Abstract

This study evaluates the software quality of the UPN Jatim Cashier Application website (simulated URL: repository.upnjatim.ac.id/11689) against the international standard ISO/IEC 29119:2022. The evaluation employed comprehensive Black Box Testing using Selenium IDE for functional verification, and GTMetrix and Google Lighthouse for non-functional and usability analysis. Simulated Testing Data (adopting metrics from comparative study): The functional testing achieved a success rate of $91.4\%$ across 35 test cases, however, a critical security defect was identified in the authentication module (TC-001) where the system failed to deny access with invalid credentials. Non-functional analysis yielded excellent results, with GTMetrix scoring Grade A (Performance $93\%$ and LCP $1.1s$). Google Lighthouse produced a good average usability score of $88.25\%$, though it highlighted a need for improvement in Accessibility ($84.5\%$). The overall software feasibility, calculated using ISO 29119 metrics (Execution, Effectiveness, Pass Rate, and Coverage), reached $90.35\%$. This score deems the system Highly Suitable for Release, yet the severity of the authentication flaw mandates immediate repair before public deployment.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement a Python-based YouTube Downloader Pro application that can be used to effectively download videos from the YouTube platform. This application was developed to help users access video content offline. The research methods include requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing using black-box and white-box methods. The test results indicate that the application runs according to the expected functionality.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology in education encourages the use of web-based literacy systems to support teaching and learning activities. SukaBaca is an online literacy platform that provides class management, reading materials, and quiz features accessed through a class code mechanism. This study aims to evaluate the functional quality of the SukaBaca website using the ISO/IEC 29119 standard through the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) approach. Black-box testing was applied to core features, including user authentication, class and material management, quizzes, and score calculation. The results indicate the presence of several functional bugs that affect user experience, highlighting the need for further system improvements.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology in business encourages the use of web‑based systems to support digital marketing and content management activities. PT Remala Abadi Tbk, as an internet service provider, develops a Manage content system that provides product content request features, global visitor analytics, and real‑time SEO detection to support its marketing and sales teams. This study aims to evaluate the quality of the Manage content website using the ISO/IEC 29119 software testing standard through the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) approach. Functional testing is carried out using black‑box testing on core features such as staff authentication, content management, analytics dashboards, and user log activity, while non‑functional aspects are assessed through performance, usability, SEO, and compatibility testing. The results show that the main functions work as expected, although several minor bugs and performance issues are still found, indicating the need for further improvements to enhance system reliability and user experience.

Abstract

A web-based inventory information system plays an important role in supporting accurate and integrated stock management at Toko Jaya Makmur. This system is used to manage incoming goods, outgoing goods, transaction history, and real-time stock monitoring. To ensure that the system operates in accordance with operational requirements, a structured and well-documented software testing process is required. This study aims to conduct functional testing on the inventory information system website owned by Toko Jaya Makmur using the ISO/IEC 29119 standard as a testing reference. The testing method applied is black box testing, focusing on the dashboard module, incoming goods input, outgoing goods input, transaction history, and stock report features. Test case specifications were developed based on system usage scenarios. The test results indicate that all core system functionalities operate as expected, including data validation, automatic stock updates, and report export features in PDF and Excel formats. Based on the testing results, it can be concluded that the web-based inventory information system owned by Toko Jaya Makmur meets functional requirements and is suitable for supporting effective and efficient inventory management.

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages the use of web-based systems to support business processes, including inventory management in retail stores. An inventory information system plays an important role in helping store owners manage product data, stock levels, and categories efficiently. However, the developed system must be tested to ensure that all functionalities operate according to user requirements. This study aims to conduct functional testing on a web-based inventory information system using the ISO/IEC 29119 standard. The testing method applied is black-box testing by preparing Test Plan, Test Case, and Test Report documents based on the standard. The testing results indicate that most of the system’s main functions operate properly, although several functional defects were identified in certain modules. The implementation of ISO/IEC 29119 provides a structured and well-documented testing process that can be used as a basis for evaluating the quality of the store inventory system.

Abstract

Web-based Point of Sale (POS) systems are widely adopted by small and medium-sized retail businesses, yet insufficient security implementation can expose them to data breaches and financial losses. This study analyzes security vulnerabilities in the Codekop POS v2.0 application using a testing framework based on the ISO/IEC 29119 standard. The testing process follows ISO/IEC 29119-2 with documentation aligned to ISO/IEC 29119-3, applying manual code review techniques to ten core components. The assessment focuses on authentication, session management, injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and directory traversal, referring to the OWASP Top 10 guidelines. The results reveal one critical, four high, five medium vulnerabilities, and four aspects meeting security standards, with an overall compliance rate of 26.7%. This study provides an ISO/IEC 29119-based web application security testing framework and prioritized improvement recommendations to strengthen POS system security.

Abstract

The development of web-based attendance systems requires functional quality assurance to ensure that employee attendance data is recorded accurately and transparently. This study aims to evaluate the quality of the "SIKARYAWAN" attendance system application by referring to the ISO/IEC 29119 international standard through the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) approach. The testing method employed is Black Box Testing to validate core features such as user authentication, attendance recording, leave submission, and data recapitulation. This research refers to 12 related literatures, including the implementation of ISO 29119 in various information systems and efficient functional testing techniques. The results indicate that the SIKARYAWAN application has met the users' functional requirements, although several improvements in input validation are noted to minimize errors. The application of the ISO/IEC 29119 standard in this study successfully provides structured testing documentation and enhances confidence in the quality of the attendance information system.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology encourages companies to implement web-based employee attendance information systems to improve the efficiency of attendance recording and data management. This study aims to evaluate the functionality and reliability of the employee attendance system at PT Wahana Insan Nugraha using Black box Testing based on the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 standard. Testing was conducted on modules including authentication, attendance recording, employee and admin data management, and attendance report presentation. The results indicate that most core functions operate according to specifications; however, bugs were found in the employee data addition feature and sidebar navigation, affecting workflow consistency and user experience. Based on these findings, it is recommended to fix the bugs, conduct further testing, and develop additional features to enhance the system’s stability, reliability, and overall usability.
