Abstract

The background of this research is based on initial observations indicating that the learning outcomes of students in social studies (IPAS) need to be improved. The discovery learning model was chosen because this approach encourages students to actively construct their own knowledge through a series of steps such as stimulating interest, identifying problems, collecting data, processing data, proving, and generalizing. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in social studies at SD Negeri 09 Rantau Utara, Labuhan Batu District, using the discovery learning model. This research employs a classroom action research method (PTK) conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. The research results show a significant increase in the learning outcomes of students after the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. The average learning outcome score increased from 69.91 in cycle I to 85.3 in cycle II. The percentage of learning mastery also showed an increase, reaching the established target. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving the learning outcomes of IPAS students in grade V of SD Negeri 09 Rantau Utara.

Abstract

Educational resource limitations in remote areas pose a crucial challenge to equitable education quality in Indonesia. This research examines the vital role of "Kuliah Kerja Nyata" (KKN) students (community service program) in addressing these issues, particularly at SD 08 Indudur, Koto IX Sungai Lasi District, Solok Regency. Through a participatory approach and in-depth observation, this study reveals how KKN students not only serve as substitute teachers but also as agents of change who inspire students, increase learning motivation, and help develop a more conducive learning environment. These findings underscore the immense potential of the KKN program as an innovative solution to improve education quality in areas in need, while also providing valuable experience for students in developing self-competence and a sense of social awareness. This research recommends the need to strengthen synergy between universities, local governments, and communities in designing and implementing more effective and sustainable KKN programs.

Abstract

Analysis of Process Skills Profile of Students of Haqqul Mubin Integrated High School as a Driving School. Education in Indonesia faces challenges in improving the quality of graduates to compete in the industrial era 5.0. Reform through the Driving School Program aims to develop students' skills, including observation, classification, and communication. Despite the progress, students still have difficulty in applying new techniques. Innovative approaches are needed to ensure quality education and prepare students for global challenges. This research aims to identify and evaluate the skills possessed by students of Haqqul Mubin Integrated High School in the learning process. This research focuses on observation, classification, and prediction skills, as well as the development of these skills after school transformation. The method used was a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research, involving interviews with two informants: SMAT homeroom teacher Haqqul Mubin and students. The results of the study show that, (1) The types of process skills possessed by students at Haqqul Mubin Integrated High School include observation, classification, prediction, and communication skills. (2) The development of process skills at SMAT Haqqul Mubin after transforming into a Driving School, the development of these skills is still limited. Students often still rely on old methods in observing and grouping data. For this reason, a more innovative and interactive learning approach is needed so that students can develop process skills thoroughly and be ready to face various challenges in the future.

Abstract

In the era of Society 5.0, the integration of technology into education has become increasingly prevalent; however, its effectiveness in enhancing student learning processes, abilities, and outcomes remains a subject of debate. This study aims to explore the potential of Virtual Reality (VR) as a technological innovation to enhance motivation, understanding, and learning effectiveness in elementary education, particularly in the context of Society 5.0. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review-based research method. Data were collected and analyzed from various academic sources focusing on the use of VR in elementary education settings. The findings highlighted the significant potential of VR, particularly when integrated with artificial intelligence, to personalize learning, enhance student competencies, and assist teachers in developing intelligent and contextually relevant content. The literature also showed that VR implementation in elementary schools improves students’ motivation, conceptual understanding, and overall learning effectiveness. In conclusion, the application of VR in elementary education demonstrates strong potential as an innovative and adaptive learning tool in line with the goals of Society 5.0. Although challenges such as cost, infrastructure, and teacher readiness persist, the benefits of VR in fostering interactive and student-centered learning make it a valuable area for further research and development.

Abstract

Nagari Indudur di Sumatera Barat memiliki kekayaan budaya yang diwariskan turun-temurun, termasuk kesenian Randai dan Rebana yang sarat nilai historis, sosial, dan religius. Randai merupakan seni pertunjukan khas Minangkabau yang menggabungkan silat, musik tradisional, dan teater rakyat, sementara Rebana sering digunakan dalam upacara adat dan keagamaan. Namun, modernisasi menyebabkan penurunan minat generasi muda, kekurangan tenaga pengajar, dan dominasi budaya populer yang mengancam keberlangsungan kedua kesenian tersebut. Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) menjadi salah satu bentuk upaya pelestarian melalui edukasi, pelatihan, dan dokumentasi budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran mahasiswa KKN dalam menjaga eksistensi Randai dan Rebana di Nagari Indudur serta strategi yang digunakan dalam menghadapi tantangan pelestarian. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa KKN berperan aktif dalam pelatihan seni, pertunjukan budaya, dokumentasi, serta menjalin kolaborasi dengan masyarakat dan pemerintah. Kegiatan ini meningkatkan apresiasi masyarakat terhadap seni tradisional dan memperkuat identitas budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi lintas pihak dalam menjaga kelestarian Randai dan Rebana di tengah arus perubahan sosial

