Abstract

The development of science and technology in the 21st century demands the cultivation of literacy culture as an essential life skill. Digital literacy and scientific literacy are crucial literacy skills that need to be developed. Digital literacy emphasizes the ability to critically understand and use digital information, while scientific literacy involves a deep understanding of science and the ability to apply it in everyday life. The objectives of this study are to determine: (1) students’ digital literacy abilities; (2) students’ scientific literacy abilities; (3) students’ learning outcome criteria; (4) the correlation between digital literacy and learning outcomes; and (5) the correlation between scientific literacy and students’ learning outcomes on chemistry material in everyday life. This study employed a correlational research design with a quantitative approach. The subjects of the study consisted of 55 tenth-grade students from MAN 1 Nganjuk, selected using purposive sampling from a total population of 96 students. The data collection techniques included a digital literacy skills questionnaire, an essay test for scientific literacy, and a multiple-choice test for learning outcomes, each comprising 20 items. The instruments had been validated, with reliability values of 0.900, 0.854, and 0.863, respectively. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and the Spearman rho test.  The results of the study showed that: (1) the average level of students’ digital literacy is categorized as “good” with a score of 76.87; (2) the level of scientific literacy is categorized as “good” with an average score of 68.09; (3) the average learning outcome score is 85.27, categorized as “very good”; (4) there is a correlation between digital literacy and learning outcomes, with a correlation coefficient of 0.464, categorized as “moderate”; and (5) the correlation between scientific literacy and students’ learning outcomes in chemistry is strong, with a correlation coefficient of 0.611.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the e-module of reaction rate topic based on multiple representations with the flipped classroom approach as a student self-study facility and to test the feasibility of the e-module based on its validity and readability responses. This research and development used a 4-D model consisting of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, in this study, the stages carried out only reached the develop stage. The e-module product that has been developed is then validated by three validators consisting of one chemistry education lecturer and two chemistry teachers to test its feasibility in terms of material content and media appearance. Then, e-module was revised according to the suggestions from the validators and tested for its readability based on student responses collected through a questionnaire. The results of the validation data analysis of the developed e-module fulfill the eligibility criteria both in terms of material and media with an average percentage of 91.35% and 91.91%, respectively, in a very good category. Meanwhile, the results of the readability test received a positive responses from students with an average percentage of 82.92% in a good category. Thus, the developed e-module is feasible to be implemented in learning reaction rate topic with the flipped classroom approach. Abstract

Teaching materials that can be used for self-study by students, stimulate students' thinking skills by associating chemical concepts with approaches to science, environment, technology, and society as well as containing the integration of Islamic values are needed so that students get a complete concept andit is hoped that students can apply the concept to the real situations. This research aims to develop e-module based Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) which is integrated with Islamic values in colloidal system material. This researchand development use 7 stages of the RnD model from Sugiyono, namely potential problems, information gathering, product design, design validation, design revision, product manufacture, and limited product trials. The research instruments were needs analysis questionnaires, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. E-module that was developed was validated by three validators to measure its validity in terms of material, media, and the integration of Islamic values. Product revisions were carried out according to the suggestions of the validators, then limited tests to find out student responses to the e-module being developed. The results of the validation of material experts, media, and integration of Islamic values successively obtained an average percentage of 96.0%, 95.1%, and 85.0% with very valid categories. The results of student responses obtained an average percentage of 83.6% in the very good category.

Abstract

Gili Iyang is an island that belong to Madura, that located in Dungkek District, Sumenep Regency, East Java. This island is famous as an oxygen island with the second best oxygen levels in the world. This island also has various natural sources including medicinal. However, some of the existing potentials have not been utilized and processed optimally. Therefore, this activity is focused on optimazing the used of medicinal plants for improving health among communities. This activities were including planting medicinal plants or call “Tanaman Obat”(TOGA). Moreover to improve the understanding about medicinal plan, lecture section about the function of plants and how to prepare the traditional recepi was conducted. Information about medicinal plants for hipertention, diabetic and degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis and women's health disorders were shared. Workshop about preparation herbal soap from piper betle was also conducted to the community of Gili Iyang . Piper batle was known as antimicrobial that could overcome vaginal discharge disorders. This activity give many advantages to the Gili Iyang Community that could improve the understanding on medicinal plants. The analysis of each participant in answering the question of pretest and posted was calculate. The results showed the right answer improve up to 70%. This result indicate the advantage of this activity to the community of Gili Iyang that consist of Banraas dan Bancamara village. This program is an application of several aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including health (3), quality education (4), and is a strengthening of national research priorities (PRN) in the fields of Blue-Green Economy and Health.

