Abstract

Gunungkidul Regency received an elimination certificate in April 2014, but in 2019 there was one imported case, and it is possible that indigenous transmission may have the potential to occur. Gunungkidul is also a tourist area visited by many domestic tourists who can come from malaria endemic areas. This study aims to map the malaria receptive area to determine early warning measure to maintain malaria elimination status. The research method is quantitative with observational descriptive. The data was obtained from the mapping of the malaria receptive area of the Yogyakarta BBTKLPP in 2021 in the form of larval survey results and the capture of nocturnal adult mosquitoes. The location of the activity is at two points, namely Ngawis Village, Karangmojo District and Pacarejo Village, Semanu District, Gunungkidul Regency. The results showed that Ngawis Village and Pacarejo Village were malaria receptive areas because Anopheles sp. larvae were found with a habitat index of 20.7% and 3.3%, which exceeded the quality standard of the Minister of Health RI No. 50 of 2017 and the capture of the Anopheles mosquito as a potential malaria vector in residential areas. The identified species are An. vagus, An. aconitus, and An. maculatus. Conclusion Ngawis Village has a higher malaria receptivity compared to Pacarejo Village, with more diverse breeding places and more adult mosquitoes caught. Both villages need to make efforts to reduce breeding places and implement an early warning system against malaria.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Sampah yang dihasilkan oleh manusia meningkat tiap harinya, salah satu tempat yang memiliki potensi produksi sampah yang tinggi dalam suatu kota ialah kampus perguruan tinggi atau universitas. Dengan pengguna tetap yang berada di universitas yang memiliki aktivitas rutin, bahkan di hari libur, tentu terdapat berbagai jenis sampah setiap harinya. Mahasiswa merupakan salah satu penghasil sampah terbanyak di kampus terutama sampah anorganik yang berada diruang-ruang kuliah lebih banyak dari pada ruang yang lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap mahasiswa terhadap volume sampah di kampus V Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta.Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian observasional dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Penelitian jenis ini merupakan suatu bentuk studi observasional (non-eksperimental) dimana jenis penelitian ini ialah jenis penelitan yang pengukuran variablel-variabelnya dilakukan hanya satu kali, pada satu saat. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kampus V Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta.Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap mahasiwa dengan volume sampah di kampus V Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta. Hasil pengujian chi-square didapat nilai signifikasi masing-masing variabel adalah sebesar 0,000 dan 0,227.Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap mahasiswa dengan volume sampah di kampus V Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta

Abstract

Pengangguran siswa SMK menempati jumlah tertinggi di Indonesia. Jumlah lulusan SMK yang terus meningkat akan menimbulkan permasalah baru jika tidak diimbangi dengan peningkatan mutu kesiapan kerja. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini untuk meningkatkan sikap, pengetahuan, ketrampilan kerja dan pemahaman budaya kerja industri bagi guru. PkM dilaksanakan di Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel pada bulan Agustus dan September dengan metode perencanan, pelaksanaan, penilaian, dan evaluasi. Hasil yang dicapai pada program PKM ini adalah terciptanya keaktifan peserta dalam berdiskusi.

