Abstract

This study focuses on 1) Calculating the efficiency of the absorber in the Chemical making-2 Unit (CM11); 2) Finding out the factors affecting the efficiency of the absorber in Chemical making-2 (CM11). The adsorption study used a batch system. Based on observations that have been made regarding the Absorber Efficiency in the Chemical Making-2 Unit (CM 11) in the ClO2 processing at PT Indah Kiat pulp & paper Tbk. Perawang, it can be concluded that: 1) Absorption is a separation process by contacting a mixture of gas with an absorption liquid which aims to remove one of the gas components. Which here uses chilled water to absorb ClO2, the absorber used is a tray type. 2) The Absorber Efficiency obtained is 99.5%. 3) What affects the performance of the absorber in CM-11 is the placement of the Tray used and the age of the equipment used which affects the concentration of the product obtained. The concentration obtained is 9.5 gpl, this figure is categorized as meeting the standard because the ClO2 standard used by PT. IKPP Tbk. The clairvoyant is in the range of 9.5-10 gpl.

Abstract

Sodium chlorate (NaClO3) is used to produce clorine dioxide (ClO2), which is used in the bleaching process in the pulp and paper industry. Sodium chlorate is produced in the industry by electrolysis process. This electrolysis process produces 2 main products, namely hydrogen and sodium chlorate. hydrogen is used in the process of making hydroclorid acid (HCl) and sodium chlorate is used in the process of making ClO2. In the process of making chlorate there are several things that must be considered, including: pH, oxygen levels in the degasifier, conditions of the hypo tower system, salt and chlorate concentration, and K cell factor. Based on the results of the above analysis, it can be seen that the acid wash cell is able to reduce the K factor of the cell. Do not run the electrolyzer if the cell voltage is above 3.5 volts. This is because at a voltage above 3.5 volts oxygen formation occurs, if oxygen meets hydrogen gas from electrolysis can cause an explosion.

Abstract

Ship accidents often occur due to ships being unseaworthy to sail. The harbor master plays an important role in supervising the seaworthiness of ships and port activities. However, ship accidents still often occur due to the unseaworthiness of ships to sail. This study examines the level of performance of the harbor master at KSOP Class II Kendari. The method used is the Costumer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The questionnaire was given to the sample which was calculated using the Slovin calculation. The results of the questionnaire have gone through validity and reliability tests and show that the results obtained are valid and reliable. The percentage value of CSI obtained reached 84.95%. This figure indicates that customers are very satisfied with the performance of KSOP Class II Kendari. This shows that KSOP Class II Kendari has succeeded in meeting customer expectations and needs well.

Abstract

Introduction to The Problem: The Islamic insurance industry in Indonesia has great potential to grow, especially considering the majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim. However, in reality, the market share of Islamic insurance in Indonesia is still lagging behind compared to other financial institutions and when compared to conventional insurance. Based on data as of December 31, 2022, it shows that conventional insurance premiums have a market share of 50.32%, social and compulsory insurance premiums are 45%, while Islamic insurance premiums only reach 4.76%.Purpose/Objective Study: This study aims to analyze strategies to optimize the development and increase market share of Islamic insurance in the modern era.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to review literature related to marketing strategies, technological innovation, consumer behavior, and regulations in Islamic insurance.Findings: The research findings show that optimization of development can be achieved through product innovation in accordance with modern market needs, the application of digital technology, and increased Islamic financial literacy. In addition, strong regulatory support from the government, both from DSN-MUI and OJK, is essential in creating a conducive environment for the growth of Islamic insurance. The conclusion of this study states that collaborative strategies between Islamic insurance companies and related industries, as well as the utilization of digital technology, can increase the market share and competitiveness of Islamic insurance in the modern era. This optimization can expand product range and increase consumer confidence, as well as strengthen the position of Islamic insurance in the global financial market.Paper Type: Research Article