Abstract

Lembar Kerja Praktikum (LKP) yang baik harus mencakup kegiatan seperti mengamati, mengukur, mengklasifikasi, dan memprediksi yang dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Akan tetapi berdasarkan hasil analisis wawancara yang sudah dilakukan masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan pada Lembar Kerja Praktikum Kimia (LKP) Kimia yang ada saat ini, seperti belum memuat komponen yang lengkap, dan belum sepenuhnya mengasah kemampuan siswa untuk menemukan jawaban dari suatu masalah yang dikaitkan dengan aspek sains, lingkungan, teknologi dan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan tingkat kevalidan dan tingkat kepraktisan dari Lembar Kerja Praktikum berbasis guided inquiry bervisi Science, Environmental, Technology and Society (SETS) pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit yang telah dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D yang disarankan oleh Thiagarajan. Namun pada penelitian ini dilakukan hanya sampai pada tahap ketiga yaitu develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kevalidan Lembar Kerja Praktikum yang dikembangakan mendapat persentase dari 3 validator pada aspek isi/materi sebesar 91%, aspek penyajian sebesar 87%, dan aspek bahasa sebesar 91%. Sementara itu, untuk kepraktisan mendapatkan persentase rata-rata dari respon siswa sebesar 73% dengan kriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Praktikum yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis digunakan dalam kegiatan praktikum.

Abstract

Applying the learning model should encourage students to learn actively, think, and use their abilities to discover. Apart from that, learning linked to the SSI context can also support functional scientific literacy skills. StudyThis aims to analyse the influence of the discovery learning model in the context of Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) on students' scientific literacy abilities and cognitive learning outcomes on Basic Laws of Chemistry material. This research uses a quasi-experiment method with a control posttest-only group design—research population of class X students at MAN 10 Jombang. Sampling used the purposive sampling technique, which consists of two classes: the experimental class, which applies the SSI-based discovery learning model, and the control class, which uses discovery learning. Data collection used a 10-item essay test instrument to measure scientific literacy skills and a 15-item multiple choice test to measure cognitive learning outcomes. Both have been validated; the reliability was 0.869 and 0.889, respectively—data analysis using a t-test. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the SSI-based discovery learning model on scientific literacy skills with a 2-tailed sig value of 0.031 80,56.

Abstract

Pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat dan penggunaan bahan ajar elektronik seperti E-LKPD interaktif berbasis model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) memberikan sinergi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) proses pengembangan E-LKPD interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Website Wizer.me pada materi laju reaksi, 2) tingkat kelayakan dari bahan ajar yang dikembangkan, dan 3) respon peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model 4-D Thiagarajan namun hanya sampai 3 tahap saja. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar wawancara dan angket analisis kebutuhan, lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, dan angket respon peserta didik. Validasi produk melibatkan 1 dosen pendidikan kimia dan guru kimia, sedangkan respon peserta didik melibatkan 36 peserta didik kelas XI-10 SMAN 1 Gondang Tulungagung. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, 1) produk yang dikembangkan berupa E-LKPD dengan model pengembangan Thiagarajan terbatas sampai 3 tahap dengan menggunakan software  microsoft office, canva, website wizer.me sebagai penunjang, 2) E-LKPD interaktif yang dikembangkan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat layak, dari ahli materi sebesar 90% dan ahli media sebesar 90%,  3) respon peserta didik didapatkan hasil sebesar 78% dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

In learning, the SSI approach involves utilising social science-related topics that engage students in dialogue, discussion, and debate. This SSI approach is pertinent to chemistry education, which connects to real-life situations. Local wisdom-based learning is understood as the process that draws from students' cultural and social environment and is linked to educational materials. This study aims to explore the topic of SSI through the lens of local wisdom in chemistry education. This study comprises a literature review employing a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The findings indicate that integrating SSI and local wisdom merges scientific understanding with the context of social issues pertinent to the environment and local culture. This approach emphasises mastery of scientific concepts regarding social issues and fosters an appreciation of the local wisdom surrounding them. In addition to enhancing critical thinking skills and scientific literacy through SSI, this approach's integration can also heighten awareness and concern for local wisdom. In the context of local wisdom in East Java, three topics may serve as references for promoting SSI-local wisdom in chemistry education, including issues related to sound water quality in Gamping village, a hub for the Tulungagung marble handicraft industry, Malang dairy farms that potentially contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, and culinary shellfish sourced from microplastic-polluted waters in Sidoarjo and Surabaya. These SSI-local wisdom topics in chemistry education can be further developed as contexts in learning resources or incorporated into various chemistry teaching models.