Abstract

Practical skills are competencies that are needed by SMK graduates to improve the work readiness of SMK students. Learning achievement of practical skills can be improved by selecting the right learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Explicit Instruction learning model for students of the Light Vehicle Engineering Skills Competency Vocational School (TKR) and to find out how much increased practical learning achievement of TKR Vocational School students after the application of the Explicit Instruction model. The research model is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). The subjects of this study were students of SMK Muhammadiyah Bambanglipuro TKR Expertise Competence, amounting to 25 students. The data collection technique used was a test with a practical performance sheet instrument. The practice performance sheet is validated by industry experts. After being applied, the results of the practical exam assessment were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the Explicit Instruction learning model could be applied well by students of SMK Muhammadiyah Bambanglipuro TKR Expertise Competence. After the implementation of the Explicit Instruction learning model, there was an increase in the average score of the competency aspect of practical skill achievement in each research cycle. The aspect of work preparation in the first cycle is 1.44, the second cycle is 2.32 and the third cycle is 2.88. The competency aspect of work knowledge in the first cycle is 1.64, the second cycle is 2.24 and the third cycle 3. While the work skill competency aspect in the first cycle is 1.56, the second cycle is 1.8 and the third cycle is 3.16.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) have increased more than 8 times in the last two decades (2000-2019). DHF caused by the dengue virus which transmitted through the Aedes aegypti mosquito vector. Control is a step to prevent transmission by breaking the vector life cycle, it can be with temephos. However, its use can have side effects for the environment, health and resistance to larvae. Natural larvicides are an alternative and environmentally friendly step. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the larvicide infusion of soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.) on the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae. The type and research design was true experiment with a posttest only control group approach. Extraction of substances in plants used the infusion method. The research samples were 25 larvae instar III Aedes aegypti per container with criteria for being able to move actively. There were 8 treatment groups in the study consisting of negative control (well water), positive control (temephos) and soursop leaf infusion with 6 concentrations (1%; 2%; 3%; 4%; 5%; 6%). Observation time was carried out for 24 hours and three times replicates. Data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney and probit analysis. The results of the analysis showed the value of LC50 was 2.611% and LC90 was 4.309%. While LT50 8.467 hours and LT90 14.263 hours. The conclusion of the study showed that soursop leaf infusion (Annona muricata L.) was effective in killed Aedes aegypti larvae. ABSTRAK Kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) meningkat lebih dari 8 kali dalam dua dekade terakhir (2000-2019). DBD disebakan oleh virus dengue yang ditularkan melalui vektor nyamuk Aedes aegypri. Pengendalian menjadi langkah untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan dengan memutus siklus hidup vektor, dapat dengan temephos. Namun penggunaannya dapat memberikan efek samping baik bagi lingkungan, kesehatan dan resistensi pada larva. Larvasida alami menjadi langkah alternatif dan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas larvasida infusa daun sirsak (Annona muricata L.) terhadap mortalitas larva Aedes aegypti. Jenis dan rancangan penelitian berupa eksperimen murni pendekatan posttest only control group. Pengambilan zat dalam tanaman menggunakan metode infusa. Sampel penelitian adalah larva instar III Aedes aegypti sebanyak 25 ekor per kontainer dengan kriteria dapat bergerak aktif. Terdapat 8 kelompok perlakuan dalam penelitian yang terdiri 2dari kontrol negatif (air sumur), kontrol positif (temephos) dan infusa daun sirsak dengan 6 konsentrasi (1%; 2%; 3%; 4%; 5%; 6%). Waktu pengamatan selama 24 jam sebanyak tiga kali replikasi. Data dianalisis dengan uji Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney dan uji probit. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai dari LC50 adalah 2.611% dan LC90 adalah 4.309%. Sedangkan LT50 8.467 jam dan LT90 14.263 jam. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa infusa daun sirsak (Annona muricata L.) efektif membunuh larva Aedes aegypti.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The government, health workers and the public are very focused on controlling Covid 19, this reduces efforts to control DHF so that during the Covid 19 pandemic, dengue cases increase. This study is aimed to know the community awareness of dengue control during the Covid 19 pandemic. A quantitative method with a survey design was used in this study. The sampling technique was accidental sampling with 215 samples throughout Indonesia. Data collection was carried out online using Google Forms from May to June 2021. The results showed that the relationship between gender and all variables of public awareness of DHF control did not have a significant relationship, and the majority of the community were willing to be involved in all efforts to control DHF. There was a significant relationship between education level and willingness to drain clean water reservoirs at home (p value = 0.005) and disease control priority (p value= 0.002). There was a significant relationship between type of work and priority of disease control (p value=0.001). There was a significant relationship between the perception and the willingness to check larvae at home, each showing a significant relationship (p value = 0.015). The awareness of the community for controlling DHF is good. ABSTRAK Kasus DBD terus meningkat akibat menurunya upaya pengendalian DBD karena pemerintah, tenaga kesehatan dan masyarakat fokus pda pengendalian Covid 19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kepedulian masyarakat terhadap pengendalian DBD pada saat pandemi Covid 19. Metode penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan accidental sampling dengan 215 sampel di Indonesia. Data diambil secara online menggunakan google form pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2021. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara jenis kelamin dengan semua variabel kepedulian masyarakat terhadap pengendalian DBD tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (p value ≥ 0,05), dan mayoritas masyarakat bersedia dilibatkan dalam semua upaya pengendalian DBD. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan kesediaan menguras tempat penampungan air bersih di rumah (p value = 0,005) dan dengan prioritas pengendalian penyakit (p value = 0,002). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis pekerjaan dengan prioritas pengendalian penyakit (p value = 0,001). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi dengan kesediaan memeriksa jentik di rumah masing masing (p value = 0,015). Masyarakat memiliki kepedulian terhadap pengendalian DBD yang baik.

