Abstract

The movement space of Sulinggih, the Balinese Hindu clergy, is severely restricted in various aspects due to the rules set by the Balinese community to preserve its sanctity. These social rules dictate that Sulinggih must relinquish secular work and focus solely on religious activities. This study aims to explore the applicability of Amartya Sen's Capability Approach theory in analyzing the well-being of Hindu clergy in Bali. The research employs a qualitative method, specifically a literature study. The study reviews the variables identified by Amartya Sen in his writings and studies, which have also been further examined by economists. Based on the analysis, this study proposes a conceptual framework to elucidate and predict how the variables in Sen's theory influence the welfare outcomes of Hindu clergy in Bali. The framework considers commodities and capabilities as potential mediating variables, while conversion factors and social choices are seen as factors that moderate the impact of resources on the attainment of functionings.

This research is an associative quantitative research. The method of determining the sample using simple random sampling with a sample size of 97 respondents. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis, namely path analysis. The results of the study show that 1) land ownership, education level, and work culture have a positive effect on productivity, 2) land ownership area, education level, work culture, and productivity have a positive effect on income, and 3) land ownership area, indirectly does not directly affect income through productivity, while the level of education, and work culture indirectly affect income through productivity. Abstract

Food security has become a global problem in the midst of a war which resulted in an increase in fuel prices followed by an increase in the price of basic necessities, especially our main staple food, namely rice. Overcoming this, the government is expected to pay attention to the welfare of farmers so that farmers are still able to produce to be able to meet food needs in the country. This requires the government's attention in providing counseling and training to farmers in increasing their ability to adopt technology to be applied in the agricultural sector so that production output can be increased and maintain sustainability in the domestic agricultural sector. Technology adoption theory is the main focus in improving the welfare of farmers, this is due to the benefits of information technology as a supporting sector in the production process so as to be able to increase output in a shorter span of time. The higher the ability of farmers to adopt technological developments, the higher their ability to cultivate production land which is able to increase production yields so that it will be followed by an increase in farmer welfare.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest can be said to be an individual's interest in meeting needs without worrying about the risks that will be faced or accepted. Psychological factors involve aspects of individual psychology which include motivation, attitudes, interests and self-confidence. Meanwhile, socio-economic factors relate to teenagers' socio-economic background, including education, family, peers and the economic environment around them. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of psychological and socio-economic factors on the entrepreneurial interest of teenagers in Denpasar City. This research uses a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach to analyze teenagers' entrepreneurial interests in Denpasar City. Qualitative data was obtained through interviews and literature reviews, while quantitative data came from statistics on the number of entrepreneurial teenagers in Denpasar City. The results of the analysis show that self-determination, education and working capital have a positive and significant effect on teenagers' interest in entrepreneurship. Self-determination and education provide knowledge, skills, and motivation, while working capital provides the financial ability to start a business. These findings support social learning theory which emphasizes the importance of experience and knowledge in developing entrepreneurial interest. This research provides new insights in understanding the factors that influence teenagers' interest in entrepreneurship in Denpasar City, which can be the basis for developing programs and policies that support entrepreneurship among the younger generation.

Abstract

Development is a planned process carried out by the government or related institutions to encourage changes that contribute to improving people's welfare. In this case, development is seen as a systematic effort to achieve people's welfare, where the government plays a strategic role in driving the wheels of development, especially in supporting economic growth. Economic growth can be driven through infrastructure development, such as roads, electricity, and mining, because all three play an important role in supporting economic and social activities. This study aims to analyze the effect of road infrastructure, electricity infrastructure, and mining infrastructure on economic growth in Central Sulawesi Province. This study was conducted in Central Sulawesi Province using a quantitative method based on secondary data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that simultaneously, road infrastructure, electricity infrastructure, and mining infrastructure have an effect on economic growth in Central Sulawesi Province. However, partially, only electricity infrastructure has been shown to have a significant effect on economic growth, while road and mining infrastructure do not show a significant effect. However, the government needs to review the strategy for developing and maintaining road and mining infrastructure. Factors such as the low quality and quantity of roads and the lack of development of downstream industries for nickel processing can be obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of this infrastructure in supporting economic growth. On the other hand, increasing electricity capacity and distribution remains a priority to support the development of the industrial sector and small businesses in the region.
