Abstract

The discussion of this article will analyze and describe the role of school committee administrators as a consideration body, a support agency, as a controlling body and as a mediator body, in improving the quality of education during the covid-19 pandemic. The role of the school committee management is very large and has a lot of benefits for increasing student discipline in learning. The method of this article uses a descriptive qualitative approach that seeks to understand the various concepts found in the research process. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research by placing procedures or scientific methods to obtain data with a specific purpose. This study uses observation, documentation, and interviews to obtain conditions for the object to be studied. with this discussion are the types and sources of secondary data that will be used in finding the results of this discussion. The results of this study indicate that the school committee management at MTsN 6 Tanah Datar has a very important role in efforts to improve student discipline during this Covid-19 period. Furthermore, the efforts made by the school committee management in improving discipline during the COVID-19 pandemic can be seen in their involvement in efforts to participate in decision making. Meanwhile, the obstacles they face during this pandemic are the parents' lack of awareness of their children about children's education, especially since learning is currently in the form of online/on-line. Fostering good relations and cooperation between school committee administrators and parents/guardians is a solution taken by school committee administrators in improving student learning discipline.

Abstract

Recruiting new students quantitatively and qualitatively adequate to be able to get advancement and to exist is a routine agenda of a university. Thus, new student recruitment activity should be well done and well planned so that optimum results can be reached. Ideally, new student recruitment system is done by a specific permanent body whose task is to think about the best ways to get new prospective students. This can be realized when many parties are involved to get worthy suggestions. Of course each university has different methods, Therefore, this article is aimed at completing knowledge gap on new student recruitment system and factors influencing their choice of university. Through this research, new student recruitment system at IAIN Batusangkar was found out. The study used cross-sectional design. The population of the research was all the students of IAIN Batusangkar. The sample of the study was selected using cluster sampling technique in which 3.485 students were selected to be the reseach sample.   The instrument used to collect the data of the research was a closed-ended questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed through Descriptive Statistics. The results of the research showed that there was an increase of promotion effectiveness from ineffective level in 2016 (51.01%) to effective level (62.45%) in 2018. The success of the new recruitment system to recruit new students because it was carried out in various ways, ranging from the use of brochures, scholarships, to promoting the accreditation value of the study program and institution. The most dominant factors in influencing student decision in choosing a university were parents and relatively affordable tuition.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the lack of effectiveness in implementing conflict management by educators, student representatives, BK teachers, and homeroom teachers. This study aims to describe how conflict management plans in solving problems, how to implement conflict management in solving problems, and how to evaluate conflict management in solving student problems at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. This study used a qualitative analysis which took place at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Then to test the validity of the data used is the persistence of the observer, and triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of conflict management carried out in solving student problems includes planning which at this stage does not directly involve the principal and only general planning, there is no more specific planning, only short-term and long-term programs as conflict management at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. In the implementation of conflict management which has been going quite well, but there are some things that still need to be considered, such as there are still educators who use violence and do not carry out the steps that have been regulated in conflict management theory in solving student problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini terkait permasalahan yang ditemui dilapangan yaitu kurangnya kemampuan teknologi menjadi penyebab tidak maksimalnya pembelajaran, kreativitas guru membuat materi yang berorientasi pada IT masih rendah, dan banyaknya jenis ketunaan yang dimiliki PDBK, sehingga guru harus menciptakan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan mudah dipahami baik oleh siswa normal maupun berkebutuhan khusus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasipendidikan inklusif berbasis digital di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Padang Panjang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian adalah di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Padang Panjang. Informan penelitian berjumlah 3 orang yaitu kepala sekolah, guru pendamping khusus, dan guru mata pelajaran di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Padang Panjang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi berkelanjutan dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data adalah dengan cara kondensasi data, tampilan data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, 1. bentuk perencanaan yang dilakukan diantaranya Perencanaan pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusif, perencanaan identifikasi, Perencanaan Kurikulum, Perencanaan Sarana dan Prasarana, perencanaan pembiayaan, sekolah ini merencanakan untuk menggunakan google classroom pada pembelajarannya yang dilakukan disekolah. 2. bentuk pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar sudah berbasis digital. Namun demikian, karena keterbatasan fasilitas maka dari itu pendidikan berbasis digital ini baru dilakukan pada dua kelas yang telah dipilih untuk di uji cobakan. 3. bentuk evaluasi yang dilakukan yaitu penilaian tengah semester (PTS) dan penilaian akhir semester (PAS), juga orang tua di ajak untuk menindak lanjuti ke psikolog serta memberikan pengertian pada orang tua bahwasannya kemamapuan setiap anak itu berbeda-beda

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh kepala sekolah untuk mengembangkan budaya literasi di SD Negeri 04 Sarilamak, Kecamatan Harau, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah dan beberapa orang guru. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi wawancara kepada kepala sekolah dan beberapa guru. Keabsahan data diperiksa dengan meningkatkan teknik observasi dan triangulasi. Proses dari pengembangan budaya literasi berlangsung dalam tiga tahap: (1) Menumbuhkan budaya literasi dengan merumuskan tujuan kegiatan, merumuskan program kegiatan, merumuskan strategi kegiatan, menetapkan sistem pengelolaan kegiatan, dan mengelola sarana dan prasarana kegiatan. ( 2 ) Proses melakukan literasi dan kegiatan budaya dengan memberikan contoh, mengajar, menumbuhkan kebiasaan menulis, mengembangkan kebiasaan menulis. ( 3 ) Evaluasi dengan merevisi tulisan oleh kepala sekolah dan kegiatan pengubahan koleksi menjadi buku dan kemudian diterbitkan sebagai bahan referensi penumbuhan budaya literasi di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan oleh pimpinan sekolah dapat merangsang minat dan menggali bakat guru dalam bidang literasi khususnya menulis.