Abstract

COVID-19 has shocked everyone globally, with fears of contracting the disease and the other socio-economic impacts. The noticeable impact at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic was the emergence of mental health disorders in the community, especially for patients, namely the stigma labeled on them. This study aimed to explore the COVID-19 survivors’ experience since they were declared positive and isolated, including the stigma they faced in the early stage of the pandemic, using a phenomenology approach. Eight informants selected through purposive sampling were contacted via in-depth online interviews during September-December 2020. All interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using thematic analysis. During the investigation, this research found two themes: encountering unpleasant impacts when contracting COVID-19 and coping strategies related to the impact. The negative stigma affected the informants’ psychology and economics. Most informants took a religious/belief method to cope with the adversity, such as surrendering to God, and some reported ignoring the stigma. After one year of the pandemic, the stigma has dramatically reduced. However, continuous education in the community is needed to prevent stigmatization of COVID-19 survivors since the pandemic continues and scientific development in fighting this disease is ongoing. This research provides lessons learned to the community and related parties that mental health must also be a concern beyond the rapid response to disease control in a health emergency.

Abstract

Abstrak: Internet adalah teknologi yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menghadirkan solusi bagi masalah di warga masyarakat. Keberadaan sebuah sistem informasi diharapkan menjadi jembatan komunikasi sebagai implementasi dari teknologi internet ini. Namun desain sistem informasi yang memudahkan dan pendampingan penerapan sistem informasi yang baik adalah diperlukan untuk meningkatkan minat warga untuk berpartisipasi menggunakan sistem pelaporan konsultasi keluarga. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan sistem pelaporan layanan konseling keluarga yang memiliki nilai kebergunaan yang di terima. Empat tahapan yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan penggunaan sistem, pengembangan sistem, dan evaluasi penggunaan sistem kepada warga masyarakat dan konselor di Kalurahan Ngalang Kabupaten Gunungkidul yang diwakili oleh 25 orang. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program ini adalah tersedianya sebuah sistem pelaporan konsultasi keluarga yang dialamat di http://lapor.ngalang.id. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kebergunaan (usability) menunjukkan bawah sistem ini berada dalam tingkatan diterima (acceptable).Abstract: The Internet is a technology to provide solutions for problems in society. The existence of an information system is expected to be a communication bridge as the implementation of this internet technology. However, an information system with a straightforward design and an information system with reasonable implementation assistance is needed to increase citizens' interest in using the family consultation reporting system. This community service program aims to develop a family counseling service reporting system that has accepted usefulness values. The four methods used in this program are socialization, training on the use, development, and evaluation of the use of the system to community members and counselors in Kalurahan Ngalang, Gunungkidul Regency, represented by 25 people. The result of the implementation of this program is the availability of a family consultation reporting system addressed at http://lapor.ngalang.id. Based on the results of the usability evaluation shows that this system is at an acceptable level.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is still a health problem in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The most effective vector control for dengue fever is by implementing the eradication of mosquito nests by the entire community. Jumantik cadres are larvae monitoring officers and have the duty and responsibility to mobilize the community in the implementation of eradicating mosquito nests. The implementation of 1 home 1 jumantik (G1R1J) aims to involve the role of family members in larva monitoring and independent PSN. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the performance G1R1J with the existence of larvae during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren, Caturtunggal Village, Depok District, Sleman Regency. The type of research was quantitative with cross-sectional design and Chi-square analysis. Sampling obtained by cluster random sampling technique. The research was conducted in October 2021 in the area of RW 1,2,3 Santren Caturtunggal Depok Sleman.The results of the bivariate test showed that there was no relationship between the performance of jumantik cadres (p-value = 0.589> 0.05) and the implementation of G1R1J (p-value = 0.384> 0.05) and the existence of larvae during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren, Caturtunggal Village, Depok District, Sleman Regency.There is no relationship between the performance of jumantik cadres and implementation of G1R1J with the existence of larvae during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren Caturtunggal Depok Sleman

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit yang menjadi masalah kesehatan nasional. Permasalahan kesehatan bagi tubuh salah satunya yaitu penyakit hipertensi yang dapat disebabkan karena gaya hidup yang tidak sehat. Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PPM) dilakukan di Dusun Druwo pada RT 03 dan ditujukan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang hipertensi untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan secara offline dan penempelan poster. Materi yang diberikan berkaitan dengan penyakit hipertensi seperti definisi, faktor risiko, pencegahan, dan pengendalian. Kegiatan terlaksana dengan lancar, masyarakat memberikan respon positif pada kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dan tingkat pengetahuan tentang hipertensi meningkat lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan.
