Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Average School Length, Pre-Employment Card Program, and Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Indonesia. Open unemployment is one of the main indicators of employment problems, which is influenced by various factors, including education level, access to job training, and participation in the labor market. This research uses a quantitative approach with panel data from 32 provinces in Indonesia during the period of 2020 to 2023. The analysis method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach, which is determined through the Chow test and the Hausman test. The results of this study indicate that the average length of schooling and the level of labor force participation have a significant negative effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in 32 provinces of Indonesia. However, this study found that the Pre- Employment Card Program has no effect on Open Unemployment. This research provides new insights into how the government's role in education and program policies can have a new influence on the Open Unemployment Rate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, life expectancy, labor force participation rate, and open poverty rate on poverty rate in five cities in East Java Province, namely Surabaya City, Malang City, Madiun City, Pasuruan City, and Batu City during the period 2013 to 2023. The method used is a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis, which allows a combination of time series and cross-section data to obtain more accurate estimates. The main focus of this study is to identify how much each independent variable contributes to changes in poverty rates in the region. The results of this study are expected to be the basis for consideration in formulating poverty alleviation policies by local governments and to be an academic reference in the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java. By understanding the factors that influence poverty empirically, it is hoped that regional development strategies can be directed more effectively and on target.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the institutional relationship between drivers and the PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk within the framework of contract theory. The main focus is to examine how platform-based partnership contracts shape work dynamics, risk distribution, and potential imbalances between the company and drivers. Using a qualitative case study approach, in-depth interviews with five Gojek drivers selected purposively. Data were analyzed thematically and validated through source triangulation. The findings reveal that the partnership represents an incomplete contract, characterized by information asymmetry, moral hazard, and hold-up issues. While pengemudis enjoy flexible working hours, they bear the entire economic risks without sufficient social protection. The noverlty of this research lies ini applying contract theory to the Indonesian gig economy, highlighting algorithmic transparency and risk distribution dimension rarely explored in previous studies. These insights enrich institutional economics literature wihile offering empirical foundations for goverment regulations that are more equitable in protecting gig economy workers.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of economic growth, education level, unemployment, and poverty on the Human Development Index (HDI) in East Java Province for the period 2013-2022. This study used quantitative methods with secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression with the classical assumption test, F-test, and t-test to determine the simultaneous and partial effects between variables. The results showed that economic growth and the unemployment rate did not significantly influence the HDI. Conversely, education level had a significant positive effect on the HDI, while poverty had a significant negative effect. These findings confirm that improving the quality of education and reducing poverty levels are key factors in improving human development in East Java.

Abstract

Tujuan adanya kegiatan Sosialisasi ini adalah untuk memberi pengetahuan kepada masyarakat bahwa dalam melengkapi administrasi kependudukan saat ini sudah lebih mudah karena bisa dilakukan secara mandiri melalui aplikasi Klampid New Generation. Selain itu, juga untuk memberi pengetahuan kepada masyarakat bahwa tertib administrasi kependudukan sangat diperlukan, karena administrasi kependudukan sebagai dasar yang dipakai dalam keperluan apapun. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode direct (langsung) yaitu melakukan Sosialisasi pentingnya administrasi kependudukan yang lengkap, pelatihan, dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat terkait kemudahan dalam melengkapi administrasi kependudukan yang dapat diajukan melalui aplikasi Klampid New Generation secara mandiri. Dalam hal ini, hasil yang didapat dalam pengoptimalan keasadaran masyarakat untuk melengkapi administrasi kependudukan sudah hampir optimal karena kegiatan ini dapat memberikan wawasan ataupun pengetahuan kepada masyarakat yang sebelumnya tidak mengetahui pentingnya tertib administrasi kependudukan menjadi paham bahwa administrasi kependudukan yang lengkap sangat diperlukan karena pengurusannya sudah lebih mudah, cepat, dan efisien.   Optimization of civil registration services through the KALIMASADA Program   Abstract: The purpose of this Socialization activity is to provide knowledge to the community that completing the population administration is now easier because it can be done independently through the Klampid New Generation application. In addition, it is also to provide knowledge to the community that orderly population administration is very necessary because population administration is the basis used for any purpose. The method used in this service is the direct method, namely socializing the importance of complete population administration, training, and assistance to the community regarding the ease of completing population administration which can be submitted through the Klampid New Generation application independently. In this case, the results obtained in optimizing public awareness to complete population administration are almost optimal because this activity can provide insight or knowledge to people who previously did not know the importance of orderly population administration to understand that complete population administration is needed because the management is easier, faster, and more efficient.

