Abstract

The proliferation of technology has significantly impacted learning development. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of learning technologies based on students’ perspectives and to discover the challenges encountered when using technologies. In conducting a qualitative case study, the researcher collected data using an open-ended questionnaire at the Open University of Mataram. The data from six informants were analyzed by using the thematic analysis technique. The analysis procedures were based on Kawulich's (2004), which encompassed narrative, coding, interpretation, confirmation, and presentation. The result showed that the students found technology in their learning was effective primarily in creating attractive, practical, and accessible learning experiences, promoting flexible learning and independent learners, and enriching and deepening understanding. Meanwhile, three main challenges were identified: an unstable network, social media, environmental distraction, and a lack of technological competence among students. This study recommends researching teachers’ perspectives on digital transformation for further studies

Abstract

The adoption of digital management in educational settings, specifically at Beijing Normal University (BNU), reflects the ongoing transformation of academic environments through technology. This study explores the comprehensive impact of digital management practices on school improvement. Specifically, the study aims to investigate the influence of six dimensions of digital management, including school visions, school leadership, pedagogical practices, teaching community practices, school-level knowledge practices, and digital resources, on school improvement at Beijing Normal University. Employing a quantitative research methodology, this study utilizes correlation and regression analyses to assess the impact of digital management practices on school improvement. Data were collected via structured surveys from a sample of 351 teachers at BNU. The findings indicate significant positive correlations and effects across all digital management dimensions on school improvement, with school-level knowledge practices and pedagogical practices showing higher substantial influence. This study contributes to the understanding of digital management’s pivotal role in enhancing educational quality and administrative efficiency in higher education settings. It offers a validated framework for other institutions aiming to leverage technology for comprehensive school improvement

Abstract

The character of mutual cooperation is one of the items provided in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project Program (P5). This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in shaping the character of student mutual cooperation at SMPN 2 Labuapi and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in shaping the character of student mutual cooperation at SMPN 2 Labuapi. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach in its implementation by involving Civic Education Teachers, P5 Coordinators, Curriculum Officers, and Student Affairs. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed by the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion after which its validity was tested through source triangulation techniques, triangulation techniques, and time triangulation. The results show that the implementation of P5 in shaping the character of mutual cooperation at SMPN 2 Labuapi is regulated by designing a P5 program with the theme of Voice of Democracy, Building My Soul, and Sustainable Lifestyle. In the democracy theme, several elements are applied to form the character of mutual cooperation, namely, creativity, criticism, collaboration, caring, shering. However, for this year only one theme is carried out, namely the Voice of Democracy. Its implementation is supported by the involvement of family, the surrounding environment, and cooperation between students. Abstract

This reseach aims to apply the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperativelearning model in an effort to increase the learning motivation of eighth gradestudents of Aswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School in the subject of PPKn.The method used is Classroom Action Research, with data collection techniquesincluding observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research stagesinclude initial observation, planning, implementation of actions, observation duringthe action, and reflection. The subjects of this study were eighth grade students ofAswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School. The results of the study in Cycle I,the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learningmodel reached 48%, while the increase in student learning motivation reached56%. Furthermore, in Cycle II, the implementation of the Teams GamesTournament (TGT) cooperative learning model increased to 76%, and studentlearning motivation reached 76%. Then in Cycle III, the Teams Games Tournament(TGT) cooperative learning model succeeded in reaching 96%, and studentlearning motivation increased to 97%. Thus, it can be concluded that thecooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type canincrease the learning motivation of class VIII students of Aswaja Syamsul FalahIslamic Middle School in the PPKn subject.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Faktor-faktor penyebab pernikahan usia anak di Desa Setanggor Kecamatan Sukamulia Kabupaten Lombok Timur; (2) Dampak pernikahan usia anak di Desa Setanggor Kecamatan Sukamulia Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor penyebab pernikahan usia anak di Desa Setanggor Kecamatan Sukamulia Kabupaten Lombok Timur adalah: (1) faktor individu, yaitu anak menikah di usia anak dikarenakan atas kemauannya sendiri tanpa ada paksaan dari siapapun. (2) faktor pendidikan, yaitu rendahnya tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan orang tua menyebabkan mereka cenderung menikahkan anaknya di usia anak. (3) faktor sosial budaya, yaitu lingkungan dan adat istiadat. Dampak pernikahan usia anak di Desa Setanggor Kecamatan Sukamulia Kabupaten Lombok Timur memiliki dua dampak, yaitu dampak positif dan negatif. Dampak positif terdiri dari tiga dampak yakni: (1) menghindari zina, (2) mendewasakan diri, (3) belajar bertanggung jawab. Sedangkan dampak negatif meliputi: (1) dampak ekonomi, yaitu anak yang menikah di usia anak mengalami kesulitan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari dikarenakan belum mapan secara finansial. (2) dampak kesehatan, yaitu anak yang menikah di usia anak mengalami gangguan kesehatan selama mengandung, hingga melahirkan sebelum waktunya yang menyebabkan anak terlahir prematur dan mengalami stunting.

