Abstract

Classroom situations that are less motivated, there is no teaching materials that can guide students' self-learning and learning-centered to lecturers resulted in students having difficulty in understanding the matter and solve the problems. This situation would require settlement solutions, including need to develop learning material that can help improve learning outcomes and student motivation and stimulate students to be more active. Among them learning material in the form of modules and learning model that can involve the activity of students, learning independently and carry out a project and collaborate to improve learning outcomes and produce a product that can be communicated to others. This type of research was research and development. The development model used is the 4-D comprising the steps of defining, design, development and disseminates. Subjects were students of class I A and B Physics Education Major Faculty of Education and Teacher Training Pasir Pengaraian University. Data were collected using the data collection instruments. Based on development and dissemination test, it has been found that the learning material in Basic Physics I using a project-based learning model could address the needs of students in the Physical Education in learning activities.

Abstract

The significant influence of the 21st century brought a change in Physics learning. Students are required to have the skills to think, work, and live in the surrounding environment. To achieve 21st-century skills needed teaching materials that can support the learning process.With the presence of teaching materials, students are more active in building their knowledge and easy to understand the material provided. Teaching materials that can guide students with a productive task to practice is the student worksheet. A student worksheet is a teaching material that contains a set of activities to maximize students understanding in achievement of competence. To improve the competence of students, one of the efforts that teachers to develop quality student worksheet. A student worksheet is considered qualified if has validity criteria. The validity assessment of the student worksheet is carried out by expert reviews. This research aims to determine the validity of the student worksheet using an inquiry-based learning model with a science process skills approach. The research conducted is design research using the Plomp model with the type of development studies, where validity is at the stage of development. The research instrument used a validity questionnaire to be filled by expert reviews, then analyzed using Aiken's V formula. The result of the validity showed that the student worksheet using an inquiry-based learning model with a science process skills approach having valid criteria with a value of 0.88. It means that the student worksheet is decent for use in Physics learning.

Abstract

During this time, practicum activities in the School have not gone well. In fact, practical activities can support the understanding of the theory or material Physics taught to students. In addition, the lab can also generate student motivation and passion, as well as develop the students' process skills by conducting experiments. Experimental activities are very useful for students if this activity has been planned and designed well by teachers. Currently, technological advances can help improve Physical practice in the School. One of them by using video based laboratory (VBL). VBL is a practical activity in the laboratory in the form of video-based educational software. Technical Guidance for Making Video-Based Laboratory Application Tracker for Physics Teacher in Teachers' Consultation in Subject (MGMP) of High School Physics (SMA) in Padang and Padang Panjang City ", This activity was held for 2 months with the activity stage is preparation, implementation and activity evaluation. Based on the planning, the activities have been successfully done well. Implementation of this activity by the way the teacher is guided using the application Tracker on Physics practicum activities. The output of this activity is the Digital Video Labaratory for teaching material with Tracker application for physics practicum activity, especially Regular Straight Motion (GLB), Straight Changed Motion (GLBB), Momentum and Impulse.

Abstract

Sensor elektrokimia merupakan salah satu jenis sensor yang digunakan pada perancangan alat ukur glukosa untuk menentukan kadar glukosa pada darah manusia. Sensor elektrokimia dibuat dengan menggunakan sintesis kimia anorganik sehingga menghasilkan material sensor yang dapat merubah peristiwa kimia menjadi besaran listrik. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis hasil uji respon beberapa jenis sensor modifikasi terhadap glukosa dalam darah dengan metode voltametri. Elektroda yang digunakan adalag Glassy Carbon Electrode (GCE) Data uji respon meliputi limit deteksi, linier range dan sensitivitas. Sensor glukosa memiliki karakter minimun dimana kualitas sensor akan semakin baik jika sensitivitas tinggi, limit deteksi rendah dan linier range yang lebar. Senyawa kimia yang digunakan meliputi Cu, Ni, dan Pt yang telah melalui proses sintesis untuk menjadi material sensor.

