Abstract

Kota Semarang merupakan salah satu kota terpadat diIndonesia. Pertambahan jumlah penduduk Kota Semarang menyebabkan adanya lahankonversi yang berdampak pada peningkatan panas yang dapat menyebabkanmasalah lingkungan. Hasil klasifikasi hutan acak untukpenggunaan lahan tahun 2013-2022 didominasi oleh kelas lahan terbangun. Penggunaanlahan terbangun terus meningkat dari tahun 2013-2022 sebesar 8,84% atau 3410 ha.Hal ini menyebabkan berkurangnya ruang terbuka hijau sebesar 7,59% atau 2.928,49 Ha dan sedangmasih mencukupi sebesar 30%. Pada prediksi penggunaan lahan tahun 2032 dominasikelas lahan terbangun sebesar 61% atau 23.575 Ha. Ketersediaan ruang terbuka hijauspace (RTH) di Kota Semarang terus mengalami penurunan dari tahun 2013-2032 sebesar9%. Dimana pada tahun 2032 ketersediaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) sebesar 29,62% ataukurang dari 30%. Hubungan antara ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) dengan tingkatKenyamanan saling mempengaruhi, dimana terjadi penurunan ruang terbuka hijaupeningkatan tingkat ketidaknyamanan, perlu dilakukan arahan untukpengembangan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) yang terdiri dari Kawasan Prioritas a1 yaitu menjaga ruang terbuka hijau (RTH). dan menambah ruang terbuka hijaudengan membuat taman atap dan taman vertikal di setiap rumah untuk menurunkansuhu. Area Prioritas 2 adalah penambahan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) dimasing-masing kabupaten. Area Prioritas 3 adalah mempertahankan ruang terbuka hijau yang ada diberupa hutan kota dan perkebunanLand Use Change, Green Open Space (RTH) and Temperature Humandity Index (THI)

Abstract

One of the agricultural public commodities in Indonesia which still cannot fulfill its domestic consumption needs is soybean. The objectives of the research, which was conducted in Karawang Regency, West Java, Indonesia, were to: (i) identify the suitable area for soybean plantations in paddy fields, (ii)  assess the development of soybeans in land use and socio-economic context, and (iii) plan the spatially soybean plantation. A soil survey and land evaluation for soybean was completed. IKONOS imagery was applied to delineate paddy fields while a dynamic system modelling was developed using Powersim 8.0 software. The results of the research showed that the suitability class for soybean plantation in the paddy fields of Karawang Regency ranges from unsuitable (N) to suitable (S2), with limiting factors being temperature, fertility, nutrients retention, slope, erosion, rooting media and toxicity. Very limited arable land  has been used so far for soybeans plantations due to low economic returns. The model predicts that, should the development of soybean continues in its business as usual path, a deficit of soybean will occur in 2030. The model provides alternative scenarios to reduce the deficit. Prioritization was done spatially using the suitable land gradually, corresponding to the government budget availability.

Abstract

Monitoring rice plant growth is crucial for evaluating rice field management and yield production. RGB images are generated from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with RGB cameras. UAVs produce high spatial and temporal resolution, while RGB cameras are commonly used and cheap. The objectives of this study were to identify the spectral pattern of rice plant growth and to estimate yield production based on the spectral value of RGB images. The spectral pattern and yield estimation were analyzed using confidence interval (CI) and regression, respectively. Results show that spectral pattern during the vegetative until ripening stage forms a concave with minimum value in the generative stage and decreases towards the harvest stage. Based on the CI value, the high interval between upper and lower happened in the vegetative and ripening stages while the low interval happened in the generative stage. The high CI in the vegetative and ripening stages was due to the soil background and complexity of the rice plant canopy, respectively while the low CI in the generative stage was due to the homogeneous response of the leaf canopy. The best rice yield estimation based on the spectral value occurs in the ripening stage with an R2 of 0.84. Keywords: chlorophyll content, confidence interval, drone images, rice plant, regression

Abstract

Mining in Central Bangka Regency has continued to grow since the era of regional autonomy, with the dominance of alluvial tin mining which has a major impact on the environment. The rise of unconventional mining has exacerbated land degradation, increased the area of critical environments, and reduced the quality of ecosystems. This study aims to assess the value of sustainability based on the Mining Area Sustainability Index as a basis for formulating development policies.  The results show that mining activities cause a reduction in forest cover and an increase in the level of environmental criticality, especially due to unconventional mining which is difficult to control. The community has a positive perception of mining activities. The results showed a sustainability score in the less sustainable category (42.55), with the environmental aspect as the lowest aspect. To improve the sustainability score, a moderate policy scenario was chosen as the best strategy, focusing on managing environmental impacts, utilizing ex-mining land, and improving community health and safety. With the right policy approach and synergy between stakeholders, the sustainability of the mining sector in Central Bangka Regency can be achieved.

Abstract

The development of the Telaga City planning area as a new city in the peri-urban area controls urban expansion while promoting equitable development and economic growth. However, high pressure from population growth, economic growth, and the need for developed land in peri-urban areas risks triggering land use incompatibility and a decline in environmental quality. In anticipation of these threats, this study aims to predict changes in land use/land cover (LU/LC) in the Telaga City planning area as a basis for future spatial planning. This research is experimental in nature, testing the influence of regional dynamics on changes in LU/LC. The novelty of this research lies in the use of high-resolution SPOT 6/7 image interpretation LU/LC maps, which enable more detailed and accurate identification of changes in LU/LC. The methods used include (1) Euclidean distance and data normalization to obtain data ready for use in the prediction process; and (2) Pearson correlation, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Cellular Automata (CA), and Kappa Accuracy for the prediction process. The analysis results show that the ANN model is able to capture the nonlinear relationship between driving factors and land transitions well, as indicated by a kappa validation accuracy value of 91.69%. The prediction results for the 2023–2033 period show that the dominance of vegetated areas will continue, but residential/mixed-use land will experience consistent growth, especially in the southern part, indicating strong urban development pressure. Therefore, the results of this study emphasize the need for LU/LC planning and control to minimize land use incompatibility.

Abstract

Pembangunan bandar udara baru dengan konsep aerotropolis di Kulon Progo telah menstimulus pembangunan dan mengubah wajah kawasan dari rural-oriented menjadi urban-oriented. Dampak negatif pertumbuhan yang cepat seperti munculnya fenomena urban sprawl perlu diantisipasi melalui perencanaan tata ruang yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi daya dukung berbasis kemampuan lahan pada penggunaan lahan eksisting dan rencana tata ruang. Metode yang digunakan untuk evaluasi daya dukung adalah matching criteria. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 56,13% wilayah Kulon Progo didominasi oleh kelas kemampuan agak rendah hingga rendah (kelas V-VIII) dengan faktor pembatas utama berupa lereng. Evaluasi keselarasan dengan penutupan/penggunaan lahan 2020 menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penggunaan lahan berada pada status selaras (S) dan selaras bersyarat (SB). Penggunaan lahan yang tidak selaras dengan daya dukungnya seluas 8.286,44 ha yang terdistribusi di bagian selatan. Sementara, evaluasi terhadap rencana tata ruang wilayah (RTRW) Kabupaten Kulon Progo menunjukkan bahwa 57% rencana selaras dengan kemampuan lahan. Namun demikian, daya dukung lahan di Kulon Progo dalam kondisi yang cukup baik. Intervensi perencanaan perlu dilakukan untuk wilayah-wilayah yang memiliki status selaras bersyarat dan tidak selaras.
