Abstract

The independence of a nation is beneficial from all the struggles of the former who have been willing to give up their souls and bodies. One of the figures of Prince Diponegoro who dared to fight in seizing indigenous rights from the Dutch. The figure of heroism needs to be exemplified to the next generation of the nation, especially 4 elementary school students who learn heroism in theme 5 sub-theme 3. To introduce this heroic attitude, teachers must add teaching materials that are packaged in an interesting way, such as using a storybook with a picture of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram by Nunik Utami. The reason for this ponder is to discover the figure of Prince Diponegoro who was appointed in the picture book of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram, to find out what kind of heroic attitude is depicted in the picture book of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram. The researcher conducted this research using the content analysis method and qualitative approach. Data collection procedures or techniques are carried out by direct analysis to find heroic attitudes contained in fragments of sentences in the picture storybook of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram. The comes about of the analysis appear that Prince Diponegoro is described as a prince who is persistent, humble, brave, responsible, and loves his homeland. The heroic attitudes found in the illustrated storybook of  Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram, include being brave, being responsible, loving the homeland, and being willing to sacrifice. The results of the analysis are utilized as social studies teaching materials given to class IV SD regarding heroism.

Abstract

Salah satu kerajaan yang bercorak Islam di Nusantara pada abad ke 16-17 adalah Kesultanan Banten, Kesultanan Banten awalnya berada dibawah kekuasaan Sunda Padjajaran dengan penguasa terakhirnya adalah Prabu Pucuk Umun yang merupakan putera dari Prabu Seda berkedudukan di Banten Girang, (Pupuh XVII, Babad Banten; naskah Lontar Kropak 421 baris 1-5). Setelah berhasil memerdekakan diri dari Kerajaan Sunda Pakuan Padjajaran dan menjadi kerajaan Islam ibu kotanya dipindahkan ke Keraton Surosowan yang terletak di Banten Lama + 10 KM dari Kota Serang, alasan pemindahan karena letaknya kurang strategis dan jauh dari pelabuhan, padahal  Banten memiliki lautan yang sangat luas dengan panjang garis pantai 500 KM, di daerah yang baru ini Sultan Banten yang baru yaitu Maulana Hasanudin (1525-1570) dengan gekar Panembahan Sorosowan setelah menerima tahta kerajaan dari ayahnya Sunan Gunug Djati dari Cirebon. Ibu Kota kerajaan Banten yang baru yaitu berkedudukan di Istana Surosowan dikelilingi tembok yang tinggi dan terdapat sungai-sungai dapat dilayari dengan jung atau perahu.

Abstract

Zaman dahulu kekuasan suatu bangsa diukur dengan luasnya lautan yang dia kuasai, pada abad pertengahan Inggris adalah negara yang memmiliki jajahan yang luas sehingga disebut Britis Raya, Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan menjadi tujuan ekpedisi negara – negara Eropa termasuk Inggris Belanda, dan negara Eropa lainnya, Nusantara yang kaya akan rempah-rempah. Pada abad 17-19 Nusantara merupakan tempat persinggahan para pedagang dari mancanegara seperti Gujarat - India, Persia, China, Arab, dan Eropa untuk berdagang sekaligus mencari rempah-rempah, pelayaran dan perdagangan antar pulau di Nusantara sangat ramai hal ini kejayaan kerajaan yang bercorak Islam, dengan pelabihan yang dimiliki kerajan yang bercorak Islam dapat menarik pajak, bea cukai, dan pabean untuk kapal-kapal yang singgah di pelabuhan mereka tak terkecuali Kesultanan Banten. Kata Kunci: Kemaritiman, Kesultanan Banten, Historis

Abstract

Sosialisasi Program Merdeka Belajar Bagi Guru-Guru Sd Di Kecamatan Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dalam rangka sosialisasi program merdeka belajar bagi guru SD di Kecamatan Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada guru SD tentang program merdeka belajar yang telah disampaikan oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode mensosialisasikan program merdeka belajar. Target audiens dalam kegiatan tersebut adalah 15 orang guru SD di Kecamatan Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten yang berjumlah 30 orang. Angket diberikan kepada guru untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman guru setelah mengikuti sosialisai. Terbatasnya jumlah peserta yang diperbolehkan hadir dikarenakan kondisi pandemic yang mengharuskan adanya social distancing. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini, berdasarkan angket yang disebar diperoleh hasil bahwa para guru SD di Kecamatan Jiput (80%) mampu memahami merdeka belajar dan dapat mulai menerapkannya di sekolahnya masing-masing. Respon dari peserta sangat positif terhadap kegiatan ini dan mereka berharap kegiatan ini dapat dilanjutkan.

