Abstract

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to see how the reconstruction of students' numeracy literacy skills through electronic media flip book maker. This is because literacy research is quantitative. Literacy is a very interesting topic of discussion today in the world of education. The difficulty of numeracy literacy in everyday life on campus is a challenge in itself. Method: Quantitative research type. Research subjects with categorization of numeracy literacy skills, namely very high, high and moderate based on the acquisition of pre-test and post-test data to classify based on ability, then based on the classification, how numeracy literacy is reconstructed. The analysis technique used is quantitative to classify literacy and qualitative to describe the reconstruction of numeracy literacy. The results of the study found (1) productive reconstruction occurred in very high category numeracy literacy skills, namely starting with improving numeracy literacy skills when disequilibration occurs and then carrying out productive knowledge reconstruction, (2) connective reconstruction occurred in high literacy skills, namely starting with improving numeracy literacy skills when disequilibration occurs in solving problems and then carrying out connective knowledge reconstruction and (3) assimilative reconstruction, namely with reconstruction with moderate category numeracy literacy skills, namely starting with improving numeracy literacy skills when disequilibration occurs in solving problems and then carrying out assimilative knowledge reconstruction. The novelty in this study reveals productive, connective and assimilation reconstruction in students' numeracy literacy skills. Productive, connective and assimilation reconstruction are initial data used in learning to map students' learning readiness, especially in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This Community Service was carried out at Alkhairat High School, Ternate City. Partner problems namely (1) Teachers experience obstacles in the distance learning process (online); (2) the internet network is not optimal so that it becomes an obstacle in evaluating online learning; (3) Less use of learning media applications has not been utilized optimally; and (4) the teacher experiences difficulties when the teacher uses the application because the teacher lacks knowledge of the application used. This PKM aims to provide solutions for partners, namely Alhairat High School Teachers in Ternate City to improve the ability to use applications in learning. The PKM implementation method is carried out by: (1) Providing material about Geogebra, (2) Learning practices with the Geogebra Application in carrying out learning evaluations, (3) evaluating and mentoring. The results of the PKM that was carried out were (1) the Geogebra Media Utilization Workshop was able to improve the Capability of Alhairat High School Teachers in Ternate City in the Alkhairat High School Hall. Participants who took part were 26 teachers. The results of the participant response sheets stated that the results were very good; and (2) the GeoGebra Media Utilization Workshop has been able to improve the Capabilities of Alhairat High School Teachers in Ternate City like this must continue to be carried out in order to improve teachers' abilities to utilize GeoGebra media in learning, especially for mathematics teachers so that learning has variations in utilizing technology-based learning media.

Abstract

Community Service (PKM) was carried out for teachers at SD 01 and 04 Alkhairat, Ternate City. The aim of this PKM is to improve the ability of elementary school teachers to use applications in classroom learning. This PKM is based on the results of discussions held on July 20 2024. The results of the agreement to implement the PKM are: (1) Conducting socialization about applications in learning; (2) Practicing the Online Padlet and Kahoot Game applications in workshops as a simulation; (3) Conduct evaluations in the use of applications in learning. The agreed solution is based on the results of problem identification, namely: (1) In general, students like application-based learning, especially online; (2) Teachers experience difficulties when learning is application-based, both online and offline; (3) lack of knowledge in using learning media; and (4) teachers also have difficulty operating using applications, especially online ones. The solution to this problem needs to be done and is a mutual agreement. A series of services that can be carried out in order to improve the ability to use Online Padlet and Kahoot Games at SD 01 and SD 04 Alhairat, Ternate City. This PKM involves all partners, namely SD 01 and SD 04 Alkhairat, Ternate City. Furthermore, the expected outputs in this PKM are: (1) Conducting socialization about applications in learning; (2) Application Usage Workshop and (3) Third program: FGD to increase knowledge of Online Padlet and Kahoot Game teachers. This activity involved all 26 teachers at SD 01 and SD 04 Alkhairat, Ternate City.  Based on the evaluation results, the response was "very good".

Abstract

Objective: This research examines the process of constructing mathematical concepts, which is very interesting and important. The principles of mathematical constructivism are closely linked to information processing theory in constructing concepts and reconstructing new information. This research aims to determine how mathematical reconstruction occurs in a theoretical and practical study of the fundamental activities of the Orem Sasadu Sahu Tribe on Halmahera Island. Method: This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The data analysis used is the methodical elements, namely description, interpretation, historical continuity, and heuristic. Furthermore, data acquisition is by field study methods, exploration, observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the focus is on fundamental activities (1) determining time, (2) calculation, (3) counting, and (4) measuring. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative data analysis technique. Results: This research obtained the results that (1) The construction of mathematical thinking is the activity of measuring to determine the amount of wood needed which is connected to the concept of geometry. (2) The construction of mathematical thinking is the activity of calculating and measuring to determine the amount of wood needed which is connected to the concept of natural number operations patterned like rows and series in mathematics; (3) The construction of mathematical thinking is the activity of determining how long the material must be cut, how long the renovation must take and the length of time. Novelty: The study of mathematical thinking constructs in Orem Sasadu activities is unique and interesting to examine. These constructs yielded three findings: measuring, calculating, and determining time.