Abstract

Secara teoritis kinerja guru dipengaruhi oleh iklim sekolah dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya (1) kontribusi iklim sekolah (X1) terhadap kinerja guru (Y), (2) kontribusi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah (X2) terhadap kinerja guru (Y), dan (3) kontribusi iklim sekolah (X1) dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah (X2) terhadap kinerja guru (Y). Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post- facto. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Populasi penelitian adalah guru SD Negeri Gugus 1 Kecamatan Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok sebanyak 105 orang yang terbagi dalam strata S1 dan non S1. Sample penelitian dipilih dengan teknik stratified proposional random sampling berjumlah sebanyak 79 orang guru. Intrumen penelitian berupa angket dengan menggunakan skala likert. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 20.0. Berdasarkan pengolahan data diperoleh hasil (1) terdapat kontribusi X1 terhadap Y yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikan 0,000<0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, (2) tidak terdapat kontribusi X2 terhadap Y ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikan 0,501>0,05 sehingga H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak, (3) terdapat kontribusi X1 dan X2 terhadap Y yang ditunjukkan oleh signifikan 0,000<0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil temuan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa iklim sekolah dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah merupakan dua faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kinerja guru. Oleh sebab itu diharapkan kepada pihak-pihak terkait agar memperhatikan kedua faktor tersebut agar kinerja guru dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Strategi kepala sekolah ialah rencana jangka panjang yang bersifat oprasional dan dikembangkan secara detail dalam bentuk taktik dan langkah-langkah teratur. Maka dari itu kepala sekolah membuat program kerja jangka panjang yang terbagi dalam empat poin utama. Dalam usaha pembuatan strategi, kepala sekolah perlu mencakup 4 komponen yang harus diterapkan yaitu: dalam penetapan spesifikasi serta kualitas hasil yang harus dicapai dengan memperhatikan kehendak dan selera masyarakat, membuat pertimbangan dan memilih pendekatan yang efektif dalam mencapai sasaran, menetapkan langkah yang harus ditempuh dalam mencapai sasaran, mempertimbangkan dan menetapkan tolak ukur yang baku untuk mencapai keberhasilan.

Abstract

The purpose of this discussion is to explain the leadership role of the school principal in Improving teacher Work Discipline. The type of research that the writer did was field research which is a qualitative description. Data collection techniques that the authors use are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data used is triangulation. The analysis technique that the writer uses according to Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show the role in increasing the work discipline of educational staff, namely: as an educator the principal gives freedom and is firm to educational staff, as a manager the principal coordinates his subordinates so that they work to improve work discipline. As an Administrator the principal has administrative management activities that are recording, compiling and documenting, as a Supervisor that is carrying out supervision and control to improve work discipline through a familial approach. As a leader the principal guides, fosters, encourages and directs all parties in the school, and is able to accept criticism and suggestions from his subordinates. As an innovator the principal guides, fosters, encourages and directs all parties in the school, and is able to accept criticism and suggestions from his subordinates.

Abstract

This study aims to answer the research focus on (1) Management of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) at Religious Institutions and Islamic Boarding Schools in the office of the Ministry of Religion in Sawalunto City (2) Administrative Services and Human Resources at Diniyah Education Institutions and Islamic Boarding School of the Ministry of Religion of Sawalunto City (3) utilization of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in improving administrative services and human resources at Diniyah Education institutions and Islamic Boarding Schools of the Ministry of Religion of Sawalunto City.This study used a qualitative-descriptive approach and used data collection techniques. Data collection methods were obtained using in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction (data reaction), data presentation (data display), and conclusion drawing and verification. So this study obtained results based on data exposure, and findings and discussion analysis, based on the results of this study it can be described as follows: an education management information system already exists and is implemented, evidenced by the existence of a school website application that existed at the time of the study.

Abstract

Educational institutions will run effectively if they are organized by school principals and teachers who have professional competence in carrying out their duties. Principal leadership plays an important role in determining the professional competence of a teacher. Therefore, this study aims to describe the principal's leadership strategy in increasing the professional competence of teachers at SDN 03 Tanjung Balik, X Koto Diatas District, Solok Regency. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method in the form of a case study. The subjects of this study were the principal and all teachers at SDN 03 Tanjung Balik. The research instruments are interview guides, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are 6 principal leadership strategies in improving the professional competence of teachers at SDN 03 Tanjung Balik, namely 1) Carrying out upgrading activities for teachers continuously, 2) cultivating literacy activities, 3) increasing the use of learning media, 4) improving facilities infrastructure in learning, 5) Conduct supervision activities.
