Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi kader Nasyiatul Aisyiyah melalui pelatihan kreasi buket bunga dan snack sebagai peluang usaha. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh potensi kewirausahaan yang besar di kalangan generasi muda usia produktif, namun seringkali terhambat oleh minimnya akses terhadap pelatihan praktis dan informasi pasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan yang berfokus pada keterampilan praktis. Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi sesi orientasi, teori dan praktik pembuatan buket bunga dan snack secara detail, serta materi kewirausahaan yang membahas strategi pemasaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta, terlihat dari partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi dan praktik langsung. Pelatihan ini berhasil membekali peserta dengan keterampilan baru dan wawasan mengenai potensi usaha buket bunga dan snack, yang diharapkan dapat menjadi bekal nyata untuk merintis usaha mandiri. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterampilan, penumbuhan jiwa kewirausahaan, dan pada akhirnya, peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi di lingkungan kader Nasyiatul Aisyiyah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyse the gaps in teaching writing skills for English teachers in Central Kalimantan. This research belonged to explore four main analyses: 1) Target need, 2) Present situations, 3) Learner factor, and 4) Mean. The subjects involved were the high school teachers who teach English in the Eastern, Western and Middle region of Central Kalimantan. Data needed in this mixed-method research was collected through observation, interview, and questionnaire. The result showed that English teachers in Central Kalimantan need to strengthen understanding about various teaching models and methods in helping to improve students' writing skills. In addition, they also need to optimally manage their teaching process. Since there were found that several teachers were reluctant to change their teaching style, they need further guidance and training to update their teaching approach. Last but not least, the teachers need to be continuously trained to adapt towards the development of technology nowadays.

