Abstract

This study aims to describe how Citizenship Education (PPKn) is implemented to shape the character of second-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sukamanah in Tanggeung, Cianjur. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the research gathered data through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and analysis of documentation related to learning activities. The findings show that PPKn learning delivered through teacher modeling, guided discussions, and consistent habitual practices effectively cultivates key character values, including discipline, honesty, responsibility, and tolerance. The integration of PPKn material with Islamic moral teachings further enhances students’ comprehension of their rights and obligations, while also reinforcing positive behavior in their daily routines. Despite these strengths, the study identifies several challenges, such as the limited availability of learning media and the diverse backgrounds of students, which influence the learning dynamics in the classroom. Overall, the results emphasize that PPKn serves as an essential foundation for character education, and its implementation needs to be continuously strengthened through innovative instructional approaches, supportive school policies, and active collaboration with students’ families to ensure optimal character development.

Abstract

The word iqra' in QS. Al-'Alaq verse 1 is one of the words that is interesting to study. Why the word iqra' became the first revelation revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, who was ummi, and the ambiguity of the object that must be read, raises profound questions about the hidden meaning in that word. This study aims to reveal the deeper meaning of the word iqra' through the kaidah insya' talab amr in the science of ma'ani Al-Qur'an, and its implications in Islamic da'wah methods. This study uses the library research method with an approach based on the science of ma'ani Al-Qur'an. The results of the study show that the rule of insya' talab amr requires the implementation of a task by a higher party to a lower party. The phrase iqra' in the Qur'an is mentioned 16 times in 8 surahs with different derivations, which shows the importance of this command in various contexts. The word iqra' (read) is a form of fiil amr which, in the study of ma'ani science, is included in the insya' talab rule, which demands that something be done. In addition to the literal meaning of "read," the word iqra' has multiple meanings, including commands to study, collect, convey, examine, recite, explore thoroughly, and compile. The results of the study show that the command iqra' not only encouraged the Prophet Muhammad SAW to read in the literal sense, but also to understand, practice, and spread knowledge. This reflects the importance of knowledge, education, and the dissemination of information as fundamental elements in Islamic preaching, which emphasizes that the methods of Islamic preaching must be rooted in education and the comprehensive dissemination of knowledge, in accordance with the command iqra' which became the basis of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's preaching.

Abstract

Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) is a common reproductive disorder among female adolescents that can disrupt daily activities and diminish academic concentration. Management of dysmenorrhea involves both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches, including acupressure therapy at the SP6 (Sanyinjiao) and LI4 (Hegu) points, which are believed to enhance blood circulation and stimulate endorphin production to alleviate pain. This study aimed to determine the effect of acupressure at the SP6 and LI4 points on reducing menstrual pain among female adolescents at Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs) within the Anak Tuha Health Center service area, Central Lampung Regency, in 2025. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was utilized, involving 25 respondents experiencing dysmenorrhea selected through total sampling. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test revealed that the average menstrual pain scale decreased significantly from 4.48 (moderate pain) before the intervention to 1.32 (mild pain) after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.000 ($p < 0.05$). These findings indicate a significant effect of acupressure at the SP6 and LI4 points on reducing menstrual pain intensity. In conclusion, acupressure at the SP6 and LI4 points is effective in decreasing dysmenorrhea in female adolescents; therefore, it is recommended that students practice this technique independently as a non-pharmacological alternative, and that schools and healthcare providers offer education on safe, natural pain management.