Abstract

Community service through the Bestee program assistance aims to increase the competitiveness of customers who are Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) MMS Rambipuji. Through various forms of structured and sustainable mentoring, this program focuses on providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and human resource training for MSME actors in optimizing and developing their business activities. So that it can improve the standard of living and economy of MSME customers. The method of implementing this service uses socialization of Bestee programs, training, and mentoring. The evaluation instrument of this activity uses a questionnaire and is analyzed descriptively. The results of this service show that the mentoring of this Bestee program has a significant impact on changing the thinking and strategies of MSME actors. This mentoring includes improving marketing strategies, business identity, and good management, including financial management, human resources, and business operations. Focusing on improving understanding of proper management and strategies as well as modern marketing can help MSME actors reach a wider range of consumers and increase sales.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of export duty policies, the amount of cocoa bean production and imports of cocoa beans on the volume of cocoa butter exports in the short and long term. This research uses a descriptive approach with quantitative methods, the focus is testing theories using number-based analysis and statistical analysis. The data used is a time series from 1993 to 2022. In this research, the model used is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The ECM method aims to identify the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable in both the short and long term by focusing on the variables of cocoa butter exports, export duty policies, production quantities and imports of cocoa beans. The analytical tool in this research uses Eviews-12. The conclusion of this research is as follows: Export duty policy (dummy variable) in the long term has a significant positive effect on coca butter exports. The amount of cocoa bean production does not have a significant impact on cocoa butter exports, both in the long and short term. The volume of cocoa bean imports has a significant impact on cocoa butter exports, both in the long and short term.

Abstract

Wakaf merupakan salah satu instrumen dalam ekonomi islam yang bertujuan untuk mencapai tujuan dalam ekonomi islam yaitu mewujudkan kehidupan yang sejahtera. Wakaf masih dipandang sebagai amalan bagi orang-orang kaya, karena pembayaran wakaf identik dengan tanah dan bangunan. Oleh karena itu saat ini di Indonesia muncul alternatif baru mengenai pembayaran wakaf yaitu wakaf tunai dengan munculnya Undang-Undang No. 41 Tahun 2004 tentang pengelolaan wakaf tunai yang produktif .  Namun, implementasi wakaf tunai belum sesuai dengan Undang-Undang No 41 Tahun 2004. Penelitian ini akan mendeskripsikan mengenai implementasi wakaf tunai di Baitul Maal Hidayatullah dan Yayasan Dana Sosial Al-Falah sebagai Lembaga Amil Zakat yang telah menerapkan wakaf tunai. Penelitian ini menggunkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa implementasi wakaf tunai di Baitul Maal Hidayatullah dan Yayasan Dana Sosial Al-Falah belum produktif. Dana wakaf tunai di kedua lembaga tersebut masih dikelola dengan konsumtif, karena dana wakaf tunai langsung dirubah bentuknya menjadi bangunan pondok pesantren dan mushaf Al-Qur’an. Abstract

This comparative study explores the economic crisis in Nigeria, drawing lessons from economic crises in other developing countries. Through a comprehensive literature review, the study examines the root causes, impacts, and recovery strategies associated with economic downturns in regions with similar socioeconomic conditions. Key factors such as political instability, poor governance, and over-reliance on a single economic sector are identified as primary contributors to economic crises. The analysis of case studies from Latin America, Asia, and Africa highlights successful policy interventions and adaptive measures that have facilitated economic recovery in these countries. The findings underscore the importance of economic diversification, robust financial regulations, and proactive government policies in mitigating the effects of economic crises. Recommendations for Nigeria include strengthening governance, reducing corruption, diversifying the economy, enhancing financial regulations, and implementing proactive government policies to enhance economic resilience and stability.
