Abstract

This literature research examines the concept of self-efficacy in technology-integrated mathematics learning and its impact on student achievement. Self-efficacy, a person's confidence in completing a task or achieving a result, is closely related to mathematical achievement, especially with the use of technology as a learning tool. Students with high self-efficacy tend to be more accomplished, motivated, and committed to technology-based learning. Strategies to increase student self-efficacy include constructive feedback via digital platforms, student-focused, technology-based learning approaches, and the application of real-life relevant tasks using simulations and technology applications. This strategy reinforces students' confidence in their math skills, motivating learning in a digital environment. The role of parents is also important, where their support and positive expectations, channelled through technology, increase students' self-efficacy. Parents' perceptions of the integration of technology in schools have a direct impact on students' self-efficacy, affirming the need for cooperation between schools, technology, and parents in mathematics education. Based on the findings, education practitioners are advised to integrate technology, provide supportive feedback, implement technology-based learning strategies, and collaborate schools with parents using digital platforms. In conclusion, a holistic approach involving self-efficacy, multi-stakeholder engagement, and technology integration is necessary for the success of mathematics education.

Abstract

The increasing use of social media platforms among students offers potential for both academic and personal information exchange. However, the factors influencing its adoption for learning by school students remain underexplored. This study aims to identify and rank the key factors that affect the use of social media for learning among primary school students. Utilizing the Delphi method, data were collected in two rounds from 30 expert participants, who were primary school teachers, using purposive sampling. In the first round, thematic analysis identified six key factors influencing social media adoption. In the second round, these factors were ranked in order of importance, with Kendall’s W of 0.364 and a p-value of 0.000 confirming consensus. In addition, an intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) value of 0.923 indicated reliability. The top three factors identified were learning transformation, technology reform, and long-term prospects for students. The findings suggest that schools should prioritize these factors in strategic planning. Future research could expand this study to include private and international educators, and qualitative studies like tracer research could further enrich the understanding of social media’s role in learning.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the challenges of integrating technology into mathematics learning, as well as the lack of teacher competence and student motivation in this regard. The methods used included identifying target schools, developing training materials, conducting interactive GeoGebra training, and evaluation and monitoring. The results showed that GeoGebra AR training effectively improved students' understanding and teachers' competence. Therefore, it can be concluded that this program succeeded in improving the quality of mathematics learning at SMAN 10 Sijunjung. Suggestions for the future are to conduct further research on the effectiveness of the program and expand the reach of training for teachers in other regions.

Abstract

Based on a preliminary study conducted at the Elementary Schools (SD) in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict, Solok Regency, it was found that the independent curriculum is being implemented independently because there is no primary school in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict serving as a leading school. Therefore, the implementation is still not optimal, especially in the development of differentiated teaching modules and differentiated teaching practices. The development of technology-based learning media, which supports the implementation of teaching, has also not been fully utilized, even though we cannot escape from technology in today's world. Hence, there is a need for assistance in the development of differentiated teaching modules, focusing on the subject of mathematics in elementary schools, and the utilization of technology as a learning resource in SD. This community service project will be conducted at SDN 06 Ladang Padi Surian in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict, Solok Regency. The approach used will be mentoring provided to the teachers at SDN 06 Ladang Padi. Through this mentoring, it is expected that teachers will be able to independently develop teaching modules and utilize technology as a learning resource, making the learning process meaningful and aligned with the characteristics of the students. The outcome of this mentoring program will be the creation of differentiated mathematics teaching modules and technology-based learning media, which can serve as guidelines for classroom instruction for teachers.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of cyber counseling currently plays a significant part in the execution of education. This study intends to locate and evaluate cyber counseling publications that have appeared in reputable national and international journals between 2014 and 2023. This study employs a bibliometric methodology with four stages of systematic mapping: 1) finding articles using the Publish or Perish application in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases; 2) classifying articles for bibliometric analysis; 3) ensuring that article metadata is accurate and complete and 4) bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer application. The results of the bibliometric analysis show four main findings, namely: 1) the trend of publications about cyber counseling continues to increase from 2014 to 2023, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic; 2) the ten most cited articles get a high number of citations; 3) the three author keywords most often used in articles about cyber counseling are COVID-19, counseling, cyber counseling service and development; and 4) author collaboration with strong connectedness only occurs between several authors through one document. Overall, the research results show that cyber counseling is a popular model among researchers.

Abstract

The reason is that Japan is one of the developed countries that has the best education system in the world and is a mecca or reference for other countries, including Indonesia. One indicator that can be used to see the quality of a country's education is the results of the assessment (PISA) carried out by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). What is very interesting about Japan's progress, including its educational progress, is that this progress is still framed by the country's noble values. Japanese people are very proud and uphold their traditions and culture. Education is valued and well managed and is based on moral and character development as an integral part of education. The Japanese education system is generally built from a combination of Western ideas and Japanese methods. Even Japan can minimize the unemployment rate, which always increases in every country. The creativity of Japanese education graduates is recognized internationally as an example of success in the automotive sector, namely Honda, and Suzuki, which are always able to innovate their products in a short period. Apart from producing civil servant workers, it is also able to produce experts who can continue to develop the latest research.
