Abstract

Nutrition and health behavior during pregnancy has an impact on fetal health and outcome birth.The aims of this study were to analyze the relationship between nutrition and hydration knowledge on maternal attitudes and behavior during pregnancy.This study was a cross-sectional study, conducted in Kebon Jeruk District Health Center, West Jakarta.The research subjects were pregnant women in the second and third trimesters who examined their pregnancies at the study site, totaling 100 subjects. The data collected were characteristics subjects, anthropometrics, level of knowledges, attitudes, and behaviors. Data was taken through interviews and anthropometric measurements by enumerators and health professional trainee. Pearson's correlation and chi-square tests were used to analyze data.Subjects were on average 29.0 ± 5.7 years, body weight 54.3 ± 8.6 kg, body height 153.7 ± 5.4 cm, body mass index 23.0 ± 3.8 kg/m2, upper arm circumference 26.4 ± 3.3 cm, and hemoglobin level 11.9 ± 0.9 g/dL. There was a positive relationship between nutrition and hydration knowledge on the behavior of pregnant women (p<0.05).The proportion of mothers in the high-level group had a positive attitude about water consumption when nausea and vomiting were more than those with low-level group (p<0.05).Mothers with a high-level group of knowledge have a tendency to have frequent water consumption and vary in diet from the low-level group (p <0.05).Therefore, the health professional needs to give the nutrition education which reliable and accurate to pregnant women in antenatal care.

Abstract

Background: Most women in prison are experiencing inadequate energy and macronutrient intake which may affect their nutritional and health status. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of energy sufficiency and macro nutrient with nutritional status of women. Method : Cross-sectional data were collected from 100 women prisoner aged 19-45 years old from a major prison in Tangerang City of Indonesia. Weight and height were measured with standard weighing scale and microtoise, respectively and body mass index (BMI) was produced. The prisoner’s intakes were measured by three days 24 hour food recalls. Others observed variables were health seeking behaviour (HSB) and infectious disease history (IDH) which assessed by structured interview questionnaire. Spearman's Rank Test was performed to answer the research questions. Result: There was a positive and weak relationship between energy sufficiency level and nutritional status (p = 0,030), protein adequacy level with nutritional status (p = 0,015), fat sufficiency level with nutritional status (p = 0,034) and carbohydrate sufficiency level with nutritional status p = 0.043). Conclusion: Level of energy and macronutrient intake associate with prison women’s nutritional status.  Keywords: energy sufficiency level and macro nutrient, nutritional status, women

Abstract

 AbstrakKonsumsi protein hewani setelah krisis ekonomi, mengalami perubahan baik di pedesaan maupun di perkotaan. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan konsumsi protein hewani pada anak usia 7-12 tahun di daerah pedesaan dan perkotaan, di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Data yang digunakan data sekunder Riskesdas 2010, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel anak sekolah di pedesaan (n=2182) dan anak sekolah di perkotaan (n=2719). Dalam pengujian statistik menggunakan uji t-test independen dan one-way annova. Hasil: Rata-rata konsumsi protein hewani pada laki-laki di perkotaan (25,63±21,30 gr) dan di pedesaan (19,79±17,95 gr). Sementara, rata-rata konsumsi protein hewani pada perempuan di perkotaan (25,46±21,40 gr) dan di pedesaan (18,51±17,93 gr). Rata-rata IMT responden di pedesaan 2,12 kg/m2, sedangkan di perkotaan 2,15 kg/m2. Status ekonomi responden di pedesaan berada pada kuintil 1 (ekonomi sangat rendah), sedangkan di perkotaan pada kuintil 3 (ekonomi menengah). Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna (p<0,05) antara konsumsi protein hewani berdasarkan daerah pemukiman, status gizi dan status ekonomi. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna (p<0,05) antara status gizi berdasarkan jenis kelamin, daerah pemukiman, dan status ekonomi. Tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna(p≥0,05) konsumsi protein hewani berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Kata kunci: Protein, Hewani, Anak-anak

