Abstract

This study evaluates the use of YouTube in learning biographical texts in class X of SMK Negeri 6 Semarang, focusing on its impact on student engagement and understanding. Educational videos from YouTube, combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, enhance students' active learning and critical thinking skills. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method to evaluate the use of the YouTube video "I Understand" in Indonesian learning at SMK N 6 Semarang. The goal is to understand the impact of the video on learning outcomes and teacher and student responses. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The findings of the study show that YouTube videos can increase student engagement in an interesting and interactive way in learning Indonesian. The results show that the integration of YouTube with the PBL model creates a more active and problem-based learning environment, as well as supports the development of students' critical and creative thinking skills. While this combination is effective in improving the ability to write biographical texts, challenges such as internet access and technical skills need to be addressed to maximize their benefits. Recommendations for further practice include the selection of high-quality videos and the integration of videos with interactive activities for optimal learning outcomes. Keywords: Kata Kunci : Media Youtube, Teks Biografi, Pemanfaatan

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of individual and group assignments on learning outcomes in class VII descriptive texts at junior high school. This research was conducted in class VII F and VIIG each class amounting to 32 students. To obtain the necessary data, the researchers used methods in the form of observation, written tests, non-written tests, documentation, while the analytical method used was quantitative data methods in the form of numbers. Data analysis techniques used by researchers are validity test, reliability test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedastic test, normality test, hypothesis testing. The results of this study are the influence of learning outcomes in descriptive texts on individual and group assignments. From the results of the hypothesis that students who are given individual assignments have better learning outcomes of 0.579 compared to the learning outcomes of 0.564 produced by students who are given group assignments Keywords: Description Text, Quantitative Method, Assignments, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The use of YouTube as a learning tool Indonesian Is a method that can be adopted by educators to develop technology learning. This research aims to illustrate the application of YouTube video media to learning life values in class X saga texts. This type of research is mixed. Data were collected through test and non-test methods (such as observation and documentation). Data analysis is done through triangulation techniques. This research uses descriptive-qualitative research methods. Researchers have used the YouTube platform in the process of learning Indonesian material in class X at SMA Negeri 14 Semarang. Teachers can develop technology-based learning by utilizing YouTube as a learning tool for Indonesian subjects. YouTube media can be used and accessed by everyone, including students. Researchers have used YouTube media used in the learning process of Indonesian class X. According to the results of test and non-test data analysis, it can be concluded that youtube video media can be applied to learning saga texts in grade X students.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2024 elections is regulated in the General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 3 of 2022, which also stipulates the election schedule and stages.After the simultaneous general elections that took place on February 14, 2024, problems arose among the public regarding the Quick Count results, especially for the Presidential election.The Quick Count results themselves generated various opinions, both positive and negative.In the post-election Twitter page, there are many conversations in cyberspace related to the Quick Count results on Twitter. Thus, sentiment analysis can be used to classify tweets and comments about the 2024 election quick count results into three categories, namely positive, negative, and neutral.Thus, this analysis is expected to provide some significant benefits related to the quick count results in the 2024 election. Random Forest and Support Vector Machine are two machine learning techniques used to measure how accurate the resulting sentiment analysis is. From the results of the research that has been carried out, there are 2000 data collected during February 2024. After preprocessing and labeling, there are 1,116 positive class data, 730 negative class data and 154 neutral class data.From the results of the comparison of the algorithms evaluated, the accuracy value of the two algorithms was obtained.The Random Forest algorithm produces an accuracy of 78%, while the SVM algorithm produces an accuracy of 80%.This shows that in sentiment analysis on the 2024 election quick count, the SVM method obtained a greater accuracy value compared to Random Forest.

