Abstract

This paper examines the implementation of the value of ta'awun (cooperation) in the process of collecting the Qur'anic manuscripts during the time of the companions as an inspiration for the development of an inclusive and equitable sharia economy. The collection of the Qur'anic manuscripts was a collective effort involving the companions, qira'at experts, and writers of revelation to maintain the purity of revelation and prevent division of the Muslim community. The value of cooperation reflected in the process is in line with the basic principles of sharia economics such as distributive justice, empowerment of the community, and inclusiveness. By using the library research method with a descriptive analysis approach, this study found that the application of the value of ta'awun can strengthen sharia economic practices through a fair partnership model and investment oriented towards collective welfare. In addition, this value also encourages the creation of an economic system that is not only based on efficiency, but also on ethics and sustainability. Thus, this study provides a conceptual contribution in linking Islamic traditions with contemporary economic practices, creating a harmonious ecosystem between spiritual values and material goals.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the importance of implementing CRM strategies in the hospitality industry, particularly in facing business competition challenges and meeting the ever-evolving needs and expectations of customers. In the context of sharia tourism, which is beginning to develop in West Sumatra, good service and long-term relationships with guests are significant added values for the sustainability of a hotel. The objective of this study was to determine how the CRM concept is implemented at Hotel Royal Denai Bukittinggi, and to what extent CRM contributes to building customer loyalty. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the Human Resource Development (HRD) department, direct observation of guest service activities, and relevant documentation studies. The research findings indicate that the implementation of CRM at Hotel Royal Denai is still not optimal. The hotel does not yet have an integrated customer data management system, and its communication strategies with guests remain conventional and lack sustainability. Additionally, certain aspects of service, such as the completeness of room facilities, the speed of response to guest complaints, and the friendly attitude of staff, still need improvement. However, the management acknowledges the importance of CRM as a key strategy for enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships with guests.

Abstract

Malaria is a global health problem, particularly in tropical countries like Indonesia. Papua has 374 endemic districts/cities, with the highest number of malaria cases, with 14,586 cases, and Jayapura Regency in 2024 with 50,529 patients and 6,213 relapses. The high number of cases is due to the geographical conditions that favor mosquito breeding and the dormant state in the body. If treatment is not carried out correctly and thoroughly, it can lead to malaria relapse. The purpose of this study was to determine factors associated with relapse in malaria patients in the Harapan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area, Jayapura Regency. This research was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. A total of 88 respondents were recruited using simple accidental sampling. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using chi-square and binary logistic regression. Based on the analysis, it was found that factors that were not related to recurrence in malaria patients in the Harapan Community Health Center, Jayapura Regency were age (p-value 1.000 > α 0.05), gender (p-value 0.855 > α 0.05), and education (p-value 0.124 > α 0.05). Factors related to recurrence in malaria patients in the Harapan Community Health Center, Jayapura Regency were occupation (p-value 0.032 or p < α 0.05), nutritional status (p-value 0.000 < α 0.05), and medication adherence (p-value 0.000 < α 0.05). Medication adherence was the dominant factor in recurrence in malaria patients at the Harapan Community Health Center (p-value 0.000 < 0.05). Malaria patients who do not comply with taking their medication cause the malaria parasite to become dormant in the body which can at any time cause malaria relapses and resistance to malaria drugs.

Abstract

The issue of price determination in the gambier commodity trade has received attention in several previous studies; however, studies that specifically examine the compatibility of price-setting mechanisms with Islamic economic principles at the local level remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the price-setting system in gambier buying and selling from the perspective of Islamic economics in Nagari Muaro Paiti, Kapur IX Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants consisted of key informants and supporting informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that gambier price determination was dominated by middlemen by considering demand, market prices, product quality, and the level of competition, whereas farmers tended to be positioned as price takers. Limited access to information and farmers’ dependence on middlemen caused a consistent price gap between the farm-gate level and the market. These findings contribute to the development of price theory studies in Islamic economics, particularly regarding the principles of justice, transparency, and mutual consent in transactions. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of balancing market power and access to information in creating a fairer gambier trading system. The implications of this study indicate the need to strengthen farmer institutions, improve price transparency, and provide policy support for the plantation sector to strengthen farmers’ bargaining position and open opportunities for further studies on strengthening institution- and technology-based commodity trade.
