Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of smartphone-based learning media on student learning outcomes in straight motion material for class X. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The research method used was a quasi experimental research design with nonequivalent control group design. The research sample was determined using simple random sampling technique, the research sample used was class X IPA 1 as the experimental class and class X IPA 2 as the control class. The learning process in the experimental class uses smartphone-based learning media and the control class does not use smartphone-based learning media. This research instrument uses a test that meets the categories to measure student learning outcomes in the form of multiple choices. The statistical test results used were the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing assisted by the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 program. The results of this study indicate that the average posttest score obtained by the experimental class students is 81.2 and the average posttest score obtained control class students 65. The output of the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 program on the Nonparametric test, namely the Kruskal-Wallis Test shows Sig <0.05 (0.000 <0.05), then H0 is rejected and Hα is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning media smartphone based on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

A differentiated teaching module based on kurikulum merdeka has been successfully developed on measurement materials in good and practical scientific work. The Alessi and Trollip development model, which consists of three stages, was used in this study. These stages are the planning stage, the design stage, and the development stage. During the planning stage, the researcher performed the following tasks: 1) an analysis of the needs of driving school teachers in three districts, namely Banyuasin, OIC, and East OKU, and 2) a diagnostic analysis of student learning styles at SMA Negeri 1 Semendawai Suku III OKU Timur, and 3) observation and analysis of the independent curriculum structure. Following the planning and design stages, researchers conduct alpha and beta tests during the development stage. The Alpha test is used to determine the level of validity of the developed teaching module. Meanwhile, the Beta test is being conducted to determine the practicability of the developed teaching module. The results of the second Alpha test yielded an excellent percentage of 100%. The acceptable rate of the second Beta test results is 100%. Based on the findings of this study, the independent curriculum-based differentiated teaching module on measurement materials in scientific work developed is valid and practical, making it suitable for use in high school physics learning

Abstract

The development of valid and practical electronic student worksheets based on the theory of conceptual change in thermodynamics material has been completed. This development research uses the Rowntree development model which consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. At the evaluation stage, the researcher used Tessmer's formative evaluation in the form of self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection instruments used expert validation sheets and questionnaires. The results of data analysis at the expert review stage obtained an average expert validation of 4.4 with a very valid category. The average of the student questionnaire sheets in the one-on-one evaluation and small group evaluation phases was 4.4 and 4.5, respectively, with a very practical category. Thus, an electronic student worksheet based on the theory of conceptual change has been successfully developed on valid and practical thermodynamic material. This electronic student worksheet can be used to clarify conceptual understanding and correct thermodynamics misconceptions. Abstract

Flipped classroom is a sort of blended learning in which students learn both synchronously and asynchronously. Synchronous learning has taken place in the classroom in real time. Learners gather feedback while communicating with teachers and classmates at the same time. This review expects to figure out how is the execution and effect of Flipped Classroom in Science Learning (Contextual analysis During the Covid-19 Pandemic) of Class VIII at SMPN 3 Rantau Bayur. This study used a case study as an approach in exploring qualitative data. This examination is a distinct subjective exploration as a contextual analysis with information assortment methods as polls and meetings. The results of this review demonstrate that the execution and effect of flipped classroom in science learning during the Covid-19 pandemic is positive, particularly for class VIII students in science subjects at SMPN 3 Rantau Bayur with a typical rate gain of 76.7% or the category of ‘very good’. Through the flipped classroom, students have the opportunity to concentrate on the topic at home as they are free to set their learning time. Students become familiar with the topic in an enjoyable situation. Students can repeat the learning videos and they are able to access them from anywhere. Besides, parents can participate in learning activities outside the classroom and make time to help their children learn. However, one of the drawbacks is the lack of devices to watch videos given by the teacher as not all students have computers, laptops, or smartphones. Also, the teachers still find difficulties in preparing good quality videos as learning media for students.

Abstract

Nanofibers is one of the results of composites that have an important role in the industrial field, wound dressing, drug delivery and tissue engineering. Manufacturing of nanofibers can be carried out using electrospinning. Electrospinning is an easy, fast and simple technique for produced fibers with sizes ranging from micrometers to nanometers. We explained how to produce and the characteristics of nanofibers.  The purpose of this study was to see the characterization of PVP/CA fiber. The fiber were made with consentration of PVP 10.4% (w/w) and mixed with variation of chitosan 0.5%;1%;1.5% (w/w). Process parameter that used in this research such us flowrate 0,20 ml/hour, high voltage 12 kV, and speed of drum is 200 rpm with the distances to needle tip of collector is 75 cm. The result showed that the morphology of fiber PVP/CA are bead fiber and bead free. The average diameter of PVP/CA fibers was 234;267;325 nm. Adding chitosan made the diameter of fibers increase. The XRD result shown that the fibers of PVP/CA/AE has an amorf phase. The fibers were potentially used in any sectors.

Abstract

Utilizing carbon materials derived from natural biomass holds significant promise for battery applications, owing to their low cost, abundant availability, and environmentally sustainable characteristics. However, graphite anode materials do not meet the demands of efficient batteries. Coconut shell waste has the potential to be used as activated carbon in energy storage anodes. By adding silicon dioxide (SiO2) to maintain structural stability and electrochemical reaction kinetics, the advantages of CCS can be maximized. Polyacrylonitrile/polyvinylidene fluoride (PAN/PVDF) composite polymer was used as a matrix to embed CCS/SiO2 and synthesize nanofibers via electrospinning. The resulting nanofibers had diameters ranging from to 575–707 nm, with cross-linked, porous, and beadless characteristics. Mechanical properties were measured by single-fiber micro tensile tests. The young modulus, tensile strength, and toughness of each nanofiber were successfully maintained at 13.7 ± 0.4 MPa, 34.4 ± 0.1 MPa, and 982 ± 10 kJ/m3, respectively, because of the presence of a β-crystal growth layer that facilitated efficient stress transmission. The reduction-oxidation process response had a potential difference of less than 1.286 V in the first cycle, whereas for the third and fifth cycles, it was maintained below 3.416 V. The lithium-ion diffusion coefficient was below 4.73×1013 cm2/s. Using the anode directly, as in lithium-ion batteries, provided a high capacity of 382 mAh/g after 200 cycles. Good cycle stability, with over 98% retention of the initial capacitance after 200 charge/discharge cycles, underscores its potential for application in lithium-ion batteries.
