp., Haemonchus sp., Oesophagustomum sp., Mecistocirrus sp., Cooperia sp., Ascaris sp., Trichostrongylus sp., and Nematodirus sp .. The results of this study showed that the prevalence of Bali Cattle that infected Paramphistomum sp. is 74.05%, Haemonchus sp. is 4.58%, Oesophagustomum sp. is 18.32%, Mecistocirrus sp. is 2.29%, Cooperia sp. is 0.76%, Ascaris sp. is 0.76%, Trichostrongylus sp. is 1.53%, and Nematodirus sp. is 0.76%. Abstract

The objective of this experiment was to find out the physiological responses of roosters medium type which were given rations in different levels of crude fiber (4, 6, 8, or 10% of dietary dry matter).  This research was conducted for 60 days at cage trial installations in PT. Rama Jaya, Fajar Baru Village, Jati Agung Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency.  There are fourty eight of roosters medium type that have been used and divided into 12 cages, so that each cage consisted of four roosters.  The roosters were divided into four treatments.  The treatment were levels of crude fiber 4, 6, 8, and 10% of dietary dry matter.  Each treatment was repeated three times.  The design used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with Nested Data.  Result of the experiment should that different levels of crude fiber 4, 6, 8, or 10% had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the physiological response of rooster medium type and there was no physiological responses of the best rooster medium type in the giving of rations in levels of crude fiber 4, 6, 8, or 10%.

Abstract

This study aims to ; (1) determine the effect of adminitrastion of vaccine against ND Live onbroiler antibody titers, the number of red blood cells and white blood cell count, (2) determineantibody titers, the number of red blood cells and white blood cells are the best in broiler chickens NDvaccineby giving different live . this study conducted in October 2012 in the experimental cage unitPT. Rama Jaya Lampung is located in the village in new dawn, distrct grand teak, southern Lampung.Chickens were used as much as one hundred male sex.This study used a completely randomized design consisting of four treatments (P1: eye drops,P2: nose drops, P3: oral drops, P4: syringe) with repead five timesResults of analysis of variance showed that the way ND Live vaccines in broiler old seven day notaffected significantly (P<0.05) antibody titers, the number of red blood cells and white blood cellscount broiler.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the number of leukocytes and the differential leukocyte drake by different rations; 2) the number of leukocytes and the differential leukocyte drake best with different ration. The research was conducted in September-December 2015 Integrated Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. This study uses a group design (RK). Grouping based on body weight with a weight range K1: 150-175 grams; K2: 176-200 grams; K3: 201-225 grams, and K4: 300-325 grams with level 4 treatments. Number of male ducks are used as many as 48 ducks males to 16 the number of plots so that each plot enclosure contains tigat male ducks. Data were collected at 10% of the number of ducks that exist in each treatment in each group. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance on the real level of 5% or 1% and continued with Duncan test for the value of the variance analysis showed significantly different results. The treatment is given in the form of rations drake 1, Ration 2 Ration 3 Ration 4 which has a different nutrient content so it can be the best diet to determine the level of normal leukocytes and leukocytes diferensial. The variables in this study are the leukocytes and the differential leukocytes include lymphocytes, monocytes, heterophile, eosinophils. The results showed that different ration was not significant (P> 0.05) and (P> 0.01) to the number of leukocytes and diferensial leukocytes. Keywords: Ducks Males, Leukocyte,  Rations

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine temperature and duration of thawing in thelowlands the frozen semen of Simmental Cattle most optimal for use in IB. The study was conductedin March 2014, research was conducted using a completely randomized design with a 3x3 factorial.The first factor is the temperature (34°C, 37°C, and 40°C) and Factor II thawing time (10 seconds, 15seconds, and 20 seconds) with 3 replications. Parameters observed in this study is the motility ofspermatozoa and percentage of live spermatozoa. The data were analyzed using ANOVA andDuncan's test further the 5% level.The results showed that temperature and thawing significant (P<0,05) on sperm quality frozensemen of Simmental cattle, but has no interaction between them. Results of Duncan test (P<0,05) tothe most good quality spermatozoa obtained at 37ºC thawing temperatures, and thawing at 15 secondslong. Motility of spermatozoa at thawing temperatures 37ºC is 38.33% and thawing 15 seconds longis36.11%. The percentage of live spermatozoa at thawing temperatures 37ºC is40.78% and thawing 15seconds long is 38.33%.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine microbiologic status observation of the Ettawa Crossbred milk in Sungai Langka Village Gedong Tataan District Pesawaran Regency. This study used a survey method. Data retrieval in this research by questionnaire. The study was conducted from Mei—Juni 2016 in the Laboratory Veteriner Office of Lampung. The study used 15 samples from Ettawa Crossbred Goat in Sungai Langka Village Gedong Tataan District Pesawaran Regency. Parameters of microbiologic status observed total plate count, coliform, and E. coli. The result showed that 26,67% or 4 samples (KU-3, TH-1, TH-2, and TH-3) of milk sample had total plate count (TPC) excess of standard SNI, 83,33% or 11 samples of milk (Y-2, Y-3, KU-1, KU-4, TH-1, TH-2, TH-3, ED-1, ED-2 BD-1, and SK-1) had coliform excess of standard SNI, and 13,33% of milk sample had E.coli. Standard used the National Standardization Agency (NSA) 7388:2009 about the maximum limit of microbial contamination in milk.