Abstract

Colorimeter is a color measuring device that is a tool that can distinguish colors based on the value of the output produced. In this study a colorimeter device was made using the OPT101 sensor, an analog sensor based light detector. OPT101 sensor has characteristics if the intensity of light received is getting brighter, the greater the sensor output value and vice versa. Because of the characteristics of the sensor like that, this sensor can be used as a measuring instrument to determine the concentration of a food coloring agent. This study aims to look at investigating the relationship between the concentration value of a dye solution to the OPT101 sensor response value contained in the colorimeter tool. The dyes used are red (metile red) and blue (brilliant blue) with 10 different variations of concentration, with a range of 0.01% -0.1%. After the measurement experiments were carried out on the sample, the results obtained were almost the same as the theory, namely the relationship between the concentration value was inversely proportional to the value of the sensor output. The inverse relationship means that the more concentrated a dye solution is, the more the light intensity penetrates the substance or dims. So that the OPT101 sensor detects a dimmer light source, the sensor output value gets smaller, because the relationship of the sensor output value is directly proportional to the intensity of the received light. Based on the measurements that have been made, the results of sensor response values are obtained for the red sample with a range of data from 276,698 decreasing to 240,762, while for the blue sample from the range 9,828 it decreases to 8.75. The value for the blue sample is much smaller because the blue sample is much thicker than the red sample.

Abstract

Objective: to produce interactive multimedia modules in the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to increase critical thinking skills that are valid, practical and effective. This type of research is R & D with a 4D models development model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate phases. At the define stage, a preliminary analysis, students, assignments, concepts, and formulation of learning objectives are carried out . The design phase is done by designing interactive multimedia modules in PBL models. The develop phase, validation by experts on interactive multimedia modules, and then carried out limited trials to see the practicality and effectiveness. Practical data is obtained from teacher and student questionnaires, then the effectiveness data is obtained from the achievement of knowledge, attitudes and skills competencies. The result of define phase is obtained information about the need to develop interactive multimedia modules in PBL models to increase critical thinking skills. The results of the design phase obtained the design of interactive multimedia modules referring to the needs analysis define phase. The results of module development meet valid criteria (0.88). Practical results according to teachers (96.4) and students (92.1). Thus it can be concluded that interactive multimedia modules are in a very practical category. Furthermore the effectiveness of the module on attitudinal competence (84.2), knowledge (81) and skills (71.9). The conclusion of this study is that interactive multimedia modules in the PBL model meet valid, practical and effective criteria

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah belum tersedianya instrumen kecepatan tendangan pencak silat yang berbasis teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menciptakan instrument kecepatan tendangan berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan dari penelitian sebelumnya yang menghasilkan desain rancangan instrumen yang telah teruji secara empiris. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dan mengadopsi model Borg and Gall. Hasil uji reliabilitas yang menggunakan teknik test and retest, yaitu 0.671 pada kelompok sampel kecil (sample 14 orang) dan 0.746 pada kelompok sampel besar (sampel 32 orang) diperoleh hasil memiliki kriteria yang "kuat". Pengembangan norma instrumen melibatkan 382 orang sampel dengan kategori atlet dewasa. Kategori terdiri atas Baik Sekali (Putera < 0.31, Puteri < 0.36), Baik (Putera 0.32-0.39, Puteri 0.37-0.43), Sedang (Putra 0.40-0.48, Puteri 0.44-0.50) Kurang (putera 0.49-0.57, Puteri 0.51-0.57) Kurang Sekali (Putera > 0.57, Puteri > 0,57) Hasil analisis Ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi, dan layak dipergunakan sebagai instrumen kecepatan tendangan pencak silat.

