Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom learning model in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Taruna Bandar Lampung. The research was motivated by the low levels of student engagement and critical thinking ability, largely due to the continued dominance of traditional teaching approaches. A quantitative approach was employed, using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 60 eleventh-grade students divided into two groups: an experimental group (Flipped Classroom) and a control group (conventional learning). The research instrument was a validated 20-item multiple-choice test. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, Levene's Test for homogeneity, independent sample t-test, N-Gain, and Cohen’s d effect size, assisted by SPSS 23.0 and Excel 2013. The results showed that the Flipped Classroom model was significantly more effective in improving critical thinking skills than the conventional method (p < 0.05), with an average N-Gain of 0.72 (high category) in the experimental group and a large effect size. These findings highlight the importance of student-centered, technology-based instructional innovations in strengthening critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine whether the application of kasgot organic fertilizer can increase the growth and yield of edamame, determine whether the effectiveness of kasgot organic fertilizer is better than non-kasgot organic fertilizer, and determine the best combination of kasgot organic fertilizer and non-kasgot organic fertilizer in increasing the growth and yield of soybeans. The treatments used: no organic fertilizer (control) (P0), non kasgot solid organic fertilizer (P1), non kasgot liquid organic fertilizer (P2), kasgot solid organic fertilizer (P3), kasgot liquid organic fertilizer (P4), non kasgot solid and liquid organic fertilizer (P5), kasgot solid and liquid organic fertilizer (P6), and non kasgot organic fertilizer and kasgot organic fertilizer (P7). The research findings indicate that the application of organic fertilizer enhances the growth and yield of soybeans compared to the control. Specifically, the combination of solid kasgot organic fertilizer (5 t ha-1) with liquid kasgot (50 ml L-1 water) produced the best plant growth and number of pods plant-1. It was also reported that the variables of number of branches, plant height, and plant wet weight significantly positively correlate with the number of pods plant-1.

Abstract

upplementary Feeding (PMT) is a vital service at Integrated Healthcare Centers (Posyandu) that requires balanced nutritional content and varied preparations. Therefore, training on innovative PMT preparation for healthcare cadres is essential. This community service activity aimed to develop innovative PMT based on fish and vegetable preparations, featuring balanced nutrition and an appealing taste. This activity involved eight cadres from the Sedap Malam Integrated Healthcare Center and was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage identified partner needs, while the implementation included material delivery and hands-on practice. At the end of the activity, an organoleptic test was conducted on the resulting products. The organoleptic test results showed a high acceptance rate for the fish-based PMT innovation, with an average preference score of 84.4% for taste, color, and texture. This product can serve as a solution for fulfilling toddler nutrition. Similar activities should be developed involving various parties, such as the government, universities, and the private sector.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to see the influence of health education about reproductive health on students' level of knowledge. Methodology: The research sample used was 24 people using a convenience sampling technique. The method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Data collection used a questionnaire as a research instrument. The data analysis technique used was the Wilcoxon test. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that students' knowledge before receiving health education had an average value of 81.9%, and after receiving health education it increased to 86.3%. The results of the hypothesis test with an alpha error rate of 0.05 obtained a p value > 0.05, meaning there was no significant difference in adolescents' knowledge before and after receiving health education. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research presents a novel approach by in-depth examining the influence of health education on improving adolescents' knowledge of reproductive health using a contextual and interactive educational approach. The focus on adolescents in the digital age makes these findings crucial for developing more relevant, responsive, and sustainable school intervention strategies.