Abstract

Abstract6-24 months is a golden period for children because in this period occurred rapid growth and development and almost 80% of the brain will be formed. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of energy intake, protein intake, and other factors towards nutritional status of children in coastal areas of Tanjung Kait. This study is observational study with cross-sectional design and used T-test to analyze the data. Samples were children aged 6-24 months. The data of protein-energy intake was measured by 24 hour-food recall, others data using questionnaires and observation. The results shows that most of children were 14-22 months (53.3%), female (63.3%), energy intake <80% (80%), protein intake <80% (60%), fathers occupation as fisherman (53.3%), non-working mothers (96.7%), parent’s education was elementary/junior high school (83.3%), income status of poor families (90%), and no history of infectious disease (93.3%). The average energy and protein intake, respectively are (-1.498±1.777) kcal and (-1.757±1.947) g. The average z -score W/A is 2.97 (±0.718). There is a relationship between energy-protein intake and  nutritional status (t = -1.97; t= -2.22; p< 0.05), whereas there is no association between other factors (occupation, mother-father education , income, infectious disease) and nutritional status (t = 0.128 ; t = 0.253 ; t = 1.046 ; t = 0.412 ; t = - .418, p ≥ 0.05). Cadres is needed to be involved in providing information related to Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) of energy and protein to the community.  Keywords: nutritional status, intake, coastal area  AbstrakUsia 6-24 bulan adalah masa emas bagi anak karena cepatnya perkembangan dan pertumbuhan pada masa ini dan hampir 80% otak akan dibentuk pada masa tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ialah untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan energi, asupan protein, dan faktor-faktor lain terhadap status gizi anak-anak di daerah pesisir pantai Tanjung Kait. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional study dan dianalisa T-test. Sampel adalah anak-anak umur 6-24 bulan dari daerah pesisir pantai Tanjung Kait. Data asupan energi-protein diukur dengan food recall sedangkan faktor-faktor lain dengan kuesioner serta observasi. Status gizi dinilai dengan z-score WHO 2005. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan sebagian besar anak-anak berumur 14-22 bulan (53.3%), jenis kelamin perempuan (63.3%), asupan energi < 80% (80%), asupan protein < 80% (60%), pekerjaan bapak sebagai nelayan (53.3%) dan ibu yang tidak bekerja (96.7%), pendidikan orang tua SD/SMP (83.3%), pendapatan status keluarga tidak miskin (90%), dan yang tidak memiliki riwayat penyakit infeksi (93.3%). Rata-rata asupan energi -1,498 (±1,777) kkal dan asupan protein -1,757 (±1,947) gr. Rata-rata z-score BB/U adalah 2.97 (±0.718). Ada hubungan antara asupan energi dan protein berdasarkan status gizi (t=-1.97;t=-2.22; p<0.05) sedangkan tidak ada hubungan antara faktor lain (pekerjaan, pendidikan ibu-bapak, pendapatan, penyakit infeksi) berdasarkan status gizi (t=0,128; t=0,253; t=1,046; t= 0,412; t=- 0,418; p≥0.05). Perlu dilibatkanya para kader untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG) energi dan protein kepada masyarakat. Kata kunci: status gizi, asupan, pesisir pantai.

Abstract

AbstractLow vision differs with blindness. Not like the blind, people with low vision has some useful sight. Low vision caused by several factors such as birth too young (premature), maternal infection when pregnant, refraction abnormalities, inadequate intake, dietary habits and patterns that are wrong as well as vitamin A deficiency. Research aims to determine the relationship of vitamin A , the consumption of fruit and vegetables with incidence of low vision in children aged 7-12 years in the province of Bengkulu.This research using data secondary Riskesdas 2007, with the approach of cross-sectional, with the number of samples a whole (n = 894). Using statistics t-test independent and chi square. The results of statistical tests showed no significant of vitamin A intake , consumption of fruits and vegetables with incidence of low vision ( p ≥ 0.05). Need for attention from parents regarding vitamin A intake , consumption of fruits and vegetables as well as the attention of the parties concerned about the prevalence of low vision and need to improve the health and nutrition education programs. Keywords: vitamin A, consumption of fruits and vegetables, low vision  AbstrakLow vision berbeda dengan kebutaan. Tidak seperti orang yang buta, orang dengan low vision memiliki beberapa pandangan yang berguna. Abstract

Latar belakang: Kecukupan gizi sangat penting untuk kesehatan baduta, kesehatan baduta ini berhubungan erat dengan fase pertumbuhan mereka. Masa baduta disebut sebagai "Periode Emas" dimana pondasi tumbuh kembang, pola berpikir, kemampuan berbicara, perkembangan mental dan intelektual berkembang secara intensif. Pada periode ini, baduta membutuhkan camilan alternatif yang dibuat dari makanan lokal yang bergizi seperti lele dan bayam. Secara umum, pembuatan roti menggunakan tepung gandum yang hanya mengandung nutrisi makro dan beberapa nutrisi lainnya. Melalui penambahan lele dan bayam diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai gizi roti, terutama protein dan zat besi.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh penambahan lele dan bayam dari kue kering ke tingkat protein, zat besi dan penerimaan kue kering.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Ada 4 formula roti kering yang berbeda dengan tambahan lele dan bayam. Analisis yang dilakukan ialah uji daya terima (mutu hedonic dan uji hedonik), analisis proksimat dan analisis kandungan zat besi.Hasil: Uji daya terima panelis dan karakteristik organoleptik yang paling disukai adalah formula F1. Sedangkan kandungan protein dan zat besi F1 ialah 12,78 g dan 12,93 mg. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan lele dan bayam ke dalam adonan roti, menunjukkan kandungan tinggi nilai protein dan zat besi.Kesimpulan : Formula F1 dapat dijadikan kudapan alternatif MP-ASI baduta karena mengandung sumber protein dan zat besi.Kata kunci: Roti Kering, Lele, Bayam, Protein, Zat Besi