Abstract

Pemantauan dan pengiriman data getaran dalam getaran mesin atau bangunan menggunakan sistem telemetri sangat dibutuhkan. Kerusakan sebuah mesin yang sedang beroperasi dapat diketahui dengan melihat pola getaran yang dihasilkan. Untuk mengurangi resiko kerusakan mesin diperlukan sistem deteksi getaran mesin dan proses pengiriman data  yang dapat memberikan informasi secepat mungkin ke oprator. Pembuatan sistem terdiri dari perangkat keras, telemetri wireless, dan perangkat lunak. Perangkat keras merupakan perangkat mekanik untuk mendeteksi getaran. Telemetri wireless digunakan sebagai media transmisi data untuk mengirim data sensor ke mikrokontroler secara wireless. Perangkat lunak merupakan software yang digunakan untuk memproses data getaran menggunakan Megunolink. Hasil pengolahan data  ditampilkan di layar monitor personal komputer dalam bentuk grafik sebagai fungsi waktu.

Abstract

Physics experiments have a very important role. The most important thing that must be considered in performing experimental physics experiment is set. The development of digital experiment set not completely perfect, like a set of simple harmonic motion experiments on the spring. This study aims to determine the performance specifications and design specifications set of experiments manufacture simple harmonic motion sensors based on spring ping and photodioda with LCD display and PC. This research was a laboratory experiment. Set the experiment uses Arduino Uno microcontroller which serves to process the output of the sensor and change the sensor output with the expected output display measurement results of the experimental set of simple harmonic motion in the spring using the LCD and PC. The sensor used is a ping sensor yng function calculates the amplitude and photodiode sensors that function to count the number of oscillations in the spring time (ms). Besides this experimental set period has accuracy with accuracy percentage is 96.16% for a single spring arrangement, 96.40% for the composition of the spring series, and 99.25% for the parallel spring arrangement. While the average percentage error obtained is 3.69% for a single spring arrangement, 3.59% for the arrangement of the spring series, 0.74% for the parallel spring arrangement.Keywords : Arduino Uno microcontroller, photodiode sensor, ping sensor

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago prone to disasters such as floods hydrometeorologi. The impact posed by floods almost every year has increased both from loss of life, property or damage to public facilities. One of the causes of the large number of casualties happened i.e. lack of knowledge or understanding of the disaster. So the effort to reduce the impact of the flood disaster that is through education that is integrated with the material glut. This is in accordance with changes in education standards suggesting that the structure of the curriculum for the education unit was the appropriate education with potential local or excellence an area. One of the potential areas that are owned by the province of West Sumatra is disastrous floods. However, the fact there has been no real outstanding textbooks that have been integrated with the material of the flood. So the need for analysis of the suitability of the material science material with flooding. Before integrating the material into a flood of material need for the science analysis of the suitability of the material of the science on a textbook lesson in IPA with the purpose of the curriculum, for the Government's efforts in revising the curriculum lead to changes of national standards Education so that changes the structure and arrangement of the material in the textbook lessons. Then the results of the analysis of the suitability of the material science with the goal of this curriculum is to be used as an ingredient or material that will be seen the suitability of material science material with flooding.  Type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subject of this research is a textbook lesson in science class VIII semester 1 in books K and E. sampling Technique used was purposive sampling. Instruments for collecting data consists of sheets of material suitability analysis IPA with the goal of curriculum textbook lessons IPA SMP/MTs class VIII semester 1 and sheet material suitability analysis IPA with the material glut. The research results obtained are the suitability of a textbook lesson science SMP/MTs class VIII semester 1 with the goal of curriculum to book K obtained percentage for compliance 79.36% (accordingly) and the book E obtained percentage conformance 88,57% (very appropriate) . Then the level of conformity of the material science class VIII semester 1 with the flood of material on KD 3.1 is inappropriate category with 26.67 KD 3.2 is 66.67% with appropriate categories, KD 3.3 is 20% with a category is not appropriate, KD 3.4  and KD 3.6 are 33,33% with categories is inappropriate, KD 3.5 was 46,67% with quite appropriate  category.
