Abstract

Heavy workload has become a problem of many female teachers in the world. Finding out how workload has impacted teachers’ job effectiveness worth searching. The respondents of the research were were 78 secondary school female teachers in Tanah Datar Regency.  The data of the research were collected through a google-form.  The data were analyzed through Descriptive Statistics. The study results show that female teachers are over-burdened with their tasks at school and at home, face many problems like having negative feeling to themselves, having no leisure time, lacking of social responsibility and participation in school activities and house work, being not optimal in job performance, being exhausted, feeling lack of energy, getting problem in time management,   doing social withdrawal, and having lower social competence after the issuance of the new regulation. Therefore, it is recommended that the new government regulation of teacher workload be quitted in order that better education quality is achieved.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk  mengetahui pengaruh supervisi akademik dan motivasi kerja guru terhadap keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini 203 orang yang merupakan guru SMKN Kota Solok dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi linier berganda melalui SPSS 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) adanya pengaruh yang signifikan supervisi akademik terhadap keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas dengan nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu 16,232 > 1,972 dan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. (2) keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas dipengaruhi oleh motivasi kerja guru dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 lebih kecil dari 0,005 dan nilai t hitung > t tabel yaitu 3,421 > 1,972. (3) adanya pengaruh supervisi akademik dan motivasi kerja guru terhadap keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas secara bersama-sama sebesar 65% dengan taraf signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05 dimana F hitung > F tabel yaitu 185,705 > 3,04. Kesimpulan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas akan meningkat karena adanya supervisi akademik dan motivasi kerja guru, baik secara parsial ataupun simultan

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out what strategies are implemented by the leadership of Al-Mumtaz Islamic High School, Solok City in developing students' talents, achievements and noble morals. This research uses a qualitative field research approach, a case study approach. Research site at Al Muntaz Islamic High School, Solok City. The research informants were the school principal, committee chairman, deputy principal, Head of the Achievement Education and Training Center (PPLP), teachers, students and elements within the Al Muntaz High School School environment, Solok City. The instruments of this research are interviews, observation sheets and documentation studies. The data collection technique used was through in-depth interviews, role observation and documentation studies. The data technique is by triangulation, namely source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of the research show that the strategies used by the Principal of Al Muntaz Islamic High School in developing students' talents, achievements and morals include developing students' potential according to their wishes, while to form morals, they are guided by the morals of the Prophet SAW in everyday life and then doing everything in earnest.

Abstract

This study is about the acceptance of new students (PPDB) at SMPN Tanah Datar by using a zoning system. As for the goals of this study is to find out how it is implemented, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in PPDB by using the zoning system at SMPN Tanah Datar Regency. This study uses qualitative methods with phenomenological types. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is added with notebooks, recording devices, and other documents as supporters. Sources of data were obtained from principals, teachers, parent and student at 7 SMPN Tanah Datar Regency. data collection using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. to check the validity of the data using the triangulation method and then analyzed using the Miles and Hubermen model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that in the implementation of the zoning system policy in the acceptance of new students (PPDB) at SMPN Tanah Datar for 3 years, there were several problems encountered in the field such as zone mapping by the local government which was not yet accurate, the quota set was not in accordance with the needs. schools, regulations that are not yet firm so that there are still schools that violate the zoning provisions in the PPDB, there is still a lack of socialization to the community and the motivation and learning achievement of students / wi has decreased. The conclusion in this study is that the government as a stakeholder in education needs to evaluate especially in education policies in order to assess and measure whether the zoning system in PPDB has been implemented properly or not, what needs to be improved and addressed and can provide inputs. input so that the zoning system policy in this PPDB will be even better next time.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the learning evaluation by English teachers and the supervision of madrasah principals using phenomenological research with a qualitative approach. It was conducted at MTsN in Tanah Datar Regency, namely MTsN 1, MTsN 2, and MTsN 3 Tanah Datar. A total of 10 research informants, including the principal of the madrasa and English teachers, were used. The data collection involves in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Meanwhile, the data technique used was a source and technical triangulation. The results showed that: 1) Evaluation of learning processes and outcomes, in addition to language, was practised by English teachers. The strategies and developments include formative, summative, placement, and diagnostic evaluations. Furthermore, the evaluation of language learning comprises the domain of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. 2) There are several forms of supervision of the madrasah principal on the evaluation of learning, namely supervision of discipline, motivation, training, teacher performance, and work relations.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tipe-tipe kepemimpinan dalam suatu organisasi untuk memberikan bekal informasi kepada calon pemimpin atau pemimpin baru agar dapat menjalankan organisasi dengan efektif. Waluyo (2007:3), mengatakan bahwa pemimpin merupakan unsur yang paling utama dalam organisasi, karena baik buruknya perilaku pemimpin dalam membina bawahannya. Setiap pemimpin memiliki gaya kepemimpinan yang berbeda, dengan adanya teroi tentang gaya kepemimpinan diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi gayake pemimpinan mana yang paling tepat diterapkan di suatu organisasi yang dipimpinnya. Abstract

