Abstract

The knowledge that embedded in a historical artifact can have multidimensional information, such as time (temporal) and place (spatial) dimension. The temporal dimension indicates when the artifact had been used in the past, while spatial dimension points the location of people who had been using it at the time. Both of these information provide a general overview of the civilization conditions at the artifacts time. In most cases, the spatio-temporal information that attached to an artifact can be used to furnish the missing information of the other artifacts. If the museum managers are able to connect artifacts based on their spatio-temporal information, presenting artifacts historical value to visitors will be more continuous and complete. However, this kind of management needs could not be facilitated by any existing conventional database systems today. The author proposed an ontology approach for storing artifacts’ spatio-temporal information in digital form. This ontology is equipped with rules to perform reasoning thus spatio-temporal information among artifacts could be connected automatically. The result shows that the spatio-temporal ontology can be implemented in order to complete information linkage among the artifacts.

Abstract

RRequirements association depicts inter-relation between two or more requirements within a software project. It provides necessary information for developers during decision-making processes, such as change management, development milestones, bug prediction, cost estimation, and work breakdown structure generation. Modeling association between requirements became a focus of software requirements researchers. Previous studies indicate that requirements association was pre-defined by requirements engineer based on their expert judgments. The judgments require knowledge on requirements and their class realizations. This paper introduces a method to generate a mapping between a set of requirement statements and a set of classes of a given project that realized the respected requirements. The method also generates associations among requirements based on information on associations between classes and the class-requirement mapping. The method utilizes element of relational information resided in a class diagram of respected project. A semantic similarity method was used to define the requirements with their realization classes. A class is considered realizing a requirement if and only if their semantic similarity is higher than a certain threshold. A set of experimentation on four different projects was conducted. The result of the approach was compared with the output produced by human annotators using kappa statistics. The approach is considered as having a fair agreement level (i.e. with kappa value 0.37) with the human annotators to identify and model requirement associations.

Abstract

Requirements are the initial step in the software development process. It is very important to ensure the association (relationship) of requirements and high quality of specification as more than three-quarters failure of software derives from the software requirement process. Therefore, the analysis process is required to ensure the association between requirements and the requirements of other users. As a result, interdependency requirements association is essential. This research proposes an approach of software requirements association. These are based on the reference of interdependency in the user case, namely the result of collaboration of the association of the dependency of requirements based on Unified Modeling Language (UML) design in the Use cases diagram. In this research, the mapping between requirements and use cases and interdependencies between use cases are used to determine the interdependency between requirements. The analysis presented is the association of similar requirements, requires, or, temporal, elaborates dan generalises. The purpose of this research is to generate a requirements dependency graph that models the type of dependency between requirements within a software project.

Abstract

E-commerce present different prospect to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) andprovides benefits to SMEs. At this stage, there are a number of studies focused on SMEs indeveloped countries. For developing countries, the situation is quite different. Furthermore, thereis still limited number of researches on e-commerce adoption by SMEs in Indonesia. SMEs playa vital role in reducing the rate of poverty and unemployment in Indonesian economy. In 2009,micro, small and medium enterprises in Indonesia consist of 52.7 million units or 99.99% of thetotal business enterprises, and employ 96.21 million people or 97% of the total labor forces. SMEsin Indonesia faced internal and external problems. This study explores various factors influencinge-commerce adoption by SMEs in several countries and projecting it to Indonesia. Results showsthat there are a number of perceived opportunities presented by e-commerce adoption inIndonesia, i.e. extending market-reach and even global, increasing customer personalizeservices, and improving its competitiveness. Furthermore, this study also proposes six potentialfactors influenced the adoption of e-commerce by SMEs in Indonesia, i.e. perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, relative advantage, perceived risk, perceived trust, and compatibility.

