Abstract

This study aims to describe the steps of developing a digital picture book in the form of a flipbook that is valid and practical in thematic learning for fifth grade students at 39 Pontianak City Elementary School. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ADDIE model which consists of five development steps, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data sources of this research are design experts, material experts and students validators. The results of the validation of design experts and materials experts obtained an average of 5 "very valid". The results of design and material validation for students by small groups obtained an average of 4.45 "very valid". The results of design and material validation for students by large groups obtained an average of 4.51 "very valid". The results of practicality by small groups obtained an average of 4.54 "very practical". The results of practicality by large groups obtained an average of 4.46 "very practical". Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the digital illustrated story book in the form of a flipbook in thematic learning is very practical to use in the learning process. Keywords: Digital book, Flipbook, Thematic

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of applying PowerPoint on learning outcomes in thematic learning for class III students at Elementary School 11 East Pontianak. The research method used is experimentation in the form of quasi experimental design. The research population was 27 students in class III A and 27 students in class III B. The data collection technique used is a measurement technique and the data collection tool is a test in the form of an essay with 12 questions. Based on data analysis, the average final test for the experimental class = 66.27 and the average for the final test for the control class = 54.8. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained tcount = 7.86621, while dk (27+27-2 =52) with the level (α = 5%) obtained ttable = 0.6840, which means tcount > ttable. So Ha accepted. Based on the results of the effect size (ES) calculation, the ES value = 1.85. Thus it can be concluded that the application of PowerPoint in thematic learning has an influence on the learning outcomes of class III students at State Elementary School 11 East Pontianak by 96%.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the influence of the application of Problem Based Learning model (PBL) on students' learning outcomes in IPAS subjects in class IV of Negeri Elementary School 03 Pontianak Selatan. The method used is an experiment in the form of Quasi-Experimental Design with a type of one group pre test-post test design. The population is the entire class of IV students consisting of 4 classes. This study sample was class IV A students totaling 28 students and class IV B students totaling 28 students. The data collection technique used is a measurement technique and the data collection tool is a multiple choice shaped written test. Based on the data analysis, the average results of the final tests of the experimental class and the average of the final tests of the control class were obtained. Hypothetical test results using t-test (separates variance) were obtained thitung = 11.9647, while for dk (28 + 28 - 2 = 54) with a significant degree α = 5%, ttable = 2.0518 meaning thitung > ttable, then Ha is accepted, this proves that there is an influence of Problem Based Learning model (PBL) on the outcome of secondary learning in IPAS subjects. Based on the results of the calculation of effect size (ES), ES = 0.62 is obtained, which includes the moderate criterion. Thus, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model has a positive influence on students' learning outcomes in IPAS subjects in class IV SD Negeri 03 Pontianak Selatan.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the influence of implementing the problem-based learning model in mathematics learning on the learning outcomes of IV-grade students in SD Negeri 11 Pontianak Timur. The research method used experimentation in the form of quasiexperimental design. The population of this research was all fourth-grade students which consisted of 2 classes. The sample was IV A class, which consisted of 23 students, and the IV B class consisted of 23 students. The technique of data collection applied in this research was the measurement technique, and the tool of data collection is a multiplechoice test with 30 questions. Based on data analysis, the average final test for the experimental class = 58.326 and the average for the final test for the control class = 57.065. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained t_count= 10.0791, while dk (23+23-2=44) with a level of α = 5% obtained t_table= 2.07387 which means t_count>t_table, then Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the effect size (ES) calculation, the ES value = 0.77. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model in mathematics learning has an influence on the learning outcomes of IV-grade students in SD Negeri 11 Pontianak Timur with the percentage of 76.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the role playing model in thematic learning on the learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 34 South Pontianak by conducting experimental research in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group. The research sample consisted of 35 class A students (experimental class) and 34 class C students (control class) at SD Negeri 34 South Pontianak. Data collection techniques use measurement techniques with instruments in the form of essay questions. The results of the pre-test and post-test calculations for the experimental class were 23.08 and 84.32. Meanwhile, the pre-test and post-test results for the control class were 26.77 and 72.65. Based on calculations using the N-Gain formula, it is known that the average learning outcome in the experimental class is 0.7947 and in the control class it is 0.6395, so it is concluded that the class that uses the role playing model is better than the class that does not use the role playing model.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning in science learning in class IV SDN 03 South Pontianak, the planning of the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning, the implementation of the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning and the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning in science learning. Using qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data sources are observation, interviews and documentation. Data collection techniques are observation and interviews. Research results in planning the PBL model must be prepared effectively, otherwise learning in the classroom will not run well resulting in students not being interested and focused. The implementation of science and science learning which consists of preliminary, core and closing activities, critical reasoning activities have been carried out quite well, the obstacles faced by teachers are adjusting teaching media to the material, ineffective implementation time, less conducive classroom conditions, students who are still unstable and busy themselves, not all materials can use PBL, they have to adapt to the material, students find it difficult to express opinions and are not confident.
