Abstract

Benteng Pancasila street often experiences congestion caused by excessive side barriers due to the large number of parked vehicles and vendors selling on the shoulder of the street. This study aims to improve Jl Benteng Pancasila section performance and forecasts for the next five years. This research is quantitative descriptive research that produces quantitative data and being analysis based on descriptive situation. This study shows that based on peak time and side resistance calculations, the final saturation (DS) value is 0.75 at LOS D. After implementing the improvement alternatives, the DS values are 0.71 for LOS C in 2022 and 0.82 in 2026. LOS value of D. This condition needs to alternative improvement to improve road performance Benteng Pancasila street.

Abstract

Highways are transportation infrastructure that is very important in supporting land transportation. Without being matched by an increase in road infrastructure, it will result in an excessive load on the road structure and will cause congestion. Congestion is one of the problems that is often experienced or encountered, congestion occurs due to the large number of vehicles that exceed the capacity of the road so that it affects road performance. Based on the network pattern seen during holidays or weekends, access to and from the Malang City area tends to increase. Road side barriers that occur on Commander Sudirman street, Singosari are one of the causes of traffic jams. This research aims to provide an alternative plan in overcoming the problem of traffic jams on Commander Sudirman street, Singosari. The method used in this research was based on the 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI), as well as data collection using direct observation methods in the field and then followed by collecting primary data and secondary data. From the research results, the vehicle volume of 2320.6 pcu/hour and degree of saturation (DS) of 0.80 with a level of service (LOS) class D. So it is necessary to divert the route for heavy vehicles (HV) that pass through Commander Sudirman street in the direction of Malang - Surabaya to be diverted via Tumapel street, Ronggowuni street and Kertanegara street, then return to street main route, while for vehicles from Surabaya to Malang that will cross Commander Sudirman street with heavy vehicle types (HV) will follow the current road diversion, namely crossing Rogonoto street, Kebon Agung street, Watu Gede street, and Stasiun street then returning. to the main road as well as installing signs prohibiting parking in the Singosari market shopping area which is on Commander Sudirman street. From the results of this treatment the DS value became 0.76.

Abstract

Desa Purwosekar Kecamatan Tajinan Kabupaten Malang merupakan lokasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan 1) Pembuatan area wisata di sekitaran waduk Purboyo; 2 Membuat area kolam ikan disekitaran aliran waduk dan produk olahannya sebagai potensi desa; 3). Membuat area hiburan di kawasan waduk dan sekitarnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian di Desa Purwosekar Kecamatan Tajinan Kabupaten Malang ini dilaksanakan dengan adanya beberapa kegiatan yaitu menjaga kondisi waduk tetap bersih, adanya pelatihan terkait pengembangan produk olahan yang mendukung potensi lokal. Dalam hal ini dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan budidaya ikan dan produk olahan ikan yang di kembangkan di area kolam sekitaran waduk Purboyo. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki target luaran berupa terciptanya kawasan wisata di area waduk dengan adanya pemberdayaan potensi area waduk yaitu kolam untuk budidaya ikan dan produk olahan. Dengan demikian diharapkan pada akhirnya mampu mengembangkan kawasan waduk menjadi wahana pariwisata untuk membantu menyebarluaskan promosi produk-produk buatan masyarakat pedesaan dan meningkatkan perekonomian di Desa Purwosekar.