Abstract

Gerakan Literasi Sekolah merupakan sebuah upaya yang dilakukan secara menyeluruh untuk menjadikan sekolah sebagai organisasi pembelajar yang warganya literat sepanjang hayat melalui pelibatan publik. Menumbuh kembangkan budi pekerti peserta didik melalui pembudayaan ekosistem literasi sekolah yang diwujudkan dalam gerakan literasi sekolah agar menjadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat. Keterampilan membaca berperan penting dalam kehidupan kita karena pengetahuan diperoleh melalui membaca. Oleh karena itu, keterampilan ini harus dikuasai peserta didik dengan baik sejak dini. Pada abad ke-21 ini, kemampuan berliterasi peserta didik berkaitan erat dengan tuntutan keterampilan membaca yang berujung pada kemampuan memahami informasi secara analitis, kritis, dan reflektif. Akan tetapi, pembelajaran di sekolah saat ini belum mampumewujudkan hal tersebut. Pada tingkat sekolah menengah (usia 15 tahun) pemahaman membaca peserta didik Indonesia (selain matematika dan sains) diuji oleh Organisasi untuk Kerja Sama dan Pembangunan Ekonomi (OECD- Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) dalam Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).

Abstract

Berdasarkan data Jambeck (2015), Indonesia berada di peringkat kedua dunia penghasil sampah plastik ke laut yang mencapai sebesar 187,2 juta ton setelah Cina yang mencapai 262,9 juta ton. Dirjen Pengelolan Sampah, Limbah, dan B3 KLHK Tuti Hendrawati Mintarsih menyebut total jumlah sampah Indonesia di 2019 akan mencapai 68 juta ton, dan sampah plastik diperkirakan akan mencapai 9,52 juta ton atau 14 persen dari total sampah yang ada. Saat ini sampah, terutama sampah plastik merupakan momok yang sangat mengerikan bagi masyrakat. Pengolahan dan pemanfaatan sampah yang kurang efektif menjadi salah satu penyebabnya. Salah satu pengolahan sampah plastik adalah pembuatan Eco Bricks dimana pengolahan ini sangat bermanfaat dengan mengurangi sampah plastik karena botol plastik bekas akan digunakan dengan diisi dalam nya oleh bekas sampah plastik, sehingga tidak ada kata membakar sampah plastic, tetapi sampah plastic tersebut di masukan ke dalam botol plastik sampai penuh dengan di dorong oleh stick sehingga botol tersebut padat. Disusun sedemikian rupa dan menjadi barang yang dapat bermanfaat kembali untuk masyarakat. Kaujon kidul RW.02 dipilih sebagai tempat pengabdian dan sosialisasi Eco Bricks pertimbangan utamanya adalah yang pertama kampus universitas pendidikan Indonesia di Serang beralamat di kaujon Serang, kedua kaujon kidul RW.02 ini digunakan pula oleh mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia sebagai tempat KKN Tematik pembersihan kali Cibanten, alasan yang ketiga adalah tingkat kesadaran masyarakat sekitar kali Cibanten ini sangat rendah dalam hal pengolahan sampah ditambah lagi dengan kurangnya sosialisasi dari pemerintah terkait pentingnya kesadaran akan sampah dan pemanfaatan sampah, merupakan pertimbangan lain bagi adanya perlatihan ini. Hal ini harus digaris bawahi ialah kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan sampah pelastik untuk mengurangi sampah plastik yang sulit untukdiuraikan oleh bumi. Dengan adanya pengabdian ini agar mengedukasi masyarakat di Kaujon Kidul Rw 02 Kota Serang agar dapat memanfaatkan sampah pelastik menjadi barang-barang yang bernilai jual dan tercapainya tujuan dari program pengabdian ini yaitu mengurangi intensitas sampah plastik.

