Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of gamification strategies in improving Arabic language learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at MI Nurul Iman Sekincau. Gamification, which integrates game elements such as points, challenges, and rewards into the learning process, is designed to create a more interactive and engaging classroom environment. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 36 students, and data collection techniques included vocabulary mastery tests, observations, and interviews with both teachers and students. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods to assess the level of student achievement in Arabic learning. The findings revealed that the gamification strategy effectively increased student engagement, improved vocabulary retention, and enhanced motivation to learn. The percentage of students achieving the minimum learning criteria rose from 38% in the pre-cycle phase to 91% by the end of the second cycle. These results indicate that gamification can serve as an innovative solution to improve Arabic learning outcomes, especially in primary education settings. Moreover, the study emphasizes the importance of using student-centered and motivational approaches in language instruction to foster better learning experiences and academic performance. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas strategi gamifikasi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas IV MI Nurul Iman Sekincau. Gamifikasi yang mengintegrasikan elemen permainan seperti poin, tantangan, dan hadiah ke dalam proses pembelajaran dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 36 siswa, dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes penguasaan mufradat, observasi, dan wawancara dengan guru serta siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menilai tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi gamifikasi mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, memperkuat daya ingat terhadap kosakata, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 38% pada tahap pra-siklus menjadi 91% pada akhir siklus kedua. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa gamifikasi merupakan pendekatan inovatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Arab di tingkat sekolah dasar. Selain itu, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dan memotivasi, guna menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan berdampak positif terhadap prestasi akademik.

Abstract

This research delves into the education system and network of Quran memorization Islamic boarding schools (also known as pondok pesantren tahfidz Quran in Bahasa Indonesia) in Kudus, Surakarta, and Bogor. The study was conducted in Pondok Pesantren Yanbu'ul Qur'an in Kudus, Ma’had Tahfizhul Qur’an, Yayasan Sosial dan Pendidikan Islam Isy Karima in Surakarta, and Pesantren Terpadu Darul Qur’an Mulia in Bogor. The research methodology employed was a descriptive, analytical, and historical approach integrated and presented through qualitative processes involving data collection through observation, interviews, and document analysis at the three Quran memorization Islamic boarding schools. The data analysis steps include data reduction, data display, and data verification through triangulation. The research findings indicate the uniqueness or characteristics of each Quran memorization Islamic boarding schools. Pondok Pesantren Yanbu'ul Qur'an has the uniqueness of five concepts: sincerity, obedience, compliance, the importance of quality, patience, and meticulousness. Meanwhile, Ma’had Tahfizhul Qur’an, Yayasan Sosial dan Pendidikan Islam Isy Karima required students to complete the recitation of the entire Quran, 30 chapters, within a duration of two years, utilizing visual, audio, and kinesthetic techniques. Pesantren Terpadu Darul Qur’an Mulia features comprehensive interaction in a halaqoh format encompassing techniques such as recitation, comprehension, memorization, and application that nurture noble character. Regarding the inevitability of the network, the research emphasizes that the Quran memorization Islamic boarding schools serves as a focal point for the community. Although exclusively owned by the kyai (Muslim leader), these Quran memorization Islamic boarding schools remain a possession of the broader community, with a self-reliant management system independent of specific government or non-governmental organizations.

Abstract

This research stems from the lack of use of learning media at Roudlatul Qur'an 3 Middle School Sekampung. This study aims to develop illustrated strip story learning media for learning to write and to determine the feasibility of the media through the opinions of experts and to determine the effectiveness of using the media developed by researchers. The research method of this research is the development method (R&D) with the Hannafin and Peck development model which consists of three phases, namely needs analysis, design, development and implementation. Data collection instruments used in the form of questionnaires, tests and documentation. The results of this research are illustrated story strip media products for learning to write. Analysis of material validity is 94%, and the validity of learning media is 95.83%. Both fall into the category of suitable for use. The effectiveness of the use of media can be seen from the pre-test value of 69.42 and post-test of 88.57 which increased by 19.143. So, it can be concluded that the illustrated story strip media developed is feasible and can be used in learning to write.

Abstract

Bahasa Arab memiliki peran sentral dalam agama Islam, khususnya dalam Al-Quran dan kegiatan keagamaan. Pondok Pesantren Al Mujtama' Al Islami Karang Anyar Lampung Selatan, sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam, menghadapi tantangan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang sering dilakukan secara konvensional dan kurang interaktif. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan minat santri, tim PKM mengembangkan buku Dars bahasa Arab interaktif model Al-Arabiyah Baina Yadaik. Ada 5 orang guru yang dibimbing dalam kegiatan ini dengan 3 kali pertemuan. Buku ini dirancang untuk memenuhi standar kualitas dengan empat komponen utama: keterampilan berbicara, penerapan qawaid bahasa Arab, keterampilan membaca, dan keterampilan menulis. Dengan dukungan Pondok Pesantren Al-Mujtama’ Al-Islami, buku ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab, memberikan kontribusi positif pada keterampilan mengajar guru, dan menjadi sumber belajar mandiri bagi santri di dalam dan di luar kelas.
