Abstract

This article discusses commenting on the characteristics of Vietnam and Indonesia art education curricula based on colonial influences, post-socialization economic reforms, and local cultural values. Vietnamese art education was influenced by the French art program, which began in the later decades of the nineteenth century and adopted a fine arts education program. In contrast, the Indonesian art education program started in the early part of the twentieth century and reflects the Dutch style of art education that highly valued applied arts/crafts. This study explores the reciprocal relationship between economic growth and the development of art education in both countries. Through a historical-comparative approach, this study highlights how socio-economic transformations have shaped arts education policies and practices. Moreover, it assesses the contribution of art education in developing the creative economy. It suggests measures for the improvement of art education so that it can promote sustainable cultural and economic development. Based on the results of this study, it is possible to successfully combine such local features as Bale culture with foreign art education curricula to create a solid foundation for financial culture in the region via art education. Abstract

Gamolan is a musical instrument made of bamboo that is played by beating so that it produces tones. The tones are distinguished by notes or scales. Gamolan comes from the word begamol, the word begamol in Lampung language is the same as the word begumul in Malay language which means gathering. The research “Cultural Preservation of Gamolan Musical Instruments through the Creation of Gamolan Sakti Songs” aims to explore how traditional songs can be used as a tool to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Gamolan musical instruments in Lampung. The song created by Hasyim Kan combines traditional elements with modern musical innovations. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This research uses the theory of Anthropology from Koentjaraningrat with the Culture Knowlade approach and is conducted at the University of Lampung and Hasyim Kan as the main source. The main sources are observation of the process of playing Gamolan musical instruments, learning Gamolan Sakti songs performed by Hasyim Kan, literature studies in libraries, books, national journals and other literature. The results showed that the Gamolan Sakti song has had a positive impact on the youth community in Lampung, especially in strengthening their cultural identity as Lampung people and increasing their pride in local cultural heritage. The song has helped the younger generation develop interest and experience in playing Gamolan musical instruments, as well as raising awareness and appreciation of Gamolan culture in Lampung. Despite the challenges in preserving Gamolan music culture, “Gamolan Sakti” has successfully overcome these challenges and made an impact on the youth community in Lampung. This researcher hopes that the Gamolan musical instrument from Lampung will not be lost in the modern era and will continue to be appreciated and loved by future generations.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of Polyurethane (PU) injection grouting in repairing cracked concrete through laboratory tests and field applications. The main objective of the study was to assess the effect of PU with various concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75% on the compressive strength of K-250 concrete and its resistance to water seepage. Laboratory test results showed that 50% PU was the most effective in reducing water seepage with a content of 1.87%, compared to 25% PU (2.54%) and 75% PU (3.20%). However, all PU variations did not increase the compressive strength of concrete, which ranged from 4.33–4.58 MPa, lower than normal K-250 concrete. Field studies on the second floor slab of the Faculty of Engineering, Andi Djemma University showed that the PU spoid injection method was effective in closing cracks <2 mm and was more practical and economical than the high-pressure method. In conclusion, PU grouting is suitable for non-structural concrete repairs that focus on reducing water seepage, but is not recommended for increasing compressive strength.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application and effectiveness of Codenames board game media that modified in learning fine arts at the extracurricular "Krisna Rupa" at SMAN 1 Situbondo. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the subjects of students and supervising teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analysed using Creswell's approach. The results showed that Codenames was effective in introducing Nusantara fine art terms through word replacement into terms such as batik, wayang, and Asmat sculpture. The game process encouraged students to discuss and understand the cultural context behind the terms used, with the teacher as a facilitator. This application increased students' participation, cooperation, and interest in traditional fine arts. Vygotsky's constructivism approach, particularly in the aspects of ZPD, Scaffolding, and social interaction, was seen to support the learning process. Evaluation through Quizizz showed 84% of students scored above 75, reflecting a good understanding of the material. Thus, the Codenames board game is proven as an innovative, contextual, and fun learning media in improving the understanding of Nusantara fine arts in an extracurricular environment.
