Abstract

Abstrak: Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan konsep pecahan pada mahasiswa dengan menganalisa lebih dalam kesalahan yang mahasiswa lakukan saat mengerjakan beberapa soal cerita dalam bentuk pecahan yang diberikan. Penelitian  ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan mengambil subjek penelitian mahasiswa calon guru SD yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah materi matematika lanjut sebanyak 45 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes. Tes yang digunakan merupakan tes uraian pemecahan masalah yang berjumlah lima soal dengan indikator soal yang berbeda-beda. Sedangkan instrumen wawancara digunakan untuk membantu peneliti mengetahui lebih dalam  cara berfikir mahasiswa saat mengerjakan tes. Setelah dilakukan analisa ditemukan bahwa kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bentuk cerita pada pecahan diantaranya: (1) mahasiswa tidak mampu menotasikan bilangan pecahan saat diberikan gambar, (2) tidak mengetahui makna pecahan, (3) tidak bisa menjumlahkan pecahan campuran dengan penyebut berbeda, (4) tidak bisa melakukan operasi pengurangan pecahan campuran, (5) tidak mampu melakukan pembagian bilangan asli dengan pecahan, dan (6) tidak bisa mengubah bentuk pecahan campuran ke pecahan biasa Kata Kunci: Analisis Kesalahan, Pecahan, Mahasiswa Calon Guru SD Abstract: This study discusses the concept of fractions to students through error analysis when working on multiple story problems in the form of fractions. This research is descriptive, by taking the research subject of prospective elementary school teacher students who are taking advanced mathematics courses as many as 45 people. The instruments used were tests. The test used is a problem-solving description test which consists of five questions with different question indicators. While the interview instrument is used to help researchers find out more about the way students think when taking tests. After analyzing it was found that the mistakes made by students in solving questions in the form of stories in fractions of them : (1) students are not able to denote fractions when given a picture, (2) don't know the meaning of fractions, (3) cannot add mixed shards with different denominators, (4) cannot do mixed fraction reduction operations, (5) unable to do the division of natural numbers with fractions, and (6) cannot change the form of mixed fractions to ordinary fractions. Keywords: Error Analysis, Fraction, Students of Prospective Teacher of Elementary

Abstract

This study aims to determine the psychological condition of students in learning mathematics. The psychological condition of students is important to know as a guide in preparing lesson plans. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. This study describes the results of the psychological analysis of SMA Negeri 1 Beber students which include: emotions, self-confidence, interest, and motivation. The subjects of this study were 30 students of Class XII IPS SMA Negeri 1 Beber. Based on the analysis of the results of the psychological questionnaire, it can be concluded that students' readiness in learning mathematics from the psychological aspect reaches 66% or is in the moderate category. The application of group study to the mathematics learning process can be used as an option by the teacher to be able to increase students' interest in learning. Giving project-based assignments can be given to reduce student boredom in working on math problems and to increase student experience in the learning process.

Abstract

The low learning motivation and mathematical problem-solving abilities of vocational high school students, regarding mechanical measuring instruments, such as vernier calipers, present a significant challenge in the learning process. Anteractive simulation-based Virtual Lab is expected to be an innovative solution to address these issues. This study aims to examine the effect of using a Virtual Lab on students' learning motivation and mathematical problem-solving abilities. The method used was quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 42 Mechanical Engineering vocational high school students. Data were collected through observation sheets, a learning motivation questionnaire, and a mathematical problem-solving test. The results showed that students' learning motivation was in the good category based on observation and questionnaire data, which had high validity and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.878). Furthermore, students' mathematical problem-solving abilities increased significantly, with the average score rising from 68.95 in the pretest to 79.74 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test confirmed a significant improvement (p < 0.001). However, the results of this study did not show an effect of motivation on problem-solving ability, because it did not comply with the one-group pretest-posttest design. Thus, it can be concluded that the Virtual Lab is effective in improving learning motivation and mathematical problem-solving skills separately in vocational high school students.

