Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze preferences, consumption patterns, as well as factors that impacted household consumption of organic rice in Bandar Lampung City. The study method utilized was a survey. The selection of Bandar Lampung City as the study location was determined using the purposive method. Data collection was conducted in November 2023 - February 2024 with a total of 50 household respondents. Sampling was done by accidental sampling method at A, B, and C supermarkets. The data analysis utilized is multiattribute fishbein, descriptive analysis, as well as multiple linear regression. The results indicated that housewives aged 33-46 years with the latest education level of undergraduate make up the majority of household customers. The number of family members ranges from 3-4 people with an average total household income of IDR 7,610,000 per month. The preference of households in Bandar Lampung City for organic rice are favorabel. Most households consume organic brown rice with the Hotel brand. Make purchases 3-4 times a month with the size of the package purchased, which is 2 kg. The frequency of cooking is 7 times a week with an average consumption of 11.24 kg per month. The reason households consume organic rice is because of food safety factors. Factors that substantially impact the amount of household consumption of organic rice in Bandar Lampung City are the price of organic rice, the price of non-organic rice, household income, age, and taste. Key words:   consumption pattern, organic rice, preference

Abstract

Oil palm farming in South Lampung Regency was started in 1997, and as it due to economic age, replanting phase is urgently required. This research aims to analyze the financial feasibility of replanting oil palm farming and its sensitivity to various changes. The research was carried out in Katibung District and Candipuro District, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province from December 2023 – January 2024, with a sample size of 63 oil palm farmers. The data utilized included both primary data and secondary data. The data were analyzed quantitatively using NPV, IRR, Net B/C, Gross B/C, and Payback Period. Based on the research results, the replanting of oil palm farming is financially feasible to carry out. The sensitivity results show that palm oil production costs increased 5.95 percent, palm oil production drop 37.39 percent, and FFB selling prices fell 47.84 percent, replanting palm oil farming is still financially feasible to carry out. Keywords: feasibility, oil palm, replanting, sensitivity

Abstract

This research aims to analyze: (1) profitability, (2) risks and mitigation actions in the instant ginger agroindustry. This study employs a case study method on the instant ginger agroindustry at UMKM Gendis Ayu Jahe, Tulang Bawang Udik District, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. The research location was determined purposively, considering that the agroindustry is actively producing instant ginger. The respondents in this study are the owner and five employees of UMKM Gendis Ayu Jahe. Data collection was conducted from January to February 2024. The data analysis methods used in this research are profitability analysis and risk analysis using the House of Risk (HOR) method. The results show that (1) UMKM Gendis Ayu Jahe is profitable as the R/C ratio is greater than 1, and (2) the priority risk agents in UMKM Gendis Ayu Jahe are the insufficient number of raw material suppliers, fluctuations in product order quantities, scarcity of red ginger as the main raw material, the low capability of suppliers to meet red ginger needs, and sudden increases in demand volume. The priority mitigation actions at UMKM Gendis Ayu Jahe are improving relationships and communication with raw material suppliers, forming partnerships with red ginger farmers, implementing a make-to-stock production system, diversifying products using alternative raw materials, and Expanding the search area for regions that produce red ginger

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of job satisfaction, work motivation, employee performance, and the condition of work environment; the magnitude of the influence of job satisfaction and work environment on employee performance both direct and indirect ; and the magnitude of the influence of work motivation on employee performance.  Data collection was carried out at PT XYZ  Lampung from December 2022 to January 2023.  This research was conducted using survey method involving 63 employees of production department.  The data gathered from survey were analyzed using descriptive analysis and path analysis.  The results show that production employees are satisfied with their jobs at PT XYZ.  Meanwhile, work motivation, employee performance, and work environment are categorized as good.  This study indicates that job satisfaction has a greater direct effect through work motivation on employee performance.  In reverse, the work environment has a greater indirect effect on employee performance, both through work motivation and job satisfaction.   Key words: employee performance, job satisfaction, path analysis, work environment, work motivation

Abstract

Changing food patterns that are more varied and reducing rice consumption was an effort to increase food consumption diversification to obtain superior human resources. The purpose of this study was to identify the household food consumption diversity in Lampung Province and to analyze its determinants. This research uses secondary data from the results of the 2019 National Social Economic Survey (NSES). The number of samples used in this research is 9,046 households. The method used to analyze household diversification is the Berry Index (BI), while multiple regression is used to determine the determinants of food consumption diversification. The results showed that the majority of households were classified as moderately diversified with an average BI of 0.826. The results of this study show that household income, number of household members, age of head of household, education of head of household and mother, type of area, gender of the household’s head and level of welfare affected diversification of household food consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the purchasing pattern of Agung Jaya palm flour by home industry and the demand for Agung Jaya palm flour by households in Bandar Lampung. This research was conducted in Bandar Lampung, from September 2023 - October 2023.  The samples used in this study were all home industries that bought Agung Jaya palm flour and 50 households that had bought Agung Jaya palm flour. Household samples were selected by accidental sampling method.  The research data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the home industry bought Agung Jaya palm flour 2 - 4 times/month with an amount of 5 kg - 80 kg/purchase, so the average purchase was 118 kg/industry/month. The palm flour sold to the home industry is a type of bulk palm flour with a price of Rp10,000/kg. Industries that made purchases consisted of the cendol dawet processing industry, frozen food, meatballs, and chicken noodles, as well as wet cakes. In the analysis of household demand, it is known that the price of rice, number of household members, knowledge of diversification, and taste affected the demand for Agung Jaya palm flour at the household level in Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The Women Farmers Group (KWT) is one of the farmer institutions in empowering women to support agricultural development programs. The target of the activity is KWT Harapan Kita, Sinar Harapan Village, Rajabasa Jaya Urban Village, Rajabasa Sub-District, Bandar Lampung City which has a productive business of processing food made from local food. Food processing made from local food raw materials is a strategic activity in accelerating food diversification in the community. This activity aims to increase the resource capacity of KWT Harapan Kita by increasing: 1) Knowledge of diversification of food and local food ingredients; 2) Knowledge and skills of local food processing; 3) Knowledge and skills of orderly administration and determination of product selling prices; and 4) Knowledge and understanding of the halal assurance system for products and halal certificate for KWT’s food products. The methods to be used are counseling, training, mentoring, and demonstrations. The results of the activity show that the knowledge and understanding of KWT Harapan Kita about local food diversification, orderly administration and determination of product selling prices, and halal certification of products has increased by 60,11%, and 20 types of local food processed products of KWT Harapan Kita got halal certification of LPPOM MUI with number 02100018190121. In the future, KWT Harapan Kita needs to be assisted to promote product development that has been carried out and certified so that the market opportunities will open and increase.

