Abstract

Background: This research is based on researchers' observations of class V students at State Elementary School 5 Palangka. The phenomena found were not being able to differentiate the technical names between the numerator and the denominator, not being able to equate the denominators in the arithmetic operations of addition and subtraction, the inability to remember to cross-multiply the numerator and denominator in multiplying fractions and forgetting the concept of division in fractions and when Solving word problems students have difficulty understanding the questions because they cannot change the questions into fraction form. Aim: The aim of this research is to find out the causes of difficulties experienced by class V students at State Elementary School 5 Palangka in understanding the concept of fractions and what difficulties experienced by class V students at State Elementary School 5 Palangka in solving fraction problems. Method: This research is a qualitative descriptive study, The method used to carry out research uses descriptive methods. Results and Dıscussion: Based on the results of trials carried out by researchers on class V students at State Elementary School 5 Palangka, it can be seen that there were several class V students who got scores below the average of the Minimum Completeness Criteria scores. These students are students who have difficulty understanding and solving fraction material problems. The difficulties experienced by students in class V State Elementary School 5 Palangka are difficulty in simplifying fractions, not being able to equate unequal denominators and same denominators in the arithmetic operations of adding and subtracting fractions, and when solving word problems students have difficulty understanding the questions because they don't You can change the question into fraction form. Conclusion: Based on the results and discussion of the research, it can be concluded that the difficulties of students in understanding the concept and solving fraction problems in class V were found to be 3 difficulties, namely difficulty in simplifying fractions, not being able to equate unequal and same denominators in the arithmetic operations of adding and subtracting fractions, and When solving word problems, students have difficulty understanding the questions because they cannot change the questions into fraction form.

Abstract

The results of the 2022 PISA (Paris-Pelaksanaan Sains Indonesia/PISA) show that Indonesian students' scientific literacy remains low, including in heat. This study aims to analyze the scientific literacy skills of seventh-grade students at Junior High School 10 Sampit regarding scientific knowledge and attitudes. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a sample of 55 students. Data were obtained through a scientific literacy test and a scientific attitudes questionnaire, then analyzed using descriptive percentages. The results show that scientific literacy achievement in the knowledge aspect was 41.21% (very poor category) and in the scientific attitudes aspect was 69.92% (sufficient category). The highest level of knowledge was in content (43.33%) and the lowest in epistemic (36.36%), while the highest level of scientific attitudes was in understanding environmental issues (72.00%) and the lowest level in interest in science and technology (69.23%). The main influencing factors were interest in learning science, limited practical work, and lack of experience working on scientific literacy-based problems. These findings indicate the need to improve practice-based learning strategies and practice problems.

Abstract

Pendidikan seluruh potensi yang dimiliki manusia berkembang sehingga dapat menjadi manusia seutuhnya yaitu dengan mampu mengembangkan hati, pikiran dan perasaan. Pada tingkat sekolah dasar, Pembelajaran IPS perlu diberikan kepada semua peserta didik sejak jenjang Sekolah Dasar untuk membekali dengan kemampuan berfikir serta secara logis agar dapat membentuk pribadi siswa yang kreatif, kritis, inovatif dan mampu bekerja sama. Pembelajaran Talking Stick sangat cocok diterapkan bagi siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA/SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Talking stick pada mata Pelajaran IPS untuk meningkat hasil belajar siswa kelas V di SDN Binuang 10 Kabupaten Tapin. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan Subjek penelitian seluruh siswa kelas V berjumlah 15 orang di SDN Binuang 10 Kabupaten Tapin. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mendapat perolehan nilai 53,34% dengan kategori Cukup sedangkan pada siklus II mendapat 83,34% dengan kategori Baik. Jika dilihat pada siklus II siswa banyak mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini bermakna pada siklus ini proses peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sudah mencapai ketuntasan dengan kategori Baik. Baik secara individual maupun kelompok. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas V di SDN Binuang 10 Kabupaten Tapin dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Talking Stick adalah Tuntas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas teknik diskusi kelompok dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di kelas VI SD. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pada siklus pertama, siswa diperkenalkan pada teknik diskusi kelompok, yang menghasilkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai pemahaman dari 65 menjadi 75. Di siklus kedua, penambahan elemen permainan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, sehingga rata-rata nilai naik menjadi 85. Pada siklus ketiga, integrasi teknologi dalam diskusi kelompok menghasilkan rata-rata nilai 90. Selain peningkatan nilai akademis, penelitian ini juga mencatat perkembangan keterampilan sosial dan komunikasi siswa. Melalui observasi dan wawancara, ditemukan bahwa siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri dan aktif berpartisipasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknik diskusi kelompok efektif tidak hanya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, tetapi juga dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang kolaboratif dan menyenangkan, mendukung perkembangan holistik siswa dalam lingkungan pendidikan.

