Abstract

The main problem in this writing is the Efforts to Improve Student Achievement at Sawalunto 7 Public Middle School. the subject of discussion is how to improve student achievement. And how are the actions taken by teachers and parents towards students in increasing student achievement. The type of research that the writer did was field research which is a qualitative description. Data collection techniques that the authors use are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data used is triangulation. Learning achievement is something that cannot be separated from learning activities, because learning activities are a process, while learning achievement is the output of the learning process. Abstract

The aims of this study were 1) to find out the planning of learning English with an innovative learning model based on a pendekatan saintifikat MTsN 1 Tanah Datar, 2) to find out the implementation of learning language with an innovative learning model based on a pendekatan saintifikat MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. This type of research is case study research with a qualitative approach. The research location is at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. The research informants were 3 English teachers at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. The research instruments were interview guides, observation sheets and documentary evidence. The data collection technique used is through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation studies. The data analysis technique is by means of data triangulation. The results of the study include showing that 1) lesson planning is carried out by the English teacher in coordination with teachers of the same family, homeroom teachers, other subject teachers, representatives of the curriculum sector, representatives of the infrastructure sector and other related parties; 2) In the implementation stage, the English teachers at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar are in accordance with the learning implementation indicators.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the implementation of the Madrasah head's leadership towards increasing teacher professionalism at MIN 2 Sawahlunto City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. The data collection technique used is by examining or exploring several journals, books, and documents (printed or electronic) as well as other data sources that are considered relevant to this article. The findings of this article are based on eight principal leadership principles that can be applied to develop their madrasah. The principles in question consist of constructive, creative, participatory, cooperative, delegative, integrative, rational, pragmatic, exemplary, and adaptable and flexible. Where the madrasa head is responsible for fostering and forming professional teachers in order to build quality madrasas. Therefore, the leadership of the Madrasa head and teacher professionalism are two factors that influence each other.

Abstract

The aims of this research are 1. To describe the organizational behavior management of SD Negeri 14 Talago Gunung Kota Sawahlunto to create human resources. 2) Analyze the obstacles and solutions in this study. The results of the study revealed about the Management of Organizational Behavior at SD Negeri 14 Talago Gunung Sawahlunto City in realizing human resources which was carried out by planning; carried out by conducting an analysis of the activities or work load of intellectual capacity, work experience and example. Recruitment; prioritizing academic & non-academic achievements, having good character, putting aside kinship and prioritizing achievement and professionalism. 1. Development, namely changing behavior so that change occurs, attending workshops, training and training. 2. Supervision is carried out according to a monthly schedule for the entire series of school activities, the condition of students, infrastructure, teachers, programs, facilities. 3. Evaluation; three stages: monthly, midterm and end of semester, as well as the end of the academic year. 4. Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of Leadership Style on Teacher Performance Behavior at SDIT Ishlahul Ummah, Sawahlunto City. The focus is on the six main leadership styles, namely transformational, transactional, autocratic, charismatic, bureaucratic and democratic. This article has provided deep insight into leadership styles; democratic, transformational, bureaucratic and autocratic leadership have a positive impact on the performance of SDIT Ishlahul Ummah teachers in Sawahlunto City. This article uses analysis of primary data and secondary data that has been carried out. The analysis uses a quantitative approach, with the help of survey instruments, based on a questionnaire survey. Secondary research has been carried out through a review of previous literature set out to achieve the research objectives. The results of this article suggest that charismatic, bureaucratic and transactional leadership styles have a negative relationship with performance. Transformational, autocratic, and democratic leadership styles, on the other hand, have a positive relationship with teacher performance at SDIT Ishlahul Ummah, Sawahlunto City.

Abstract

UPTD SD Negeri 11 Guguak VIII Koto merupakan salah satu sekolah yang memiliki program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an. Hal yang menjadi permasalahan di dalam program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran, terlihat dari belum maksimalnya pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam manajemen pembelajaran Tahfidz Al-Qur’an. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengetahui latar rendahnya capaian hafalan dalam pembelajaran Tahfidz Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa, UPTD SD Negeri 11 Guguak VIII Koto merupakan salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an. Perencanaan dilakukan dengan empat tahapan, seleksi, pengorganisasian dengan menentukan tugas dan mekanisme dalam proses pembelajaran, pelaksanaan ditandai dengan adanyan proses belajar mengajar, pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan teknik “subhaqu”,  pengawasan dengan melakukan pemantauan melihat buku setoran santri dan mengabsen santri, faktor pendukung ialah dari lingkungan sekolah. Keberhasilan yang diraih UPTD SD Negeri 11 Guguak VIII Koto dapat dilihat dari hasil prestasi dengan meningkatnya hafalan siswa yang mengikuti program Tahfidz Al-Qur’an

Abstract

Teaching students  to speak English is not an easy task. The teachers shoud consider and think hard about several points to be done: to  make the students motivated to speak English, to keepthem speaking the new language, and to make them have accuracy in speaking the language, and  to correct the students’ mistakes without feeling being  blamed or discouraged. To handle the difficult  tasks previously mentioned, the English teachers should find a solution. Teaching the students through unforgettable, interesting experiences might be one of the solutions that they can choose. Abstract

The research is conducted based on the fact that Senior high school English teachers of Tanah Datar Regency face problems in implementing curiculum 2013.The research is aimed at finding out the problems of the teachers related to the implementation of the Curriculum. Therefore, a qualitative research method was applied. To collect the data of the research, interview technique was used. To analyze the colled data, interactive model of analysis as proposed by Miles and Huberman was used. The results of the research show that there were two types of the problems that the teachers faced in implementing the new Curriculum, those deriving from the teachers themsevels, and those deriving from others, like government, students and facilities. Abstract

Abstract: Despite a considerable body of studies, little attention is given to the advantages of using songs in learning (learner-centred).  The study, therefore, is aimed at eliciting Indonesian EFL learners’ beliefs about the advantages of using songs for their language learning. Researching the research phenomenon through a qualitative study using a case study design, in-depth interview technique was applied to collect the data of the learners’ beliefs from eleven university learners majoring English. This study indicated an interesting finding that it was perceived that the learners believed that there were  some advantages of using songs in learning English: increasing  their EFL learning in the aspects of language skills (listening and speaking), language components (vocabulary mastery and pronunciation), their knowledge, their  confidence and relaxation, and improving their mood and focus.  Thus, it is recommended that songs be used either in teachers’ EFL teaching and in learners’ EFL learning. Abstrak: Meskipun telah banyak penelitian yang dilakukan, namun masih sedikit perhatian yang diberikan tentang manfaat penggunaan lagu dalam pembelajaran (berpusat pada peserta didik). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keyakinan pembelajar Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing di Indonesia tentang manfaat penggunaan lagu dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing mereka. Meneliti fenomena melalui studi kasus, teknik wawancara mendalam diterapkan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang keyakinan sebelas mahasiswa jurusan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ii menunjukkan temuan yang menarik bahwa peserta didik percaya bahwa ada beberapa keuntungan dari pemanfaatan lagu dalam pembelajaran  bahasa Ingris mereka pada aspek keterampilan bahasa (menyimak dan berbicara), komponen bahasa (penguasaan kosa kata dan pengucapan),  pengetahuan  mereka, kepercayaan diri dan relaksasi mereka, serta memperbaiki suasana hati dan fokus mereka. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar lagu digunakan dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris oleh guru maupun dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris oleh peserta didik.