Abstract

Enviromental issue stimulate growth of green marketing. The aims of this research are to evaluate implementation of green marketing and attitude of natural cosmetics consumens at PT Best One Natural in case to support green cosmetics marketing. Data collection in July to September 2023 at Terusan Nunyai, Lampung Tengah. The research method used is case study which is analized by qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The samples are consumers of PT Best One Natural which are recruited by random sampling. Total respondens are 54 consumers. Data analyzed by descriptive analysis, namely Multiatribut Fishbein and Ideal model for analyse Consumer Behaviour. Analyze of this research showed that PT Best One Natural have implement green marketing in green product specially at quality aspect and minimalize product waste, then still optimalize at green price, green promotion also green place aspect. The research show that consumers like Best One Natural products with the highest score on the quality attribute and the lowest score on the price attribute. Consumers stated that the highest ideal model was for the longlasting fragrance attribute and the lowest ideal value was for the label attribute. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis perbedaan pola konsumsi kacang tanah di wilayah perdesaan dan perkotaan, menghitung kontribusi energi kacang tanah terhadap konsumsi energi golongan kacang-kacangan, dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi permintaan kacang tanah rumah tangga konsumen kacang tanah di Provinsi Lampung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang berasal dari Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS) Maret 2023. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 298 rumah tangga konsumen kacang tanah, dari total 10.433 rumah tangga sampel Susenas. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan verifikatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata jumlah konsumsi kacang tanah biji dan olahan oleh rumah tangga konsumen kacang tanah mencapai 2,35 kg/rumah tangga/bulan, dengan rata-rata konsumsi di perkotaan sebesar 2,46 kg/rumahtangga/bulan dan di perdesaan sebesar 2,32 kg/rumahtangga/bulan. Jika dilihat dari seluruh rumah tangga, rata-rata konsumsi kacang tanah sebesar 0,28 kg/rumahtangga/bulan. Untuk jenis kacang tanah biji, konsumsi oleh rumah tangga konsumen kacang tanah sebesar 2,07 kg/rumahtangga/bulan, pada jenis olahan bumbu pada makanan siomay/batagor sebesar 0,18 kg/rumahtangga/bulan dan pada makanan gado-gado/ketoprak/pecel sebesar 0,11 kg/rumahtangga/bulan. Sebagian besar kacang tanah yang dikonsumsi rumah tangga konsumen diperoleh dari pembelian. Kontribusi energi kacang tanah terhadap konsumsi energi golongan kacang-kacangan rumah tangga konsumen sebesar 62,43%, sedangkan untuk seluruh rumah tangga di Provinsi Lampung sebesar 17,73%. Harga kacang tanah berpengaruh nyata negatif dan pendapatan berpengaruh nyata positif terhadap permintaan kacang tanah rumah tangga konsumen kacang tanah di Provinsi Lampung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pola konsumsi ubi jalar antara wilayah perdesaan dan perkotaan, kontribusi energi ubi jalar terhadap standar konsumsi energi umbi-umbian menurut Pola Pangan Harapan (PPH), dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi permintaan ubi jalar pada rumah tangga konsumen ubi jalar di Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang bersumber dari Susenas bulan Maret 2023, dengan sampel sebanyak 1.750 rumah tangga konsumen ubi jalar dari total 10.433 sampel rumah tangga Susenas di Provinsi Lampung dan terdiri dari 1.333 rumah tangga di wilayah perdesaan dan 417 rumah tangga di wilayah perkotaan. Analisis pola konsumsi dan kontribusi energi dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif, untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi permintaan, digunakan pendekatan regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata konsumsi ubi jalar rumah tangga sebesar 1,23 kg/minggu, dengan lebih tinggi di wilayah perdesaan (1,28 kg/minggu) dibandingkan perkotaan (1,07 kg/minggu). Mayoritas rumah tangga, jumlah konsumsinya berada pada kategori rendah (0,1–3,3 kg/minggu), dan umumnya diperoleh dari pembelian. Kontribusi energi ubi jalar terhadap standar konsumsi energi umbi-umbian menurut PPH pada rumah tangga adalah 48,31 persen. Variasi permintaan ubi jalar dipengaruhi oleh harga ubi jalar, harga ubi kayu, pendapatan rumah tangga, jumlah anggota keluarga, pendidikan ibu rumah tangga, usia kepala rumah tangga, dan tipe wilayah dengan permintaan ubi jalar di wilayah perkotaan lebih rendah dibandingkan wilayah perdesaan.