Abstract

Background: Nowadays, Mukbang video is very popular on social media, especially Instagram, also known as an eating show which is a host doing a consumes various quantities of food. Teenager has an impressionable characteristic which can affect a person to imitate “negative-eating” behaviour, such as the food-vloggers did on the Mukbang video. In general, it is because the foods on the Mukbang video do not give an attention to the ingredients itself/it tends to be higher on calories, fat, and cholesterol. In case, this “negative-eating” behavior which is eating food with large portion and not balanced diet was imitated by a large part of society, then it can generate many nutrient problems that can affect to the health.Objectives: To know the relation between the behaviour of watching Mukbang, the nutrient knowledge, and the stress level with the changing of eating behaviour of Mukbang enthusiast on social media, Instagram.Methods: This research design was Cross Sectional with 125 respondents. All of the data were taken using Google Form with limited time for 10 minutes. Statistical data analysis used Chi-Square testResults: There is a significant relationship between the behaviour of watching Mukbang with the changing of negative eating behaviour (p-value = 0.003), there is a significant relationship between the nutrient knowledge with the changing of negative eating behaviour (p-value = 0.009), there is a significant relationship between the stress level with the changing of eating behaviour of Mukbang enthusiast on Instagram (p-value = 0.034).Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the behaviour of watching Mukbang, the nutrient knowledge, and the stress level with the changing of eating behaviour of Mukbang enthusiast on Instagram. There needs to be a balance in the behaviour of watching Mukbang, the nutrient knowledge, and the stress level, in order there is no change in “negative-eating” behavior

Abstract

SD N 02 Pondok Pucung yang terletak di kecamatan Pondok Aren, Tangerang Selatan merupakan sekolah yang memiliki tujuan menciptakan siswa unggulan di bidang akademik. Permasalahan yang diangkat di mitra ini adalah SD N 02 Pondok Pucung belum memiliki asesmen khusus untuk menilai fungsi kognitif anak seperti executive faunction, visual memory, dan attention. Bahkan fungsi kognitif tersebut tidak pernah dijadikan indikator keberhasilan pembelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan oleh rendahnya pemahaman mengenai konsep kognitif anak dan faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Kognitif anak ini juga akan erat kaitannya dengan perilaku kesehatan berisiko seperti jajan diet tidak sehat dan rendahnya aktifitas fisik. Berdasarkan pengamatan di sekolah, masih banyak anak SD yang mengonsumsi makanan tidak sehat dari jajanan yang ada di lingkungan sekolah dan rendahnya aktifitas fisik. Berkaitan dengan masalah mitra yang telah disebutkan, program ini mencoba memberikan solusi yang diprediksi dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada. Kegiatan ini diikutkan dengan pemaparan materi dan pelatihan mengenai kognitif, diet sehat makanan bergizi sehingga membantu guru dalam mengupgrade metode pembalajaran untuk optimalisasi fungsi kognitif dan kesehatan anak SD N 02 Pondok Pucung. Hasil dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini didapastkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan guru sebanyak 89% mengenai fungsi kognitif siswa-siswi SD dan hubungan perilaku makanan bergizi dengan kemampuan kognitif siswa-siswi. Diharapkan mitra dapat selalu menilai kognitif dan perilaku anak secara rutin dan melakukan kegiatan rutinKata Kunci: Asesmen kognitif, perilaku kesehatan berisiko, games kognitif

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman tentang bagaimana masalah gizi dan masalah kesehatan terkait gizi (nutrition-related health problem) muncul meningkatkan resiko masyarakat terkena penyakit degeneratif seperti stroke, jantung dan sebagainya. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep gizi seimbang terutama bagi keluarga selama pandemik. Kegiatan dilakukan di bulan September 2020 dan metode yang dilakukan untuk edukasi ialah ceramah yang diikuti dengan pre-post test dan diskusi. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep gizi seimbang tetapi belum lengkap terutama berkaitan pada identifikasi makanan bergizi seimbang dan manfaat gizi seimbang. Mayoritas peserta merasa puas dengan pemberian materi yang disampaikan. Pelatihan intensif melibatkan praktik seperti demo makanan bergizi dapat dilakukan untuk lebih meningkatkan pemahaman gizi seimbang secara lengkap. Kata kunci: gizi seimbang, pandemik, keluarga