Abstract

English is the basis for the development of learning that must be improved. For participants, English Language Training is one of the efforts that can be made to improve English proficiency which is useful for supporting the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. This training was carried out for 40 hours (20 days x 2 hours) through several methods such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations/demonstrations, hands-on practice, and working on questions. The results of this community service activity received a positive response from the agency, especially because this program was in accordance with their needs. This could be seen from the motivation of the trainees to take part in the training process quite enthusiastically, indicating a desire to improve their ability to master English and understand the importance of English. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan serta menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran interaktif MARUNTING (Materi Struktur Tumbuhan dan Fungsinya) berbantuan Smart Apps Creator pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Mendawai. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Tahap analisis mencakup analisis kebutuhan, karakteristik peserta didik, dan media pembelajaran, yang menunjukkan perlunya media pembelajaran berbasis visual dan interaktif untuk meningkatkan motivasi serta pemahaman siswa. Tahap desain dilakukan melalui penyusunan flowchart dan storyboard, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengembangan produk dan validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa sebagai dasar perbaikan produk. Tahap implementasi dilakukan melalui uji coba terbatas dan uji coba luas kepada siswa kelas IV, sedangkan tahap evaluasi bertujuan untuk menilai hasil uji coba serta respon peserta didik terhadap media yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif MARUNTING layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dan mampu mendukung proses pembelajaran IPA secara lebih menarik, efektif, dan interaktif.

Abstract

The digital literacy is likely playing a crucial role on the reading interest in this digital age. This study aimed to determine the influence of digital literacy on the reading interest of UIN Suska Riau students. The sample of this study comprised of 82 students of UIN Suska Riau and the data were collected using questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Path Analysis 3.0 and SPSS 21. The results showed that digital literacy had a significant influence on the reading interest of UIN Suska Riau students. This showed that the path coefficient value of the original sample estimate (beta) was positive at 0.471, and the direction of the relationship between both variables was in the quite strong category. The effect of digital literacy on the reading interest was also significant in the 2-way test (t table = 1.97) with a t-statistic value of 8.105, which was greater than the t table, and a p-value lower than alpha 5% (0.000 < 0.05). Overall, the results of this analysis proofed that the digital literacy positively related to the rading interest and it significantly influenced the reading interest.

Abstract

 In harmony with an environment rich in local wisdom, the environment also needs to be utilized as a source and medium for learning, because the learning process involves seeing, observing, and experiencing, so that students can understand things that exist in real life. The changing educational paradigm demands the use of teaching materials that are contextual, meaningful, and relevant to students' lives. This study aims to describe the implementation of the local teaching material "Lauk Murik" in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Kuluk Talawang. The use of this teaching material was developed as an effort to integrate the local cultural context into learning, thereby increasing student engagement and strengthening conceptual understanding. The subject of this reserach was 31 students with 16 male and 15 female. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the "Lauk Murik" teaching material can enhance learning activities, facilitating students' understanding of IPAS concepts related to food, natural resources, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, the integration of local cultural values ​​makes learning more relevant and meaningful. This study recommends the further development of local wisdom-based teaching materials in the IPAS subject in elementary schools

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the minimal integration of the richness of local potential of Katingan Regency in national textbooks, so that the learning of science at SDN 4 Kasongan Lama becomes less contextual for fourth grade students. The focus of the research problem is directed at the development and testing of the validity, effectiveness, and efficiency of integrated thematic teaching materials entitled "LESTARI". The research procedure applies the Research and Development method through the ADDIE model which includes the stages of needs analysis, material structure design, prototype development, classroom implementation, and comprehensive evaluation. The validation results from material experts, media, and education practitioners indicate that this product is in the category of very feasible for use. Quantitative findings prove a significant increase in learning achievement, where the average student score jumped from 61.46 to 80.21. Statistical analysis through paired sample t-test produces a t-value of 19.25 which exceeds the t-table of 2.069, supported by the acquisition of an effect size of 3.93 which is classified as very large. The main conclusion confirms that the "LESTARI" teaching material is proven to be valid, effective, and efficient in supporting meaningful environment-based learning. The use of local content such as peat swamp ecosystems and Dayak culture not only optimizes cognitive achievement, but also successfully internalizes environmental care and ecological awareness in students from an early age in a sustainable, systematic, and holistic manner for the future sustainability of the Katingan environment.ABSTRAKLatar belakang penelitian ini berpijak pada minimnya integrasi kekayaan potensi lokal Kabupaten Katingan dalam buku teks nasional, sehingga pembelajaran IPAS di SDN 4 Kasongan Lama menjadi kurang kontekstual bagi siswa kelas IV. Fokus masalah penelitian diarahkan pada pengembangan serta pengujian validitas, efektivitas, dan efisiensi bahan ajar tematik terpadu berjudul "LESTARI". Prosedur penelitian menerapkan metode Research and Development melalui model ADDIE yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan struktur materi, pengembangan prototipe, implementasi kelas, hingga evaluasi menyeluruh. Hasil validasi dari para ahli materi, media, dan praktisi pendidikan menunjukkan bahwa produk ini berada pada kategori sangat layak untuk digunakan. Temuan kuantitatif membuktikan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar yang signifikan, di mana nilai rata-rata siswa melonjak dari 61,46 menjadi 80,21. Analisis statistik melalui uji paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai thitung sebesar 19,25 yang melampaui ttabel senilai 2,069, didukung perolehan effect size sebesar 3,93 yang tergolong sangat besar. Simpulan utama menegaskan bahwa bahan ajar "LESTARI" terbukti valid, efektif, dan efisien dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan yang bermakna. Penggunaan konten lokal seperti ekosistem rawa gambut dan budaya Dayak tidak hanya mengoptimalkan capaian kognitif, tetapi juga berhasil menginternalisasi karakter peduli lingkungan serta kesadaran ekologis siswa sejak usia dini secara berkelanjutan, sistematis, serta holistik bagi keberlangsungan masa depan lingkungan Katingan.
