Abstract

Since the first time of curriculum 2013 has been launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture for elementary and high school, it becomes newsworthy and important for education development in Indonesia. This analysis aims to describe: (1) How is application of scientific approach in language teaching, (2) The teachers?? and students?? role in the classroom, and (3) Students?? English language improvement in their classroom. Qualitative research method is used to describe the whole phenomena in the classroom. The source of this case study comes from observing events and documents, while observation and field note supported in collecting the data. The use of video recording also helps the researcher capturing the whole detail information of the teaching process. The finding shows that: (1) the scientific approach is applied by using five principles steps: observing, questioning, experimenting, associating and networking. (2) The Teacher has role as a facilitator while students become subject of education (students?? center). (3) English Students improve more communicative and expressive. In conclusion, the scientific approach is appropriate and gives impact in teaching English. Keywords: scientific approach, language teaching, language development

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many impacts in various fields such as education, economy, development and tourism. Therefore it is necessary to take precautions so that the spread does not get wider and ends soon. The purpose of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) work program is to provide education to the public through the dissemination of COVID-19 vaccination and adaptation of new habits, as an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Gondoriyo Village, Bergas District, Semarang Regency. The COVID-19 vaccination is a form of effort made by the government to break the chain of COVID-19, with the intention that if vaccination coverage is high and evenly distributed in an area, it will form herd immunity. The method of socialization carried out is by placing posters and banners around Gondoriyo Village by complying with applicable health protocols according to government regulations. The socialization is expected to provide understanding to the public so that they continue to carry out government regulations to stop the spread of COVID-19. To support the government's vaccination efforts, it is also encouraging the adaptation of new habits in the community which includes 10 adaptations of new habits, namely using masks when traveling, washing hands with soap and running water, carrying hand sanitizer wherever traveling, maintaining a minimum distance of 1-2 meters, reducing mobility and reducing mobility. interaction, avoiding crowds, consuming vitamins and healthy nutritious food, keeping the environment clean, exercising at least 2-3 times a week, and getting enough rest. This socialization is expected to provide a better understanding of COVID-19 vaccination and Adaptation to New Habits (IMR) in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to discover: (1) the implementation of self-concept in fashion training; (2) the implementation of learning experiences in fashion training; (3) the implementation of learning readiness in fashion training; and (4) the implementation of adult learning orientation in clothing design training. This study is a descriptive qualitative study that collected data by monitoring the execution of Clothing Design training activities, conducting interviews regarding learning activities with a number of LCS heads, two instructors, and five training students. Modules, lesson plans, and training implementation reports are all necessary documents. The validity of the data is determined through source triangulation (interviews, documents, and observations), and data analysis techniques are used to acquire data, reduce data, present data, and make conclusions. This study's findings include: (1) Self-concept implementation: trainees are not directly involved in the learning planning process, but they do participate in agreements during the learning process and at the evaluation stage. (2) Learning experience implementation: project-based learning is applied in the Ungaran SKB. (3) Learning readiness implementation: adult learning at SKB Ungaran is relevant to trainees' vocations and lives. (4) Learning orientation implementation: trainees receive adequate encouragement from the teacher when they encounter difficulties in learning. This study concluded that adult learning implementation must apply adult principles by incorporating students in learning, designing learning that emphasizes experimental principles, adapting learning that can be directly applied, and having a learning orientation. The benefit of this research is knowing how to apply learning in accordance with adult learning principles.

Abstract

Managing the Literacy Class Program at Taman Lentera School in Semarang is an urgent priority to enhance students' reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, which will directly impact the improvement of education quality and empowerment of the younger generation in the future. This study aims to reveal the implementation of the literacy class program at Taman Lentera School related to management, supporting, and inhibiting factors. The design used in this study is qualitative, using a case study approach. The subjects of the study are founders, alumni volunteers, and active volunteers. Data were collected through (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) documentation. The data validity technique used in this study is source and technique triangulation, with data analysis using data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results revealed that program management includes six functions:  (a) planning, (b) organizing, (c) mobilizing, (d) coaching, (e) assessment, and (f) development. Volunteers, community leaders, youth, parents, and children are supporting factors. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are consistency, communication, and coordination of volunteers, which are still lacking, limited literature owned by Taman Lentera School, and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional masih menjadi masalah yang sering terjadi di lembaga pendidikan, pembelajaran dengan metode tersebut terkesan membosankan sehingga mengurangi minat belajar siswa. Kondisi tersebut akan sulit meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik dan tidak mampu mencapai tujuan atau hasil belajar yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode project based learning dan kreativitas siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di KBIT Al Amin, subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan 2 orang pendidik. Teknik validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu guru merancang kegiatan pembelajaran dengan metode project based learning melalui kegiatan bermain, bercerita, dan berdiskusi sesuai tema yang sudah ditentukan, serta media penunjang pembelajarannya menggunakan loose parts sehingga siswa bersemangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Pengaruh dari pembelajaran project based learning terhadap kreativitas siswa diantaranya siswa menjadi tidak mudah bosan, tertarik pada kegiatan kreatif, memiliki keingintahuan yang tinggi, percaya diri, berani mengambil resiko, terbuka terhadap hal-hal baru, imajinatif, toleransi, dan memiliki tanggung jawab.

