Abstract

Interprofessional Education (IPE) merupakan konsep pendidikan terintegrasi yang terdiri dari pendidikan interdisiplin dimana professional kesehatan belajar mengenai kolaborasi dalam lintas disiplin ilmu dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan nilai dalam bekerja bersama profesi kesehatan lain. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi dosen dalam IPE di STIKES ‘Aisyiyah Surakarta yang bertujuan sebagai bahan kajian dalam penyusunan kurikulum dan strategi pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan teknik total sampling yaitu sebanyak 42 dosen di STIKES dengan menggunakan instrumen Interdisciplinary Education Perception Scale (IEPS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 88,1 % dosen memiliki persepsi baik terhadap IPE, namun 80 % dosen mengatakan belum terpapar terhadap IPE.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of the global health problems which can leads complications, include kidney failure, blindness, stroke and amputation of body parts. Problems and complications that arise in DM can lead to depression. Depression arises because it is influenced by many psychological factors, both directly and indirectly. Supportive group therapy is therapy that is openly used to express thoughts and emotions. Supportive group therapy conduct patient to exchange of experiences. This experiences are expected to change the behavior of DM patients through imitation or reinforcement provided by the patient's environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of group activity therapy towars DM patients depression. This research is an experimental study without  control group in the Padi Mas group in Surakata. This study uses a questionnaire using the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). The research method uses univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi square test. The results showed that after group therapy there was a change in the depression condition but it was not significant, most of them still had moderate signs and symptoms of depression.

Abstract

Background: Family members may experience physical and psychological side effects, such as poor hygiene, sleep disturbances, appetite loss, anxiety, sadness, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), if they are around critically ill patients who were treated in intensive care units. Ensuring family needs are met during patients' stays in the intensive care unit can help to lessen the negative impacts. Objective: The aim of this study is to determine whether nurse motivation and meeting the needs of their critically sick patients' families are related. Methods: The type of research is quantitative, descriptive correlational to determine the relationship between nurse motivation and meeting the needs of families of critical patients. The population in this study were all ICU nurses at One of Public Hospital in Salatiga, totaling 32 people using total sampling technique. Results: The results of this study indicate that the intensive care nurses in the ICU is in the good category in nurse motivation (53,3%), also family needs fulfillment in good category (50%).  Meeting the needs of the families of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit is correlated with nurse motivation (p value < 0,000). Conclusion: As a support system for the patient's recovery and to mitigate any negative effects on the family, nurses must attend to the needs of the critical patient's family.
