Abstract

Abstract               Sustainable fisheries management for sondong fishing gear needs information support so that sustainable management goals can be realized. Its management includes ecological, social and technological dimensions. The purpose of this study was to determine the sustainability status of the sondong fishery in the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Fisheries Port of Riau Province based on ecological, social and technological dimensions. This research was carried out from February to March 2021 at the Fisheries Port Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Riau Province. This research used a survey method. The data collected related to the sustainability aspects of the sondong fishery includes the ecological, social and technological dimensions using a questionnaire. Analysis for the sustainability of the sondong fishery is based on ecological, social and technological aspects using the Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries (RAPFISH) method. RAPFISH (Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries) was developed by the Fisheries Center, University of British Columbia in 1999; Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries (RAPFISH) is a fisheries sustainability assessment method based on a multidimensional scaling approach. Dimensions in RAPFISH concern aspects of sustainability from ecology, economy, technology, social and ethics. The Multidimensional Sustainability Status of the Sondong Fishery is quite sustainable, with a score of 51.87. The ecological (53.58) and social (58.62) dimensions are quite sustainable, the technological dimension (45.80) is less sustainableKeyword :Survey,Status Of Sustainability, Sondong, Rapfish

Abstract

This study was carried out in March to April 2010 at Dumai fishing base. It aimed to learnthe correlation of fishingtrip frequencies of gillnetter on the amount of logistic needed indifferent monsoon seasons (i.e. north and west monsoon seasons). Field survey methods wereapplied and regression analysis was used for further analysis. The result showed that there were strong correlation between the fishingtrip frequenciesand the logistics needed for both seasons. Moreover, the correlation index of the fishing trips andthe logistics, in term of fuels and ice, was lower in the west monsoon season than the eastmonsoon season. In contrast, the correlation index was bigger in term of the freshwater for thetrips for both monsoon seasons. The linier regression lines for each analysis were Y = 153.34 X –23.044 for Fuels; Y = 255.9 X + 37.785 for Ice; Y = 168.05 X + 6.5913 for freshwater during thewest monsoon, while Y = 159.95 X – 29.826 for fuels; Y = 314.59 X + 61.927 for Ice; and Y=154.47 X – 14381 for freshwater during the east monsoon.Key word: fishing trip frequency, fishing logistic

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to know the operational problems of the fishingport, as well as is to find the solution for increasing efficiency of the fishing portin Dumai. This research was conducted by survey methods at fishing port inDumai on May to September 2009. Data analysis was used technique analysis, facility utilization analysis and SWOT analysis. The survey showed that the utilization of pear, water deep, fish markethall, ice factory, fresh water tank, fuel supply were 97.8%, 63.3%, 53.2%, 135%,92,4% and 114,9% respectively. Utilization of the fishing port facilities wasincreased around 23, 3% to100, 7% if it’s compared to 2004. However, fishmarket and cold storage was not utilized (0%), because of operational basic of thefishing port was not completed and no institutions policy from regulations as afish market center. Therefore, it requires a policy to force fishing port in Dumai asa fish market center.

Abstract

The need for fishing supplies is important for fishermen because it is very decisive in the success offishing operations. What are the factors that affect the amount of fishing supplies needed by fishingvessels and how does it relate to the number of fishing supplies needed by fishermen at the BungusFishing Port. The research was carried out from February to March 2021. The needs for fishing suppliesneeded by fishermen include fuel, water, ice and logistical needs in the form of food and others. Theresearch method used in this research is the survey method. Data analysis in this study used multicollinearity analysis and multiple regression analysis. By looking at the value of the correlationcoefficient, the coefficient of determination, and the significance value (F test). The results showed thatall factors such as the size of the ship, the number of catches, the number of crew members, and the lengthof the fishing trip had an effect and had a positive relationship on the amount of fishing supplies neededby fishing vessels.

Abstract

In this recent days, fishing activities have used various and varied fishing gear, one of them is fishing rods. Fishing gear has an important component, namely fishingline. Fishing line nowadays has many different brands, types and diameters to suit theneeds and desires of its users. However, the quality of fishing line is one of thedetermining factors for choosing a good fishing line. In determining the quality of fishingline breaking strength and elongation value can be used as benchmarks. This studyconducted trials on Shino Pro fishing line with diameters of 0.40mm and 0.35mm andTencara fishing line with 0.30mm diameter. Tests to measure the value of breakingstrength and elongation are carried out using a strength tester, the fishing line that used tobe tested is cut in to small size and clamped to the upper chuck and lower chuck whichhave been calibrated before to the initial position. The obtained value then used to input toT test until the results of breaking strength and elongation came out, the results shows thatthe 0.40mm Shino Pro fishing line has the best elongation value. Meanwhile, the resultsof the T test on the breaking strength value shows that Shino Pro 0.40mm fishing line hasbetter value than 0.35mm Shino Pro fishing line and the last is 0.30mm Tencara fishingline.

Abstract

The research was conducted in March 2013 in PT. ASSA Sibolga, NorthSumatra Province. The method used in this study is a survey of 15 purse seinevessels were chosen by purposive sampling. This study aims to determine thelevel of efficiency of the charging provisions. The result of this research can beinformation for who needthis file. The results showed that the efficiency of the charging provisions obtainedsix independent variables that affect the efficiency of the charging time is timewasted supplies, ice cubes, fresh water, the size of the vessel, the fishing trip andfuel. Based on the multiple linear regression analysis obtained values of r = 0.678and R2 = 67.8% (independent variable that diversity contributes to the diversity inthe values of supplies charging efficiency of 67.8%).Keywords: private port, purse seine, efficiency charging time supplies
