Abstract

The palm oil industry plays an important role in meeting the world's vegetable oil needs, but faces sustainability challenges such as deforestation, land degradation, and land conflicts. This study analyzes the implementation of deforestation-free green supply chain practices in Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The results show that companies have started to implement ISPO certification standards, including environmental impact management, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, having a significant impact in supporting the palm oil sustainability industry. However, in the implementation of green supply chains, challenges were found in the data collection of supply chains up to the farm level, due to the lack of trust of farmers and the absence of incentives, so it has not been able to ensure deforestation-free supply chains. The jurisdictional approach works to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration and accelerate the adoption of sustainable palm oil practices and green supply chains. The conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of deforestation-free green supply chains can be achieved through the support of improved policies, governance, accelerated ISPO certification, farmer assistance and encouraging partnerships between companies and smallholders, in support of sustainable palm oil practices as a whole.

Abstract

In an increasingly digital era, companies must adapt quickly to remain competitive in a competitive global market. Digital capability, which is the organization's ability to utilize digital technology in all aspects of its operations, is the main key in achieving competitive advantage. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital capability on supply chain innovation performance through digital innovation in manufacturing companies in Bogor. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey using a questionnaire evaluated by a panel of experts. Data were collected from 140 respondents of manufacturing companies in Bogor and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. The results showed that digital capability has no significant influence on supply chain innovation performance (p-value 0.380 > 0.05). Meanwhile, digital capability has a significant positive influence on digital innovation (p-value 0.033 < 0.05). On the other hand, digital innovation has no significant impact on supply chain innovation performance (p-value 0.484 > 0.05), and digital capability also has no significant effect on supply chain innovation performance through digital innovation based on the mediation flow of direct and indirect (p-value 0.421 > 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that although digital capability can drive digital innovation, it does not necessarily improve supply chain innovation performance directly. Suggestions for future research are to involve more companies from various locations and use mixed quantitative-qualitative research methods to increase validity and in-depth understanding. In addition, there is a need to explore other factors that may affect supply chain innovation performance to strengthen digital capability and digital innovation strategies in manufacturing companies.

Abstract

In increasingly fierce business competition, the role of supplier connections and design quality is becoming increasingly important. The research aims to analyze the influence of supplier connections and design quality on restaurant performance in the city of Bogor. The data source is primary data, namely a survey of business owners/managers and employees in the Bogor restaurant industry. Data collection was carried out by filling out a questionnaire. The analysis method uses Structural Equation Modeling, validity, reliability and goodness of fit tests. The results show that all question items are valid with factor loading greater than 0.5. The results of the reliability test show that all variables have a Cronbach Alpha above 0.7 (reliable). The goodness of fit test results shows model suitability (RMR). Coordination between suppliers and component design adjustments is relatively good. The quality of the supplier's adaptation to the restaurant's requirements indicates the supplier is prepared to address the requirements with specialist tools and equipment. The performance of the restaurant supply chain after having a supplier connection shows that the supplier has a good ability to reduce manufacturing operational costs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Green Supply Chain Management (MRPH) practices on product quality and production costs. As the concern for environmental sustainability increases, MRPH has become an important element in managing an effective and efficient supply chain. This study evaluates how the implementation of MRPH with customers and suppliers affects product cost and quality. This study found that MRPH provides significant benefits in reducing production costs and improving product quality through internal environmental management and green innovation. The results show that MRPH with suppliers contributes to operational flexibility and cost reduction, while MRPH with customers enhances positive product perception and company reputation. In addition to economic benefits, green practices in the supply chain also play an important role in minimizing environmental impacts, potentially increasing the company's competitiveness in an increasingly environmentally conscious market. This study provides insights on the importance of MRPH integration in their business strategy to achieve cost efficiency and long-term operational sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital capabilities on supply chain innovation performance through digital innovation in manufacturing companies in Bogor. In the advancing digital era, an organization's ability to leverage digital technology is crucial for achieving a competitive advantage. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a questionnaire survey. Convenience sampling and snowball sampling methods were employed to gather a sample size of 133 respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships between absorptive capacity, supply chain resilience, and supply chain innovation performance. The results indicate that absorptive capacity positively influences supply chain innovation performance (P-value 0.0245 < 0.05) with a positive estimated value of 0.134. However, absorptive capacity does not significantly affect supply chain resilience (P-value 0.310 > 0.05). Additionally, supply chain resilience does not positively impact supply chain innovation performance, as shown by a P-value of 0.032 < 0.05 but with a negative estimated value of -0.134, indicating a negative effect. The hypothesis that absorptive capacity influences supply chain innovation performance through supply chain resilience is not supported. In conclusion, while absorptive capacity can directly enhance innovation performance, other factors such as risk management and supply source diversification need to be addressed to improve supply chain resilience. This study suggests that strengthening employee training and development will enhance absorptive capacity and recommends exploring additional factors that may facilitate the integration of absorptive capacity and innovation in the supply chain. Further qualitative research is needed to explore other factors that influence these relationships.

Abstract

In the context of globalization, the development and management of operations related to products and services are becoming more complex, stakeholders are demanding and aware of the challenges of sustainability along the supply chain. One of them is the clothing industry which is a global industry that provides basic human needs and is one of the industrial sectors that has an impact on the environment and society. To address the risk and opportunity issues of sustainability from an industry and value chain perspective, apply the concept of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM). This study aims to design an instrument in the form of a minimum standard to measure supplier performance and analyze it. Using a qualitative analysis method resulting from due diligence on suppliers with a total of 77 question points consisting of 23 questions on the environmental dimension, 23 questions on the social dimension related to employment, and 26 questions related to governance. The results show that 3 suppliers are at the High-performance level, 4 companies are in the Medium-performance category, 5 are companies with low performance and 1 company is in the very low category. By categorizing the highest total gain of ESG, namely 100%, and the lowest score of 34.62%. This value indicates the level of compliance with the minimum standards set. Recommendations for Further Research An even number of due diligence is carried out for categories in the fashion industry (clothing, hats, bags, footwear). The aspects and weights of each of these sustainability aspects can be re-analyzed if used for other types of industries outside the fashion industry.