Kepemimpan menjadi hal utama dalam kehidupan manusia. Studi ini menjelaskan beberapa model kepemimpinan secara umum. Dengan merujuk pada beberapa literatur, studi ini juga mencoba mengeksplorasi kepemimpinan dalam Islam. Beberapa dasar dapat dilihat dalam AlQur’an dan Hadist Nabi. Dengan model studi tinjauan pustaka, studi ini menyimpulkan akan pentingnya kepemimpinan yang adil sebagaimana dasar dalam agama Islam Pemimpin dan Kepemimpinan merupakan dua elemen yang saling berkaitan. Artinya, kepemimpinan (style of the leader) merupakan cerminan dari karakter/perilaku pemimpinnya (leader behavior). Perpaduan atau sintesis antara “leader behavior dengan leader style” merupakan kunci keberhasilan pengelolaan organisasi; atau dalam skala yang lebih luas adalah pengelolaan daerah atau wilayah, dan bahkan Negara. Jika kita mengartikan kata pemimpin dalam bahasa indonesia “pemimpin” sering disebut penghuhlu, pemuka, pelopor, pembina, panutan, pembimbing, pengurus, penggerak, ketua, kepala, peruntun, raja, dan sebagainya. Sedangkan istilah Memimpin digunakan dalam konteks hasil penggunaan peran seseorang berkaitan dengan kemampuannya mempengaruhi orang lain dengan berbagai cara.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize teacher performance at SMPN 36 Sijunjung through the application of a dynamic organizational culture and transformational leadership style. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, document analysis and triangulation to ensure the validity of the data. The research results show that a dynamic organizational culture, which encourages innovation, collaboration and open communication, can increase teacher motivation and involvement in carrying out their duties. Apart from that, the transformational leadership implemented by the school principal, which involves inspiration, collaboration, motivation, knowledge updates and teacher empowerment, has a positive effect on improving teacher performance. Thus, the combination of dynamic organizational culture and transformational leadership has proven effective in optimizing teacher performance at SMPN 36 Sijunjung. This research provides an important contribution to the development of school management strategies in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This article aims to show the impact of basic debate training on their ability to perform argumentative speech. This training was conducted at SMAN 3 Batusangkar with 14 participants. The training used the Asian Parliamentary Debate System because it is the most widely used debate system in high school. After the training was conducted four times, it was found that their abilities improved both in terms of the quality of their public speaking, their intelligence in arguing, and their confidence. It is hoped that after this debate training, students will be able to compete well in the world of debate.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perspektif orang tua/ warga masyarakat Tanjung Bonai Aur dalam memilih sekolah dasar berbasis Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey lapangan dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan orang tua yang menyekolahkan anaknya di sekolah dasar berbasis Islam di Nagari Tanjung Bonai Aur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara. Adapun faktor-faktor yang menentukan preferensi orang tua memilih sekolah dasar berbasis Islam yaitu, kurikulum, sarana dan prasarana, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, lingkungan sekolah, ekstrakurikuler, lokasi sekolah, spelisialisasi sekolah, dan biaya sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa faktor dominan yang menentukan perspektif orang tua atau masyarakat Tanjung Bonai Aur dalam memilih sekolah dasar berbasis Islam adalah faktor produk yang indikatornya berisi kurikulum, biaya, sarana dan prasarana, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, dan kualitas luaran