Abstract

Graphic organizers (GOs) and gender were predicted as influential variables for the success of EFL instruction. The study attempted to elaborate the effect of gender and digital graphic organizers toward reading and writing at higher education. The 50 subjects were L2 learners at Islamic state institute consisting of male (n=24) and female (n=26). Tests were administered to gather data in different period of times. The experiment group was treated using digital GOs, the control class was taught using non- GOs. The two techniques were given to the participants both males and females in writing and reading class. A two-way Manova was employed to run with data. The analysis demonstrated The F value of Wilks’ Lambda for gender was , F(1, 49) = 6.765, p = 0.003; Wilks' Λ = 0. 769, eta= 0.231; digital graphic organizer was F (1, 49) = 5.474, p = 0.007; Wilks' Λ = 0. 804, eta= 0.196). This indicated that both gender and graphic organizer separately contributed to reading and writing. Since the eta squared was 0.23 (for gender) and 0.196 (for digital graphic organizers), it indicated that the effect size for gender was larger than  digital graphic organizers. Then, the p value of Wilks’ Lambda for the interaction effect between gender and digital graphic organizers toward reading and writing was p = 0.144).  This demonstrated no interaction effect between gender and digital GOs simultaneously on reading and writing at F (1,49) = 2.024, p = 0.144; Wilks' Λ = 0.917, eta= 0.083. However, partially, gender gave effect on reading and writing score and so did graphic organizers. Here, females had better achievement on reading and writing; and teaching using digital graphic organizer can improve both reading and writing.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCommunity service in increasing the professionalism teachers of MIN 4 Palangkaraya in writing CAR through the Harzing Publish or Perish application. The aim was improving the professional competence of teachers in integrating teaching with assisted development by using the Harzing Publish or Perish Application to write bibliography. Thus, the results of the implementation of CAR can produce learning innovations that will be in the form of reports and converted into CAR articles so that they are ready to be published in scientific journals. The end result of this activity is that teachers can understand the classroom action research methodology. This event will be held for 1 day on Thursday June 23 2022 by scheduling 2 sessions. In the first session with training materials with PTK by resource person Dr. Eko Supraptono, M.Pd. Continue with session II with material on the Harzing Publish or Perish application by resource person Dr. Adirasa Hadi Prasetyo, M.Pd.I. This is in line with the very good response and supports this activity, as evidenced by the average percentage of the questionnaire results of 78.85 %. So, in the evaluation of this activity, it is hoped that it can be held again and carry out activities for more than 1 day. In this activity 2 articles were produced and ready to be published in related journals. Keywords: competency improvement, teacher professionalism, and written works. ABSTRAKPengabdian masyarakat ini berjudul peningkatan profesionalisme Guru MIN 4 Palangkaraya dalam menulis PTK melalui aplikasi Harzing Publish or Perish. Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam mengintegrasikan pengajaran dengan pengembangan yang dibantu dengan menggunakan Aplikasi Harzing Publish or Perish untuk menuliskan daftar Pustaka. Sehingga, hasil pelaksanaan PTK dapat menghasilkan inovasi pembelajaran akan di tulis berupa laporan dan diubah menjadi artikel PTK sehingga siap di publikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru dapat memahami metodologi penelitian tindakan kelas. kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari yaitu pada Hari Kamis tanggal 23 Juni 2022 dengan menjadwalkan 2 sesi. Pada sesi pertama dengan materi pelatihan dengan PTK oleh narasumber Dr. Eko Supraptono, M.Pd. Di lanjutkan dengan sesi II dengan materi aplikasi Harzing Publish or Perish oleh narasumber Dr. Adirasa Hadi Prasetyo, M.Pd.I. Hal ini sejalan dengan respon sangat baik dan mendukung kegiatan ini, dibuktikan dengan rata-rata presentase hasil kuesioner sebesar 78.85 %. Sehingga, dalam evaluasi pada kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat tetap terselenggara kembali dan melaksanakan kegiatan lebih dari 1 hari. Pada kegiatan ini di hasilkan 2 artikel dan siap di publikasikan pada jurnal terkait.Kata kunci: peningkatan kompetensi, profesionalisme guru, dan karya tulis.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pemberdayaan guru dan fasilitator dalam pembelajaran pada Sanggar Belajar Permai Penang Malaysia dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berdeferensiasi yang berfihak pada anak, sekaligus sebagai usaha untuk menyesuaikan proses pembelajaran di kelas dalam memenuhi kebutuhan belajar individu setiap siswa, penyesuaian ini menyangkut minat, profil belajar, dan kesiapan siswa agar tercapai peningkatan hasil belajar. Solusi yang dilakukan adalah memperkuat guru dan/atau fasilitator dalam pembelajaran berdeferensiasi dengan pendekatan pendidikan berfihak pada anak, melalui beberapa tahapan. Tahap 1: Pemetaan dan pendataan kondisi awal pada mitra. Tahap 2, Sosialisasi melalui diskusi dengan mitra terkait persiapan pelaksanaan, waktu pelaksanaan, anggota yang dilibatkan serta topik pengabdian di Mitra. Tahap 3: Pelatihan dan pemberdayaan dalam pembelajaran berdeferensiasi dan pendekatan pendidikan yang berfihak pada anak. Tahap 4: Pendampingan dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdeferensiasi dan pendekatan pendidikan berfihak pada anak. Tahap 5: monitoring dan evaluasi semua kegiatan yang ada di mitra. Tahap 6: Penyusunan laporan, dan Tahap ke 7: Tindak lanjut pelaksanaan program. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa telah ada perkembangan pemahaman (82%) terhadap implementasi pembelajaran berdeferensiasi, dan berfihak pada anak, namun masih belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan konsep dalam kurikulum merdeka. Tindak lanjut Pelaksanaan pembelajaran di Sanggar Belajar Permai Penang dilakukan oleh Mahasiswa sekaligus sebagai fasilitator dari berbagai Perguruan Tinggi Mitra, pelaksanaan dikoordinasikan oleh pengelola Sanggar dibantu oleh kepala sekolah dan pengajar tetap, sehingga mahasiswa/fasilitator hanya mengajar selama satu semester dan selanjutnya akan digantikan oleh mahasiswa semester berikutnya.