Abstract

Teka Ra Ne’e merupakan salah satu tradisi yang ada di Kabupaten Bima dimana tradisi Teka Ra Ne’e ini merupakan tradisi yang sudah lama ada dan menjadi hal wajib khususnya Desa sondosia untuk terus menjaga satu warisan yang sangat berbudi luhur ini, Teka Ra Ne’e punya hal yang lebih penting selain membawa beras dan uang tadi hanya simbol sederhana dari teka ra ne’e ini. Tujuan diadakanya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan dan nilai-nilai peduli sosial yang terkandung dalan tardisi teka ra ne’e dalam perkawinan suku Mbojo di desa Sondosia kecamatan bolo kabupaten bima. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tradisi Teka ra ne’e memiliki 3 tahapan acara yaitu acara persiapan, pelaksanaan dan yang terakhir acara penutup. Selain itu dalam tradisi teka ra ne’e memiliki beberapa nilai yang terkandung didalamnya. Nilai tersebut antara lain: nilai kekeluargaan, nilai peduli sosial, nilai silaturahmi, nilai domokrasi, nilai kerja sama, nilai solidaritas.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a detailed description of the implementation of deep learning and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the learning process at SMPN 15 Mataram. This research is based on the demands of 21st-century education, which emphasize critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through direct observation of classroom activities and interviews with subject teachers. The findings reveal that deep learning has been implemented through various learning strategies, including classroom discussions, group collaboration, interactive questioning, and project-based learning assignments that encourage students to think independently and develop problem-solving skills. However, the use of AI in the learning process remains limited. This is due to the school policy that restricts students from using personal mobile devices during lessons, resulting in AI mainly being utilized by teachers, particularly for preparing teaching materials, searching for references, and planning instructional activities.Several challenges also hinder the optimization of AI integration, including limited technological facilities, uneven internet access, insufficient digital literacy skills among teachers and students, and the lack of training related to AI-based learning tools. Therefore, it can be concluded that deep learning is already being practiced effectively in SMPN 15 Mataram, supporting the development of students’ competencies. However, the integration of AI still requires improvement through enhanced technological support and the provision of digital literacy training for both teachers and students.

Abstract

This research aims to deeply analyze the role of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the application of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) as key pillars driving progress at SMPN 15 Mataram City. The school faces challenges in improving the quality of education to be relevant to 21st-century needs. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used to understand this phenomenon holistically and contextually. Data collection involved in-depth interviews with the principal and the curriculum vice principal, Ms. G. Ayu S. Astuti, observation of teaching and learning activities and quality assurance meetings, as well as analysis of documents related to the Merdeka Curriculum and the SPMI cycle. The findings indicate that the integration of the Merdeka Curriculum and SPMI has created a significant positive synergy. The Merdeka Curriculum provides flexibility and encourages student-centered learning innovation, while SPMI ensures that these innovations are planned, measurable, andsustainable through the planning, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement (PPEM) cycle. The Merdeka Curriculum's implementation has successfully enhanced student competencies in Pancasila student profile reinforcement projects (P5) and enriched formative assessment. Meanwhile, the SPMI cycle, particularly in the evaluation and control stages, plays a crucial role in identifying areas for Merdeka Curriculum improvement and formulating effective follow-up actions. The conclusion of this study confirms that the Merdeka Curriculum and SPMI are not just programs, but are two fundamental pillars supporting a culture of quality and driving educational transformation at SMPN 15 Mataram City. Furthermore, SMPN 15 Mataram City faces a challenge in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum Based on Deep Learning, specifically that a few teachers have not yet been able to fully transition from the previous curriculum. However, the percentage of these teachers is very small, only about 3–4 individuals, equivalent to 5% of the majority of teachers, 90%, who are adaptable and capable of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum optimally. Such a minor challenge does not prevent SMPN 15 Mataram City from maintaining its status as a superior, favorite, quality, and competitive school.

Abstract

The implementation of Guidance and Counseling (GC) services in schools plays a crucial role in assisting students in dealing with developmental, academic, social, and emotional challenges, especially in the digital era where behavioral changes among adolescents are becoming increasingly complex. This condition requires a well-planned, structured, and needs-based management system for GC services. Based on this urgency, this study aims to describe the implementation of the management system of Guidance and Counseling services at SMPN 15 Mataram, including program planning, forms of coordination among related parties, and the obstacles encountered during its implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the GC program is planned based on the Student Needs Assessment Questionnaire (AKPD), enabling the services to remain flexible and relevant to students’ needs. The implementation includes individual counseling, classroom guidance, case assistance, and student development activities. Coordination among the GC teacher, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and parents runs effectively through open and continuous communication. The challenges encountered mainly relate to the diversity of student characteristics and the influence of social media on adolescent behavior. This study contributes as an evaluation reference and provides insights for improving GC management to be more adaptive and responsive to the dynamics of students’ development.

Abstract

This observational study aims to describe the implementation of Character Education Strengthening (PPK) at SMP Negeri 15 Mataram through intracurricular, cocurricular, and extracurricular activities. Observations were conducted through interviews with school officials and observations of routine programs and character building. The results indicate that the school has implemented the PPK program systematically, referring to the Pancasila Student Profile. Various activities such as Friday Imtak (Friday Prayer), literacy, Scouting, and 24 extracurricular activities serve as the primary means of instilling character values. Challenges faced include differences in student character and minimal family support. The school addresses these through active communication with parents and cross-agency collaboration. This study concludes that PPK implementation is effective, but requires greater support from families.