Abstract

Flour albus merupakan masalah yang berhubungan dengan organisasi seksual wanita. Flour albus biasanya disebabkan oleh jamur atau virus, bakteri dan flour albus pada ibu hamil disebapkan oleh peningkatan hormone dan masalah ini tentu saja sangat mengganggu penderita. Karena biasanya akan mengeluarkan aroma yang tidak sedap dari organ intimnya dan juga merasa gatal menggangu kenyamanan ibu. Maka dari itu perlu direncanakan suatu asuhan kebidanan oleh bidan dalam menerapkan peran secara mandiri dan kolaborasi.Tujuan penulis mengambil kasus ini untuk melakukan asuhan kebidanan  komprehensif  pada Ny “S” agar tidak terjadi komplikasi dari kehamilan sampai dengan KB. Dengan mendeteksi dini dan penatalaksanaan yang tepat, pengawasan kehamilan yang teratur.Penatalaksanaan dalam mengatasi masalah flour albus adalah dengan cara menjaga kebersihan personal hygiene, memberikan konseling tentang  cara menjaga kebersihan personal hygiene. Hasil asuan kebidanan komprehensif  pada  Ny “S” selama kehamilan trimester III dengan  keluhan flour albus pada persalinan normal. Pada BBL  normal, pada ibu nifas normal, pada Neonatus normal dan menjadi apseptor baru KB suntik 3 bulan. Kesimpulan dari asuhan kebidanan secara komprehensif ini didapat dengan melakukan asuhan kebidanan secara mandiri dan penanganan secara dini, didapatkan keluhan pada ibu berupa flour albus saat kehamilan trimester III, dan tidak didapatkan adanya penyulit pada masa nifas, BBL, Neonatus, dan KB. Disarankan kepada bidan  untuk meningkatkan pelayanan yang berkualitas bagi kesehatan ibu terutama pada ibu hamil dengan keluhan flour albus dan melakukan tindakan pencegahan bagi ibu hamil yang belum mengalami dan penanganan bagi ibu yang terkena flour albus. Kata Kunci  : Asuhan Kebidanan, Komprehensif, Kehamilan Normal.

Abstract

Sampah menjadi permasalahan yang sangat serius di lingkungan seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah populasi manusia. Meningkatnya volume sampah menjadikan sampah harus dikelola dengan bijak agar tidak mencemari lingkungan. Salah satu cara mengolah sampah organik ialah menjadikannya eco-enzyme dan biokonversi maggot. Eco-enzym merupakan hasil fermentasi dari limbah kulit buah atau sisa sayuran dengan tambahan gula merah dan hasil akhir berupa cairan yang memiliki beragam manfaat. Biokonversi maggot merupakan pengolahan sampah organik dengan bantuan maggot (larva Black Soldier Fly).  Keberadaan bank sampah di Kabupaten Tulungagung sangat membantu untuk terciptanya kondisi lingkungan yang baik dan pengelolaan sampah yang terpadu. Namun masih banyak kekurangan dari bank sampah, salah satunya bank sampah masih sangat minim pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan sampah organik yang memiliki nilai ekonomi seperti eco-enzyme dan budidaya maggot (larva Black Soldier Fly). Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anggota bank sampah mengenai pengelolaan sampah organik dengan pembuatan eco-enzym dan pelatihan budidaya maggot yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi limbah sampah organik. Kegiatan dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2023 di Bank Sampah Mandiri dan Bank Sampah Setyo Tuhu. Metode kegiatan berupa ceramah, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan 20 anggota bank sampah dari 10 bank sampah aktif di Kabupaten Tulungagung dan mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 98%  peserta yang berasal dari anggota bank sampah sangat puas dengan pelatihan pembuatan eco-enzyme dan 95% merasa puas dengan pelatihan budidaya maggot. Dengan pembuatan eco-enzyme dan budidaya maggot kita ikut mengurangi volume sampah organik, serta ikut mengembangkan produk eco-enzyme dan maggot yang sangat bermanfaat bagi manusia dan lingkungan.