Abstract

Pelatihan pengembangan dan pemasaran produk minyak kemiri di Kecamatan IX Koto Sungai Lasi, Nagari Indudur, dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) sebagai metode utama dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat secara aktif dan kolaboratif. Metode ini memungkinkan keterlibatan langsung masyarakat dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Tujuan pelatihan adalah meningkatkan kapasitas produksi minyak kemiri yang berkualitas serta memperkuat kemampuan pemasaran masyarakat melalui strategi digital dan branding lokal. Kegiatan ini melibatkan mahasiswa, tokoh masyarakat, pelaku UMKM, dan kelompok pemuda sebagai agen perubahan. Masyarakat tidak hanya menjadi objek, tetapi juga subjek yang aktif berkontribusi dalam pengambilan keputusan dan inovasi pengembangan produk. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam teknik pengolahan, pengemasan, dan pemasaran produk minyak kemiri. Selain itu, muncul inisiatif lokal untuk membentuk kelompok usaha bersama yang dikelola secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan PAR efektif dalam menciptakan perubahan sosial-ekonomi di tingkat akar rumput, khususnya dalam mengembangkan potensi lokal berbasis sumber daya alam dan kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Tantangan utama dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa PGSD adalah memastikan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan belajar yang beragam dan dinamis. Metode Case Method merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang telah digunakan dalam perkuliahan di PGSD FIP UNP. Namun penerapannya belum menunujukkan hasil yang memuaskan sesuai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Kondisi ini memerlukan solusi agar metode case method bisa efektif dalam implementasinya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas pembelajaran menggunakan case method dengan menerapkan manajemen pembelajaran abad 21 untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen dengan pendekatana Pretest-Posttest only control Group Design dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa PGSD FIP UNP yang dipilih secara acak. Peryediaan perlakuan terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Kelas A sebagai kelas eksperimen belajar dengan metode case method dengan penerapan manajemen pembelajaran abad 21, sedangkan kelas B sebagai kelas control menggunakan pembelajaran case method saja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penerapan manajemen pembelajaran abad 21 menggunakan case method efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa PGSD dengan presentase peningkatan yaitu 20.81%, sedangkan kelas yang menerapkan metode pembelajaran case method saja presentase peningkatan nilai yaitu 5.55%. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian ini terlihat bahwa metode case method dengan menerapkan manajemen pembelajaran abad 21 lebih efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa PGSD pada mata kuliah inovasi pembelajaran berbasis digital dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode case method saja.

Abstract

The limited use and lack of diversity in learning media are among the factors contributing to the low effectiveness of teaching and learning processes in elementary schools. This study aims to develop a comic-based instructional medium using Comic Page Creator, which has been validated and classified as both valid and practical for classroom use. The research employed a development approach using the ADDIE model, comprising five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through validation questionnaires completed by content, language, and media experts, as well as practicality questionnaires involving teachers and students. The trials were conducted with fourth-grade students at three elementary schools: SDN 12 Pagaruyung, SDN 08 Pagaruyung, and SDN 15 Pagaruyung. The validation results showed that the comic media achieved a content validity score of 78% (valid category), language validity of 90% (highly valid), and media validity of 96% (highly valid). Practicality tests showed scores of 88% from teachers and 91.86% from students, both categorized as highly practical. These findings confirm that the comic-based instructional media developed using Comic Page Creator is valid and practical, with strong potential to enhance the quality of IPAS learning in fourth-grade elementary classrooms.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations in the field, namely the low learning outcomes of students due to a lack of learning activities that involve students because the learning process is still centered on the teacher, so that students passive during the learning process. This research aims to describe how to improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila education learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Class 7V SDN 01 Kubang Putiah Agam Regency. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was carried out in two cycles, with research procedures consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research data obtained is related to the learning outcomes of the Problem Based Learning model. Data collection techniques include tests and non-tests. The subjects of this research were class teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners or teachers, and 20 class IV students at SDN 07 Kubang Putiah Agam Regency. The research results showed that: First, the teaching module for cycle I obtained an average of 85,4% (B), increasing in cycle II to 95,8% (SB). Second, the results of the teacher aspect of learning in cycle I obtained an average of 82,14% (B), increasing in cycle II to 96,42% (SB). Third, the results of the implementation of learning aspects for students in cycle I obtained an average of 78,56% (C), increasing in cycle II to 92,85% (SB). Fourth, the learning outcomes of students in cycle I obtained an average of 73,5 (C), increasing in cycle II to 88 (B). Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila education learning in class IV at SDN 07 Kubang Putiah Agam Regency.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem that often occurs in elementary schools and can have a negative impact on children's psychological and social development. For this reason, Real Work Lecture (KKN) students from Padang State University conducted prevention activities through counseling and education about the dangers of bullying at SD Negeri 08 Indudur, IX Koto Sungai Lasi, Solok Regency. This activity aims to increase students' understanding of the definition and types of bullying, its impact on victims and perpetrators, and how to prevent and respond to bullying cases in the area and around the school. This activity uses an interactive presentation method with a participatory and educational approach. Based on the results of the activity, it shows that this education and counseling contributes to increasing students' awareness and understanding of bullying, thus helping to create a safer, more comfortable and friendly school atmosphere for all students.
