Abstract

Kecemasan matematika selalu menjadi topik yang menarik untuk dikaji dan didiskusikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menyelidiki bagaimana tingkatan kecemasan matematis siswa (2) mengeksplorasi bagaimana siswa mengelola kecemasan matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode mix-method embeded. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa Madrasah Aliyah diberikan tes matematika. Adapun yang menjadi responden untuk dianalisis tingkat kecemasannya adalah enam siswa yang yang mewakili setiap kategori kecamasan matematis. Instrumen angket disusun berdasarkan skala Likert dengan 4 pilihan jawaban. Teknik analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap hubungan kecemasan melalui angket dan prestasi matematika melalui hasil tes matematika. Selanjutnya hasil tersebut dianalisis secara kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada siswa yang mengalami tingkat kecemasan berlebih (2) siswa dapat mengelola kecemasan matematika ketika berada dalam kecemasan optimal atau kecemasan positif sehingga dapat mengatasi kecemasan matematika.

Abstract

Prestasi belajar menunjukkan keberhasilan belajar atau kemampuan siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan belajar sesuai dengan bobot yang dicapai. Di sekolah bentuk khusus prestasi belajar adalah nilai yang diberikan kepada siswa pada akhir semester atau masa belajar, yang pencapaiannya dipengaruhi oleh tiga faktor yaitu perhatian orang tua, motivasi belajar dan lingkungan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian expost facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Semuanya muncul dalam bentuk angka dan hasilnya dijelaskan. Kapan pun memungkinkan, tujuan studi lanjutan adalah untuk mengamati faktor mana yang menyebabkan sesuatu. Seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 3 Darma, sebanyak 98 siswa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Jika sampel diambil dari populasi sebanyak 52 siswa. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan angket motivasi belajar, angket pengasuhan orang tua, angket lingkungan sosial dan hasil ulangan matematika semester gasal tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 oleh guru matematika SMP Negeri 3 Darma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perhatian orang tua, motivasi belajar dan lingkungan sosial secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP sebesar 20,6%. Hasil belajar sebagian dipengaruhi oleh perhatian dan belajar orang tua, sedangkan lingkungan sosial tidak mempengaruhi belajar.

Abstract

This research utilized a qualitative approach to providing a descriptive and in-depth exploration of elementary school students' mathematical and conceptual understanding of their learning interests. The study includes 20 participants, selected based on the categories of their learning interests, with three representatives chosen from each category. Participants are also selected based on their age, according to Piaget's theory, and communication abilities. Data collection techniques involve data reduction, data categorization, and data verification. Based on the research findings and discussions, it can be concluded that students with high learning interests demonstrate a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. Similarly, students with moderate learning interest exhibit a commendable grasp of mathematical concepts, while students with low learning interest tend to have lower conceptual understanding. For future research, it is recommended to explore the use of instructional media to assess children's learning interests.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis ditinjau dari self confidence siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek pada kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 3 Losari sebanyak 6 siswa dengan kategori self confidence tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen terdiri atas angket self confidence, tes tertulis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, dan wawancara yang telah diuji terlebih dahulu oleh ahli matematika dan kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan 3 tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori self confidence tinggi mampu memenuhi 4 indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menurut Polya, siswa kategori self confidence sedang hanya mampu memenuhi 2 indikator diantaranya menyusun rencana, dan melihat kembali jawaban keseluruhan. Sedangkan siswa kategori self confidence rendah tidak mampu memenuhi indikator memahami masalah, menyusun rencana, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, maupun melihat kembali jawaban keseluruhan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi self confidence yang dimiliki maka akan lebih mudah dalam menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan matematis, dan sebaliknya jikalau self confidence siswa rendah maka akan lebih sulit juga dalam menyelesaikannya.