Abstract

Reusing software has several benefits ranging from reducing cost and risk, accelerating development, and its primary purposes are improving software quality. In the early stage of software development, reusing existing software artifacts may increase the benefit of reusing software because it uses mature artifacts from previous artifacts. One of software artifacts is diagram, and in order to assist the reusing diagram is to find the level of similarity of diagrams. This paper proposes a method for measuring the similarity of the use case diagram using structural and semantic aspects. For structural similarity measurement, Graph Edit Distance is used by transforming each factor and use case into a graph, while for semantic similarity measurement, WordNet, WuPalmer, and Levenshtein were used. The experimentation was conducted on ten datasets from variousprojects. The results of the method were compared with the results of assessments from experts. The measurement of agreement between experts and method was done by using Gwet’s AC1 andPearson correlation coefficient. Measurement results with Gwet’s AC1 diagram similarity are 0,60,which were categorized as “moderate" agreement and the result of measurement with Pearsonis 0.506 which means there is a significant correlation between experts and methods. The resultshowed that the proposed method can be used to find the similarity of the diagram, so finding andreuse of the diagram as a software component can be optimized.

Abstract

Abstract

Currently, almost every country struggles to apply city management to the concept of intelligent cities. Several previous studies have modeled the success, maturity, and success of information systems to use smart city principles. However, there are significant differences between city and district definition in terms of governance frameworks, regional size, livelihood differences, population, socio-economic, and socio-cultural dimensions. Therefore, work on the Smart District IT assessment requires new and unique studies that can differ substantially from smart cities. This study aims to explore the determinants of the success of Smart Regency services with mobile technology. The model and approach are the TRUTAUT model, which combines the concepts for the TRI and the UTAUT model. Two hundred eighty-nine participants could collect data with a smart cellular district service system - data processing using the SmartPLS v.3.2.8 software. Recent findings indicate that the variables proposed in the TRUTAUT model are a positive and essential relation. This study helps to determine the success of the application of intelligent mobile regional services applications. This study confirms that policymakers pay more considerable attention to critical questions that affect the district's smart cellular services' success.

Abstract

The high accuracy of software fault prediction can help testing effort and improving software quality. Previous researchers had proposed the combination of Entropy-Based Discretization (EBD) and Cluster-Based Classification (CBC). However, the irrelevant and redundant features in software fault dataset tend to decrease the prediction accuracy value. This study proposes improvement of CBC outcomes by integrating filtering feature selection methods. Filtering feature selection methods that will be integrated with CBC i.e. Information Gain (IG), Gain Ratio (GR), and One-R (OR). Based on the research using 2 datasets NASA public MDP (i.e. PC2 and PC3), the result shows that the combination of CBC and IG yields the best average accuracy value compared to GR and OR. It generates 67.52% average of probability detection (pd) and 37.42% average of probability false alarm (pf). While CBC without feature selection yields 65.38% average pd and 49.95% average pf. It can be concluded that IG can improve CBC outcomes by increasing 2.14% average pd and reducing 12.53% average pf

Abstract

Software requirements query is the frst stage in software requirements engineering. Elicitation is the process of identifying software requirements from various sources such as interviews with resource persons, questionnaires, document analysis, etc. The user story is easy to adapt according to changing system requirements. The user story is a semi-structured language because the compilation of user stories must follow the syntax as a standard for writing features in agile software development methods. In addition, user story also easily understood by end-users who do not have an information technology background because they contain descriptions of system requirements in natural language. In making user stories, there are three aspects, namely the who aspect (actor), what aspect (activity), and the why aspect (reason). This study proposes the extraction of user stories consisting of who and what aspects of online news sites using feature extraction and maximum entropy as a classifcation method. The systems analyst can use the actual information related to the lessons obtained in the online news to get the required software requirements. The expected result of the extraction method in this research is to produce user stories relevant to the software requirements to assist systems analysts in generating requirements. This proposed method shows that the average precision and recall are 98.21% and 95.16% for the who aspect; 87,14% and 87,50% for what aspects; 81.21% and 78.60% for user stories. Thus, this result suggests that the proposed method generates user stories relevant to functional software.