Abstract

This article examines wayang as an Indonesian cultural heritage that brings mythology and epic narratives to life through historical, cultural, and philosophical perspectives, while also exploring young people’s interest in preserving Wayang Banyumas as a distinctive local puppetry tradition. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive–exploratory design. The findings indicate that most respondents possess a basic level of familiarity with Wayang Banyumas, although their direct participation in live performances remains relatively limited. Knowledge of wayang is acquired through various channels, with social environments, educational institutions, and digital media emerging as the dominant agents of cultural transmission, while the influence of the family has gradually declined. In addition, the cultural consumption patterns of younger generations increasingly take place through virtual platforms rather than in situ performances. These findings suggest that interest in Wayang Banyumas among younger generations persists in a latent form and is strongly influenced by the modes and contexts of cultural presentation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ontogenic obstacle siswa pada materi trigonometri  di salah satu SMAN di kota Cirebon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X yang menemui kesulitan dalam belajar matematika pada materi trigonometri. Terdapat tes tertulis mengenai trigonometri yang terdiri dari 5 soal. Data tes dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi jenis kesalahan siswa, sedangkan wawancara digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi yang lebih mendalam mengenai hambatan ontogenik yang dialami siswa. Hasil tes ini menunjukkan bahwa teridentifikasi hambatan ontogenik yang dialami siswa pada topik trigonometri. Hambatan ontogenik yang pertama adalah hambatan ontogenik psikologis yang ditandai dengan rendahnya minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran trigonometri. Hambatan ontogenik yang kedua adalah hambatan ontogenik instrumental yang ditunjukkan oleh kesalahan prosedural berupa penambahan operasi yang tidak sesuai dengan tuntutan soal dan hambatan ontogenik yang terakhir adalah hambatan ontogenik konseptual yang berkaitan dengan keterbatasan pemahaman konsep trigonometri berdasarkan pengalaman belajar sebelumnya pada materi segitiga siku-siku.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities face significant intellectual and adaptive barriers that require intensive support in the learning process to achieve independence. The phenomenon of grandparenting emerges as a crucial support mechanism when parents have limited time, but the dynamics of their involvement in the context of special education are still rarely explored in depth. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the role of grandparents in supporting the learning process of children with intellectual disabilities at the Cendono State Special Needs School in Kudus. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation with three grandparents as the main subjects and teachers as supporting informants. The research findings reveal that grandparents play a strategic role in cognitive, communication, emotional, and academic aspects through unique parenting styles. Effective strategies implemented include intensive repetition of material, the use of concrete visual media, simplification of verbal instructions, and managing children's emotional stability with great patience. Despite facing physical challenges due to age and a limited theoretical understanding of special needs, they are able to establish a consistent and synergistic learning routine with the school program. The main conclusion confirms that grandparenting contributes significantly as a holistic educational support system at home, so that a special empowerment program is needed to optimize their mentoring competencies. ABSTRAKAnak tunagrahita menghadapi hambatan intelektual dan adaptif signifikan yang menuntut pendampingan intensif dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai kemandirian hidup. Fenomena grandparenting muncul sebagai mekanisme pendukung krusial ketika orang tua memiliki keterbatasan waktu, namun dinamika keterlibatan mereka dalam konteks pendidikan luar biasa masih jarang dieksplorasi secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dinamika peran kakek dan nenek dalam mendampingi proses belajar anak tunagrahita di SLB Negeri Cendono Kudus. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap tiga kakek-nenek sebagai subjek utama serta guru sebagai informan pendukung. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kakek dan nenek memiliki peran strategis dalam aspek kognitif, komunikasi, emosional, dan akademik melalui pola asuh yang khas. Strategi efektif yang diterapkan meliputi pengulangan materi secara intensif, pemanfaatan media visual konkret, penyederhanaan instruksi verbal, serta pengelolaan stabilitas emosi anak dengan kesabaran tinggi. Kendati menghadapi tantangan fisik akibat faktor usia dan minimnya pemahaman teoritis mengenai kebutuhan khusus, mereka mampu membangun rutinitas belajar yang konsisten dan sinergis dengan program sekolah. Simpulan utama menegaskan bahwa grandparenting berkontribusi signifikan sebagai sistem pendukung pendidikan holistik di rumah, sehingga diperlukan program pemberdayaan khusus untuk mengoptimalkan kompetensi pendampingan mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of Teacher Professional Education [TPE] students in applying literacy strategies in mathematics learning and evaluate their impact on students' understanding of mathematics concepts and literacy skills. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved TPE students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon in batch 1 of 2023, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews and subsequently analyzed qualitatively, following systematic steps that included thematic mapping, pattern searching, category identification, and meaning interpretation. The findings show that the implementation of literacy strategies, such as visualization, discussion, and reading of mathematical texts, positively impacts students' understanding and engagement in mathematics learning.  Challenges encountered while integrating literacy strategies include time constraints and the selection of relevant materials.   However, a strong desire to learn and a commitment to constant evaluation helped to overcome these obstacles.. To promote future literacy strategies in mathematics education, actions such as teacher training, technology integration, curriculum adjustment, and appropriate reading materials are required.