Abstract

UB Forest adalah kawasan hutan pendidikan yang berada dibawah pengelolaan Universitas Brawijaya. Sebagai hutan pendidikan, UB Forest merupakan tempat untuk dapat meneliti dan mengembangkan sarana konservasi air di kawasan alam. Embung sebagai salah satu bangunan konservasi air, merupakan bangunan penyimpan air yang dapat berfungsi untuk menampung limpasan air hujan dan digunakan untuk penyediaan air serta pariwisata. Dalam perencanaan titik potensial embung, salah satu parameter penting yang penting untuk diinvestigasi adalah kondisi geoteknik, topografi, dan hidrologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui desk study, survei geoteknik dan topografi, serta pengambilan sampel tanah dan pengujian di laboratorium. Sedangkan survei topografi meliputi pengukuran lapangan dan analisa melalui peta, dan hidrologi meliputi survei lapangan kondisi hidrologi serta desk studi melalui data-data sekunder. Hasil studi dan survei lapangan didapatkan tampungan air potensial pada lokasi alternatif 1,2, dan 3 adalah sebesar 2235.98 m3, 4021.68 m3, and 9069.24 m3, dan dari hasil investigasi geoteknik didapatkan lapisan tanah pasir mendominasi jenis tanah di lokasi studi dengan berat jenis berkisar antara 2,1 hingga 2,6 gr/cm3, porositas 83-85%, nilai kohesi 0,05 dan 0,12 kg/cm2, sudut geser 28o dan 34o, dan permeabilitas 2,4 x 10-5 dan 6,13 10-5 cm/detik.

Abstract

Jalan Prancis yang berada di sebelah sungai dadap merupakan daerah yang rawan terkena banjir akibat luapan air dari sungai dadap. Maka dari itu, tujuannya dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui besarnya angkutan sedimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu mengunakan data primer (kecepatan aliran, kedalaman sungai, lebar penampang sungai, sampel sedimen dasar dan sampel sedimen melayang. Metode yang digunakan untuk sedimen dasar yaitu metode Meyer-Peter-Muller dan untuk sedimen layang mengunakan metode sesaat. Hasil dari perhitungan motode sesaat pada sedimen melayang mengasilkan nilai rata – rata angkutan sedimen pada 9 titik tinjauan yaitu 1.22 ton/hari. Untuk angkutan sedimen dasar yang mengunakan metode Meyer-Peter-Muller nilai rata – rata angkutan sedimen pada 9 titik tinjauan sebesar 0.11 ton/hari dan Hasil nilai rata - rata laju sedimentasi pada 9 titik tinjauan sebesar 0.67 ton/hari

Abstract

This study aims to apply Water Resources Urban Design (WSUD) technology to improve water quantity and quality in the Brantas River Watershed (DAS), especially in Oro-Oro Dowo Village, Malang City. This village was chosen because several drainage channels have decreased efficiency in accommodating water runoff during the rainy season. The application of WSUD technology is expected to reduce the high surface runoff due to the decrease in water absorption areas, so this can be an alternative to conserving the availability of water resources in terms of quantity and quality. The modeling scenarios are arranged into two types. In the first scenario, the model is made without the application of WSUD, while in the second scenario, WSUD technologies are applied. There are permeable pavement, bioretention, constructed wetlands, and green roofs. The methodology used for the application of the WSUD concept is through the SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) program. The application of WSUD technology in the case study in Oro-Oro Dowo Village is planned along the sidewalks on Jalan Rinjani, Jalan Jakarta/Jalan Simpang Ijen, Jalan Besar Ijen, and Jalan Panggung, as well as green open spaces/city forests located in the administrative area of the village. The results of this study are in the form of a comparison of the total surface water runoff before and after the implementation of WSUD for each technology. As a result, green roof technology has the potential to reduce surface runoff higher than other technologies. However, the obstacles in the application of green roofs are the cost and roof leaks. Thus, the application of a combination of permeable pavement, bioretention, and constructed wetlands can be another option. The results of the application of the WSUD combination reached 96.88%.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro adalah pembangkit listrik skala kecil yang menggunakan tenaga air di bawah kapasitas 1 MW yang dapat berasal dari jaringan irigasi, sungai, dan air terjun, dengan cara memanfaatkan tinggi terjunnya dan jumlah debit air. Kabupaten Malang mempunyai potensi besar bagi pengembangan PLTMH. Hingga saat ini saluran irigasi atau sumber air yang berpotensi sebagai sumber energi baru sangat sedikit yang memanfaatkan. Ketersediaan air dan tinggi jatuh pada saluran irigasi dan pembuangan di daerah studi merupakan faktor utama potensi pembangunan PLTMH. Pembangunan PLTMH di desa Gondanglegi dapat digunakan sebagai penerangan jalan yang saat ini masih kurang atau dapat digunakan sebagai tempat pembelajaran tentang PLTMH bagi warga sekitar dan SMK Mutu ataupun Pondok Pesantren Entrepreneur Muhammadiyah (PPEM). Dengan adanya potensi sumber daya serupa yang ada maka dapat juga dilakukan identifikasi dan inventarisasi hingga perencanaan pembangunan PLTMH di aliran irigasi sebelah PPEM. Berdasarkan observasi dan pengukuran awal, debit air sesaat di lokasi Gondanglegi sebesar 3,5 m3/dtk dan akan digunakan pada tiap turbin untuk desain debit pembangkit sebesar 1,75 m3/dtk, potensi tinggi jatuh hidrolik total sebesar2,00 m. Sehingga, potensi daya yang dapat dipasang sebesar 49,44 KWh.Kata kunci: Tinggi Jatuh, Debit, PLTMH, Pembangkit

