Abstract

Budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan salah satu sektor perikanan budidaya yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan terus berkembang di berbagai wilayah pesisir Indonesia. Keberhasilan budidaya udang vaname sangat dipengaruhi oleh kesesuaian kondisi lingkungan perairan, khususnya parameter fisika-kimia yang berperan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan, kelangsungan hidup, dan produktivitas tambak. Desa Batu Berdaun, Kabupaten Lingga, memiliki potensi pengembangan budidaya udang vaname yang cukup besar, namun informasi mengenai tingkat kesesuaian tambak berdasarkan kualitas perairan masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi parameter fisika-kimia perairan serta menentukan tingkat kesesuaian tambak budidaya udang vaname di Desa Batu Berdaun Kabupaten Lingga. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga Juli 2025 dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada tiga stasiun tambak budidaya. Parameter yang diamati meliputi suhu, kecerahan, kedalaman, pH, salinitas, oksigen terlarut (DO), amonia, dan nitrit. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode matching dan scoring berdasarkan kriteria kesesuaian budidaya udang vaname yang mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia Nomor 75 Tahun 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu berkisar 30,1–30,2°C, pH 7,9–8,3, salinitas 15,7–20,5‰, DO 6,1–6,5 mg/L, amonia 0 mg/L, dan nitrit 1,73–2,43 mg/L. Nilai indeks kesesuaian pada Stasiun 1 sebesar 79%, Stasiun 2 sebesar 75%, dan Stasiun 3 sebesar 88%. Stasiun 1 dan Stasiun 2 termasuk kategori cukup sesuai (S2), sedangkan Stasiun 3 termasuk kategori sangat sesuai (S1). Faktor pembatas utama yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya kecerahan perairan dan tingginya konsentrasi nitrit pada beberapa stasiun pengamatan. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar tambak di Desa Batu Berdaun masih layak untuk budidaya udang vaname dengan beberapa upaya pengelolaan kualitas air guna meningkatkan produktivitas dan keberlanjutan usaha budidaya..    Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) farming is one of the most important aquaculture sectors with high economic value and significant growth potential in coastal areas of Indonesia. The success of vannamei shrimp culture is strongly influenced by water quality suitability, particularly physicochemical parameters that support growth, survival, and pond productivity. Batu Berdaun Village in Lingga Regency has considerable potential for vannamei shrimp farming development; however, information regarding pond suitability based on water quality characteristics remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the physicochemical conditions of pond waters and determine the suitability level of vannamei shrimp ponds in Batu Berdaun Village, Lingga Regency. The research was conducted from May to July 2025 using purposive sampling at three shrimp pond stations. Observed parameters included temperature, transparency, depth, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), ammonia, and nitrite. Data were analyzed using matching and scoring methods based on vannamei shrimp culture suitability criteria referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia Number 75 of 2016. The results showed that temperature ranged from 30.1–30.2°C, pH from 7.9–8.3, salinity from 15.7–20.5‰, DO from 6.1–6.5 mg/L, ammonia at 0 mg/L, and nitrite from 1.73–2.43 mg/L. The suitability index values were 79% at Station 1, 75% at Station 2, and 88% at Station 3. Stations 1 and 2 were classified as moderately suitable (S2), while Station 3 was classified as highly suitable (S1). The main limiting factors identified were low water transparency and high nitrite concentrations at several observation stations. These findings indicate that most ponds in Batu Berdaun Village are suitable for vannamei shrimp farming, although improvements in water quality management are required to enhance productivity and support sustainable aquaculture development.