Abstract

This article describes the results of research on the depiction of female slaves in Indonesian novels published in 2023 and the assumptions on the basis of the existence of slavery in Indonesian novels in the 2023 era. Through novels, slavery can be remembered again and provide a lot of information. Books that tell stories about colonial events are not only books published several years after colonial events. The Indonesian novel published in 2023 also tells the story of slavery, and even clearly describes how and what female slaves experienced during the colonial period. The research was completed using library study methods and note-reading techniques. The results of data acquisition are described qualitatively. The results of the research found several depictions of female slaves during the colonial period in Indonesian novels published in 2023. Slavery and women is a record of historical events that depict the journey of an important period in Indonesia that should always be read throughout time, including until 2023.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of formative assessment in creative writing instruction at the senior high school level through a comprehensive evaluative approach. The research addresses the critical need for effective assessment practices in literature education, particularly in developing students' creative writing competencies. Using a mixed-method design, data were collected from 156 students and 12 teachers across six senior high schools through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and student performance assessments over one academic semester. The findings reveal that systematic implementation of formative assessment significantly enhanced students' writing proficiency, with a 68% improvement in creative expression and a 72% increase in technical writing skills. The study identified key success factors including continuous feedback mechanisms, digital assessment tools integration, and collaborative learning environments. However, challenges such as time constraints and technological adaptation were noted. This research contributes to the development of evidence-based assessment practices in literature education and provides practical recommendations for enhancing creative writing instruction at the secondary education level.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of leadership styles on risk-based decision-making, comparing managerial and leadership approaches at SMAN 1 Karanganyar Demak. As educational environments become increasingly complex, school leaders face challenges that necessitate effective decision-making, particularly in risky situations. The research aims to identify how different leadership styles impact decision outcomes and the involvement of stakeholders. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through surveys and interviews with teachers and school administrators. Findings indicate that transformational leadership significantly enhances decision-making effectiveness compared to traditional managerial approaches. The implications of this study suggest that adopting a transformational leadership style can lead to better engagement and improved risk management in schools, ultimately fostering a more conducive learning environment. This research contributes to the existing literature by addressing the gap in comparative studies of leadership styles in educational settings, providing practical recommendations for school leaders to enhance decision-making processes.

Abstract

Ahmad Tohari presents the narrative of a village community under a corrupt village head in the novel Di Kaki Bukit Cibalak (2022). One of the villagers initiates an effort to improve the village's economic state amid hesitation to confront the corrupt village head. This article qualitatively examined the ideological fantasy of social harmony (rukun) in rural Java, Indonesia, as depicted in Ahmad Tohari's Di Kaki Bukit Cibalak. The sociology of literature approach correlated the story's facts with the social realities in Java. Data were collected through documentation techniques. Meanwhile, the analysis was conducted using Slavoj Žižek's theory of ideological fantasy and the concept of social harmony. The findings revealed that the lower-class villagers in rural Java had a symbolic mandate to 'surrender' to maintain social harmony, even though the subject aimed to defy the corrupt village head. The Javanese villagers preferred to avoid open conflict, which led the subject to leave its idealism rather than confront the corrupt leader despite their disgust of the corruption and their aspiration to improve the village. As the representation of reality, it is critical as the ideological fantasy of social harmony causes the lower-class villagers to postpone resisting the corrupt village head to maintain peace, providing chances for any kind of violences thrive in real life.

Abstract

Guru Bahasa Indonesia SMA dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yaitu guru masih kurang dapat memahami materi Bahasa Indonesia yang berkaitan dengan ilmu Sintaksis. Salah satunya mengenai struktur kalimat dan jenis kalimat. Dalam penempatan struktur kalimat masih dirasakan ada kesulitan. Hal itu membuat pemahaman guru berbeda dengan guru lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan guru dalam pengembangan buku Bahasa Indonesia SMA berbasis Sintaksis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian adalah guru Bahasa Indonesia SMA Kota Semarang. Teknik pengambilan data dengan cara pendistribusian angket secara daring, wawancara, dan FGD daring kemudian dianalisis dengan mengguakan teknik analisis data kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian analisis kebutuhan awal ini diperoleh hasil bahwa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, ilmu Sintaksis masuk dalam pembahasan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia SMA. Kurikulum yang saat ini digunakan adalah kurikulum 2013 revisi. Dalam kurikulum ini pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis teks. Materi Bahasa Indonesia dalam beberapa teks pembelajaran terdapat pembahasan yang berkaitan dengan ilmu Sintaksis yaitu mengenai pembahasan kalimat.

Abstract

The objectives contained in this study, the general objective of developing this teaching media is to produce Indonesian language teaching media for writing descriptive texts at the junior high school level that can be accessed on gadgets or PCs. Students who are accustomed to accessing gadgets or PCs to find references in doing assignments, often find texts that are not quite right in their writing. Therefore, students need to be given teaching media that can inspire them in writing texts on platforms on the internet, especially in writing descriptive texts. In addition to being able to write descriptive texts well and correctly, they also gain knowledge related to historical places in Tegal Regency. The results of students' learning to write descriptive texts were higher after using teaching media. These results are reinforced by the results of the hypothesis test which rejects Ho because t count> t table. Based on the results obtained in this study, the researcher makes a suggestion, namely that this study produces digital teaching media that is very good and easy to use in learning to write descriptive texts. This teaching media can be used, both independently and in the face-to-face learning process in the classroom. However, researchers who are interested in continuing this research can make improvements by utilizing more interesting and more sophisticated supporting platforms that are easy to access and to increase the effectiveness of teaching media, researchers need further research with more research subjects so that the results obtained are more valid.