Abstract

Kalisongo Village is located in Malang Regency with a topography consisting of 60% undulating plains and 40% hilly undulating plains, with increasingly steep slopes to the west. The main focus of this community service activity is to improve the quality of settlements by enhancing waste management systems by providing trash bins and cleaning school facilities to support the comfort of kindergarten students. In Kalisongo Village, the condition of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan 1 Kalisongo kindergarten school building is quite concerning due to its location in an alley and the impact of the pandemic on the quality of school facilities. The residential area in Kalisongo Village already has a waste transportation system to the Supit Urang landfill, with waste being collected by designated personnel from each household. Residents place their waste in front of their houses without trash bins, often leading to scattered waste, affecting the cleanliness and aesthetics of the environment. This community service was carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving activities to improve and enhance learning facilities for kindergarten students and increase awareness of household waste management through socialization and the placement of trash bins in each household. This aimed to boost residents' enthusiasm for managing waste and maintaining a clean environment. The activity was conducted from September to December 2022 and successfully improved the cleanliness and comfort for Dharma Wanita Persatuan 1 Kalisongo kindergarten students and the residents of Kalisongo Village. This is evidenced by the enthusiasm of the 38 kindergarten students welcoming a cleaner school building and the active participation of residents in waste management introduction and the distribution of 30 trash bins to village residents.

Abstract

Maintaining the environment is everyone's obligation; it is a gift from God and must be maintained so that our families are free from disease. Maintaining the environment can be started by using clean water as a daily source. The service is located at Sumber Ngesong, and according to information, the water quality has been monitored for about 5 years. Because water from this source is always used by residents of Punten Village and its surroundings, it is very important to continue monitoring to ensure that the water quality remains good. Therefore, to monitor the water quality in question, this service accompanies parties who have related disciplines. To test the water quality physically and biologically, water samples were taken. The results of laboratory tests showed that the water did not contain potentially dangerous parameters, including coli bacteria. Thus, the water is still suitable for consumption and can be used as raw water. However, the service team recommends that it be processed first, such as boiling.

Abstract

This service aims to improve the skills and knowledge of catfish farmers in the "Tutut Jaya" group related to the use of IoT technology in water quality monitoring. Through the training and implementation of IoT technology, it is expected that farmers can monitor and manage water quality more efficiently, thus increasing the productivity and sustainability of catfish farming. The dedication was carried out at the Catfish Farming Group "Tutut Jaya" in Arjowinangun Village, Kedungkandang District, Malang City. The methods used include training, technology implementation, as well as monitoring and mentoring. Training was given to improve fish farmers' understanding of the importance of maintaining stable pH and water temperature. In addition, IoT technology was introduced to monitor water quality in real time, enabling rapid intervention against inappropriate water conditions. Data was obtained through surveys, interviews, and analysis of IoT sensors that measure water pH and temperature. The results of the research show a significant improvement in the quality of pond water, which contributes to the health and growth of catfish. The use of IoT technology also increases operational efficiency, reduces resource consumption, and increases catfish production. Partners show a high level of satisfaction with the application of technology and the training provided. In conclusion, the implementation of IoT technology in water quality monitoring proved to be effective in increasing the success of catfish farming, with the potential to be applied more widely in the fishing industry.
