Abstract

The research was conducted on 17 April – 07 may 2015 in PPS Belawan, provence North Sumatera. The purpose of this study was to find the relationshipbetween the fishing trip , the fleet size , engine size and age of the machine to theamount of fuel that will be taken when operating fishing vessels. The method usedis a survey method . A total of 27 units of fishing boats fishing (hand and line)sampled the same engine brand Mitsubishi . To see the relationship fishing trip ,the fleet size , engine size and age of the machine to the amount of fuel carriedaboard the fishing rod back and forth (hand and line) used multiple linear statistics. Results of this study showed that the relationship of the amount of fuel ( Y ) isbrought to the size of the fleet ( X1 ) , the size of the engine ( X2 ) , and the life ofthe engine ( X3 ) is Y = 68.71 to 6.43 ( X1 ) +1.4 ( X2 ) -1.22 ( X3 ) . theinfluence of the independent variable on the dependent variable was 18.2 %Keywords: Fishing Trip, Machine, boats fishing

Abstract

This research carried on 23 March – 06 April 2015, in the villages Purnama west Dumai District of Dumai city and then Indragiri Hilir Regency. With in comparative the contruction of fishing gear sondong city of Dumai for the fisherman in the Perigi Raja village. The research implemen using survey study and literature review. The results of this study indicate that Sondong on fishing gear, there are some similarities in sondong foot, footprint, and ropes fishing gear of sondong. The differentiation component of both of areas lies in the size of the mesh size net weight, while both have one bag. Based sondong fishing gear research, for foot sondong the best made by putut wood, in addition to strong material, and this wood is more economical. The greatest sondong it was in the Perigi Raja village , it because of the size of the net body bag there are 4 sections and each size of the mesh size of its already very good, because it does not take away all the small fish and other aquatic animals. Buoys and weights it according to the needs of each region because each region has a different sea state. Ropes of good materials from polyethylene because it is more environmentally friendly. The best catches are in rural areas Perigi Raja village because the sondong does not lift all small fish.Keyword : fishing gear of sondong, comparison, Dumai city,Indragiri Hilir Regency

Abstract

This research was conducted in 10-26 February 2016 exactly lack of season catching in the ocean fishing port Sibolga. This research aims to identify the service system unloading fishing boats and to examine the queueing model in the national fishing port Sibolga. The study was conducted using a survey method. The study was conducted by taking the primary and secondary of the data for 10 days. The variables used are the data boats arrival and the customers in the fishing port quay. Based on the result of research and discussion model the queueing system for 10 days following the model of the queue (G/G/c) : (FIFO//∞/∞). Effectiveness of costumer service process can be determined by calculate the average time spent on a customer in the system and queues, as well as calculating the odds waiters are not serving costumer. It can be seen to the average time spent in the queue subscribe about 0,0003 days for each boats and for the average time was used by boats in the system about 0,036 days for each boats and service opportunities are not serving boats by 85,9%. It can be conclude the service at the time in fishing port quay for unloading is effective less. Keywords : Unloading, Queueing model, Effectiveness