Abstract

This research was carried out based on the problems faced by class VI students at SDN Serang 7 in social studies learning, namely the use of non-variative learning methods, where in delivering learning materials using conventional methods such as lectures and very rarely using media so that students become bored, bored, not active in learning and hinder students in developing critical thinking skills so that an alternative is needed to overcome this problem, namely using the Crossword Puzzle media (Teka Teki Silang). Media Crossword Puzzle (Teka Teki Silang) in this study aims to determine whether the media Crossword Puzzle (Teka Teki Silang) affect the critical thinking skills of grade VI students of SDN Serang 7 in social studies learning. This research is a quantitative study using the Quasi Experiment method with the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was done by non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. Research location at SDN Serang 7. Formulation (1) What is the initial condition of grade VI students at SDN Serang 7 before using Crossword Puzzle media? (2) What are the obstacles experienced in the social studies learning process for grade VI students at SDN Serang 7? (3) How is the effect of using Crossword Puzzle learning media on students' critical thinking skills in social science learning class VI at SDN Serang 7? The results showed from the results of calculations between the posttest experimental class and control class obtained tcount = 4.398 with dk 70. Then obtained ttable = at a significance level of 0.05 of 1.667. that tcount > ttable is 4.398 > 1.667, and the significance value is 0.000 <0.05. This means that Ha is accepted, meaning that the Crossword Puzzle learning media has an effect on the social science critical thinking skills of sixth graders at SDN Serang 7.

Abstract

Social studies learning can develop students in understanding the conditions that occur in society, especially on social problems and knowing past lives in accordance with people's lives. However, expectations in reality show that schools have not been able to understand the demands of community development. Researchers found problems at the time of the study, researchers found problems, namely the lack of social studies learning outcomes for students in class V which showed that many students did not reach the KKM. Which is due to the limited knowledge of teachers about the social studies problem-solving approach, because basically it only uses the lecture method, so that students are less active in the learning process, are less able to realize knowledge in concrete life, are less able to develop their interests, students' critical thinking skills cannot be developed so also the reasoning power of students which ultimately results in low student learning. The study was conducted on 41 students of the fifth grade of the Mangunreja State Elementary School. Two cycles have been carried out with the method used in this research, namely the Class Action Research (CAR) method. The instruments used in the researcher are guide sheets for student tests, sheets for student observations, sheets for teacher observations. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes. This increase is shown in the results of observations of student activities in the first cycle of activities, the average score of the percentage value is 38.4%, while the average score of the presentation value in the second cycle is 67.6%. This can be seen by the acquisition of scores indicating that there is an increase in student learning activities in social studies lessons using the jigsaw type of cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Develop students' ability to understand the conditions that occur in society, especially the diversity of ethnic groups in Indonesia, which is very diverse. Here the researchers found a problem, namely the lack of social studies learning outcomes for students in class IV which showed that many students did not reach the KKM. because basically it only uses the lecture method, so that students are less active, do not realize knowledge in concrete life, are less able to develop their interests, students' critical thinking does not develop as well as thinking power which results in the value of student learning outcomes is not good. This research was carried out to students of class IV B Salira State Elementary School to 23 students. Two cycles have been carried out using classroom action research (CAR). The instruments used in the researchers were the student test sheet guidelines, student observation sheets, and teacher observation sheets. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. This increase is shown in the results of the pre-test and post-test scores on social studies learning about ethnic diversity in Indonesia, in the first cycle activities, the average score was 39.56 with a percentage value of 14.2% and at the post-test there was an average score. the average is 54.4 or the percentage is 25%. Then in cycle 2, students get an average pre-test score of 69.3 with a percentage value of 65.2%, and in cycle 2 the average score is 86.5 and the percentage value is 95.6%. With this, it can be seen that the value obtained by students in increasing creativity has increased, and students are also able to more easily study the material on ethnic diversity in Indonesia well, so that the material obtained in this study can be said to have been successful. This proves that the Role Playing method has a major impact on increasing students' creativity while studying.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes can’t be separated from the low students in critical thinking. During the learning process in the classroom, the teacher still has not implemented learning methods that encourage students to think critically. The teacher explains only through textbooks through lecture and assignment methods. The mind mapping learning method is a method used to remember through the help of pictures or colors with the aim that students are expected to be able to summarize the content of material that has a broad scope and also students can better understand the concept of a lesson. The mind mapping method at a glance will be shaped like tree branches, it makes it easier for the brain to store information such as how the brain works, so that the learning process in class becomes easier and students can think critically. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) research methods. The subjects used in this study were students of class VI B SDN Cibodas 8 Tangerang City with a total of 16 students. To get the data, the researcher used observation, test, and documentation techniques. The data found based on the results of the percentage of students using mind mapping in the first cycle obtained a percentage of 46.25% and in the second cycle the percentage increased to 81.25% with a good category. Meanwhile, for the average value of the student's critical thinking test in the pre-cycle 49.68 in the first cycle increased to 61.87 then improvements were made so that in the second cycle the class average value increased to 79.86 with a good category. So that in this study the researchers concluded that the use of the mind mapping method for social studies learning found an increase in students' critical thinking in class VI.
