Abstract

The problem of fruit waste due to oversupply in agritourism, which causes economic losses and environmental burdens, is the focus of this community service activity. The program aims to enhance partners' capacity through training and technology transfer in producing healthy gummy candy from local fruits. Implementation methods included observation, socialization, practical training, and evaluation involving 20 participants from Agrowisata Cipta Rasa Pak Slamet. The results showed significant improvement in three aspects: conceptual and material understanding (85-90%), procedural skills (95%), and partner enthusiasm and motivation (100%). The implementation of green economy principles was achieved through the conversion of fruit surplus into high-value products with extended shelf life. This program successfully established a strong production foundation while creating a sustainable green value chain. It is concluded that the participatory training approach effectively empowers partners and is ready to be replicated in other locations with similar problems. Program sustainability is ensured through partner commitment and an agreed-upon production monitoring plan.

Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was  disease caused by a virustransmitted the Aedes aegypti. One of the products with local wisdom that prevented DHF was the formulation of dayak powder from sirih hutan leaves. Based on phytochemical, contained terpenoids and flavonoids. Objectives: This study aims to identifythe group of antidengue compounds, determine the formula and evaluate the preparation of topical formulation. Methods: The research design used a pre experimentaldesign with variations and formula development, was conducted at the Biomedical Laboratory FK and PPIIG UPR in August-November 2024. Ethanol extract was obtained using the maceration for 3x24 hours, evaporated using a rotary evaporator and contained 132,5059 g. The extract was analyzed using GC-MS, then formulated with dayak powder and a physical test. Data were analyzed using the One Way Anova statistical test and continued Tukey's post hoc at 95% CI.Results: Sample showed 52 peak areas representing 7 possible identified compounds with a percentage of similarity> 70% (GC-MS). Then the five formulas were physically tested. The results of organoleptic and pH all formulas produced powder aromatic, green, and the criteria of skin pH range (4,5-6,5). The 5th formula showed better results based on the flow time test (5,46 seconds), the settling test produced 3,5-6% (<10%), adhesion test, smoothness, and hedonic. Based on data analysis with One Way Anova, a significant difference was produced in each dayak powder formula (pvalue=0,05).Conclusion: Ethanol extract of sirih hutan leaves has 7 possible compounds with antidengue activity and the 5th formula has better physical test results.

Abstract

Abstract: Pak Slamet's Cipta Rasa Agrotourism in Palangka Raya faces fruit theft issues affecting security. The program aims to enhance security and local community knowledge about renewable energy by implementing a solar panel-based lighting system with motion sensors. Methods included socialization, counseling, and practical workshops with 15 local community members. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-surveys to measure improvements in technical skills (hard skills) and understanding of renewable energy. Results showed a 50% increase in participants' technical skills and an increase in awareness of renewable energy from 30% to 85%. Additionally, the lighting system reduced fruit theft by 70%, enhancing the economic value of agrotourism. This program successfully improved security and community skills, supporting sustainable tourism.

Abstract

Abstract: The soil conditions in Anjir Village, Pulang Pisau Regency, are dominated by peatlands that pose significant challenges for horticultural cultivation, such as low acidity levels (pH) and minimal nutrient content. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance farmer capacity and watermelon productivity through the application of environmentally friendly technologies to 24 members of the "Pelangi Nusantara (MAHIKAT)" Farmer Group in Gohong Village, Kahayan Hilir District, Pulang Pisau Regency. The implementation methods include technical training, mentoring, and the establishment of a 0.8-hectare demonstration plot applying peatland-specific technologies (liming, compost ameliorant, controlled irrigation). Evaluation during the activity was conducted to monitor participant engagement and demonstration plot progress through direct observation, interviews and discussions with partners, and activity documentation. Meanwhile, evaluation at the end of the activity was performed to assess the results and program impact through production analysis, satisfaction and perception surveys with partners, and business sustainability evaluation. The results show a 42% increase in farmer understanding, a 40-55% increase in watermelon productivity (from 18-20 to 28 tons/ha), and a 65% increase in farmer net income. The conclusion of this activity is that the environmentally friendly cultivation technology model has proven effective in improving productivity and farmer economics in peatlands, and a sustainable mentoring program was implemented.