Abstract

This study aims to expose the interactions that occur in the process of mathematics learning and describe a method of learning motivation and logical mathematical thinking of students in classes. The method used in this research was a quasi-experimental design group post-test. In its implementation, this study uses a class experiment. Qualitative data are obtained in the form of motivational learning scale, whereas the quantitative data in the form of logical thinking ability score using normalized gain. The results showed the existence of a positive interaction during learning. However, learning motivation of students didn’t show a significant improvement. While the logical thinking ability of students after learning of mathematics using the strategy of SPICES with PBL method is in the category is fair. In its implementation, the strategy of SPICES needed support some teachers from several fields of science.

Abstract

This article contains students' answers to the row and series questions which are then analyzed based on the Watson category. The problem that often arises is a large number of students who still cannot give the right answer to the sequence and sequence problems. Analysis very important to do, especially on the wrong answers so that the teacher knows where the student lies in solving a problem so the teacher can take appropriate corrective action. The Watson category is used to facilitate the tracking of errors that are often made by students. This paper describes the types of errors in solving row and series problems based on the Watson category and describes the percentage of each type of error. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted by giving a test about sequences and series question in the form of a description of four questions. The results showed that there were two categories based on Watson which were dominantly carried out by students, namely 1) incorrect procedures (34.06%) and 2) conclusions were lost (20.33%).

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that has its challenges. This challenge is related to the negative perception of mathematics learning, which is considered complex and saturated. Quizizz is one of the defense media that is considered exciting and fun. This study aims to determine the perception of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students towards mathematics learning using the Quizizz application. The research method used in this study is quantitative descriptive using a questionnaire consisting of 30 statements. The respondents to this study are 30 MA Al Zaytun Indramayu students who have used Quizizz in mathematics learning in the even semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The study results show that the use of Quizizz in mathematics learning, in general, can be positively received by students. Students feel more motivated to learn, engage, and understand the material better when using the Quizizz app. However, there are several challenges, such as difficulties in understanding the material and time pressure in working on problems some students feel. Overall, Quizizz is considered an effective tool for improving students' learning outcomes and interest in math, with the note that its implementation should be tailored to the needs of students.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is not only important in developing cognitive abilities, but affective abilities are also very important. One of these affective abilities is mathematical disposition. Efforts to improve mathematical disposition need to be supported by effective learning models. So the aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the learning model on students' mathematical disposition. By using a literature study research method, namely the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research revealed that in the 2019-2024 period there were 101 relevant research articles related to the effectiveness of learning models on students' mathematical disposition abilities with the most widely used learning model being the learning model. Problem Based Learning (PBL) The most widely used research method is quantitative research methods (quasi-experimental) while the research subjects are mostly aimed at junior high school students.

Abstract

Kanker serviks merupakan salah satu dari kanker yang paling banyak dialami perempuan di Indonesia. Kanker serviks disebabkan oleh infeksi HPV. Infeksi HPV dapat persisten pada beberapa orang yang memiliki faktor risiko seperti usia lanjut, multiparitas, dan tingkat pendidikan rendah. Kanker serviks pada tahap awal terjadi tanpa gejala sehingga sering terdiagnosis pada stadium lanjut. Pengobatan kanker serviks yang direkomendasikan untuk kanker serviks stadium lanjut adalah kemoradiasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran faktor risiko penderita kanker serviks yang menjalani kemoradiasi di RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda periode 2021-2022 berdasarkan usia, paritas, dan tingkat pendidikan. Desain penelitian cross-sectional menggunakan 116 data rekam medis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa <35 tahun (usia risiko rendah) 3,4%, ≥35 tahun (usia risiko tinggi) 96,6%; primipara 37,1%, multiparitas 62,9%; tingkat pendidikan rendah 57,8%, tingkat pendidikan menengah 36,2%, dan tingkat pendidikan tinggi 6%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa gambaran faktor risiko pada penderita kanker serviks yang menjalani kemoradiasi di RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda periode 2021-2022 paling banyak adalah ≥35 tahun, multiparitas, dan tingkat pendidikan rendah.