Abstract

Given the implementation of online learning for elementary school-level children during the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers are required to: This community service activity aims to train and assist teachers in making interactive videos as presentation media for delivering teaching materials equipped with audio-visual content. The media used in the form of the Canva program, which is accessed by participants online (digital-based). To determine the achievement of this activity, data collection was carried out through two forms of instruments in the form of teacher peer assessment sheets and training participant satisfaction. The existence of peer assessment is intended to determine the enthusiasm of teachers in participating in training activities and their potential in developing digital-based teaching materials assessed from the perspective of peers. In addition, training participants' satisfaction instruments were needed to evaluate the overall implementation of activities, both from technical preparation and self-competence of the implementing team (pedagogic, professional, personality and social). The results of data processing showed that all teachers were very enthusiastic in participating in this training activity according to the assessment of their peers, and as many as 79% of participants were very satisfied with the training that had been provided. Each indicator that reflects the 4 forms of competence of the implementing team including pedagogic, professional, personality and social competencies is considered successful in achieving the objectives of this training, namely so that teachers can use presentation media equipped with audio-visual content to deliver subject matter to their students.

Abstract

Penyusunan kurikulum dengan dengan mengkorelasikan antara CPL dan CPMK serta rambu-rambu Kurikulum Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT) dapat menjadikan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Metodologi penelitian merupakan mata kuliah wajib ditempuh mahasiswa pada seluruh jenjang pendidikan. Sedemikian penting peran metodologi penelitian utamanya dalam langkah penentuan instrument. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan secara luring di ruangan Fakultas Hukum Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya selama 3x pertemuan dengan intensitas 2,5 jam. Menggunakan metode klasikal berupa ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Narasumber berasal dari 2 instansi yang berada di Kalimantan Tengah dengan kualifikasi Magister dan pernah mengampu mata kuliah metodologi penelitian pendidikan. Berdasarkan observasi, monitoring dan evaluasi pada ketercapaian kegiatan ini, melalui kegiatan pengabdian telah membantu memperbaiki mutu penulisan skripsi dengan materi langkah penentuan instrument bagi mahasiswa yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah metodologi penelitian pendidikan.

Abstract

Background: Mathematics is a subject that almost all students consider to be difficult, boring, and unpleasant. Teachers are essential in packaging learning and using engaging media to make learning fun and memorable. Aim:  This research analyzes the need for interactive multimedia and student learning outcomes. Method: This research uses a qualitative approach, with a qualitative descriptive method, for data collection techniques carried out using teacher and student interview instrument sheets, direct observation, and distributing interactive multimedia needs questionnaires. Results and Dıscussion: The results of the need for interactive multimedia (indicator 1 of the causes of low mathematics learning outcomes) show that 56% (14 out of 25 students) think mathematics is too complicated. For (Indicator 2 methods that teachers often use), the results showed that 64% (16 of 25 students) answered that the teacher explained the lesson and gave practice questions. For (Indicator 3, the impression of mathematics learning), 48% (12 of 25 students) thought that mathematics is a tough lesson, 24% (6 out of 25 students) said it was boring, 20% (5 out of 25 students) said it was challenging but fun and 8% (2 out of 25 students) said learning mathematics made them curious. In (indicator 4, Frequently used learning resources) there were 56% (14 out of 25 students) stated that worksheets were the primary learning source, and 44% (11 out of 25 students) answered textbooks. Conclusion: This research concludes that students need new learning resources such as interactive multimedia in speed and discharge subjects, indicating that 100% of students support and need this media in learning.

Abstract

In this study we focus to analyze the teacher and student perception about the development of the local wisdom module, especially to increase learning outcome. The research method is descriptive and qualitative by used surveys to collect data. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 2 elementary school teacher and to 20 student 5th grade students, SDN 3 Langkai in Palangkaraya city, Central Kalimantan. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this research showed that teachers have never developed their own teaching materials based on local potential in Central Kalimantan, while students are of the opinion that the use of teaching materials based on local potential will make learning activities more interesting. This research concluded that the development of local wisdom module especially about batang garing very important thing to do based on teacher and student perception and important to continue in the next research to develop the module.