Abstract

Penggunaan gadget dilengkapi dengan akses internet pada anak usia dini saat ini telah umum dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat modern. Gadget bisa menjadi masalah terbesar di era globalisasi ketika orang tua memiliki inisiatif memberi dan membeli gadget untuk anak-anak dikarenakan sibuk bekerja sehingga orang tua menganggap tanpa kehadiran orang tua anak-anak tidak akan merasa kesepian, namun penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan dapat mempengaruhi pembentukan karakter anak. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian  explanatory research. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan Teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan 105 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner/angket melalui google from dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif statistika inferensial serta teknik analisis regresi sederhana.Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif diperoleh data komunikasi orangtua dan penggunaan gadget dari 105 sampel berada pada kategori sangat baik dan variabel pembentukan karkater dalam kategori baik. Pada analisis regresi sederhana berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap data memiliki hubungan nilai signifikansi pada sebesar 0,000 0,05. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah Komunikasi orang tua anak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter, maka h1 dapat diterima, Penggunaan gadget memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter, maka h2 dapat diterima, Komunikasi orang tua dan penggunaan gadget secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter, maka h 3 diterima, Komunikasi orang tua dan penggunaan gadget memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar pada pembentukan karakter. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada R2, dimana komunikasi orang tua dan penggunaan gadget memiliki pengaruh sebesar 43,9% terhadap pembentukan karakter, sedangkan sisanya 56,1%.Kata kunci : Komunikasi orang tua-anak1, Penggunaan Gadget2, Pembentukan Karakter3.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the evaluation of Japanese language training using the CIPP Model developed by Stufflebeam, including the evaluation of context, input, process, and product at LPK Akeno Gakuen. This research uses a qualitative approach. The study participants consisted of LPK managers, 2 tutors, and 5 study residents. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interview, and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that: (1) context evaluation: the training program has been achieved in accordance with the needs of learning residents and in accordance with the objectives of the institution or learning residents. (2) input evaluation: all aspects can support the implementation of Japanese language learning. However, the need for additional Japanese language tutors and infrastructure facilities requires additional or updated classrooms that are lacking. (3) process evaluation: the components of the process in LPK run well, it's just that the aspects related to tutor activities have not been maximized. It is necessary to provide appropriate training and professional development for tutors in order to maximize learning activities in class. In addition to learning obstacles, there is a need for tutors to develop effective classroom management strategies so that the specified learning goals can be achieved. (4) product evaluation: Japanese language training at LPK Akeno Gakuen has reached all components, LPK has succeeded in equipping citizens to learn by improving their knowledge and skills in Japanese.

Abstract

Training is needed to improve the quality of human resources because it will guarantee that they will become the workers needed by companies or entrepreneurs. This study aims to reveal the management of sewing training at LPK Permata. The research design uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Research participants included leaders, 2 instructors and 3 trainees. The data validity technique in this research is triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis uses data collection, reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that training management includes: (1) planning: identification of needs, formulation of objectives, preparation of programs, preparation of teaching materials, recruitment of instructors and students, determination of methods and media, determination of time and place, determination of evaluation forms, and financing. (2) organizing the organization structure and division of tasks and responsibilities (3) mobilizing based on the form of motivation and implementation of motivation. (4) coaching with montoring. (5) assessment of participants and assessment of activities. (6) development through program improvements and development innovation. It can be concluded that the management of sewing training at LPK Permata has been good in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating, but training and development are still lacking. This research provides reference information and references regarding training management for LPK Permata or future researchers.
