Abstract

Stunting is linear growth disturbance caused by the nutrient intake of chronic malnutritionand chronic or recurrent infections showed with height z-score for age (H / A) <-2 SDbased on the standard WHO. Based on the results of Nutritional Status Monitoring inBima, the prevalence of stunting for each year has increased. The prevalence of stuntingin 2011 amounted to 23.61%, in 2012 amounted to 30.3%, and in 2013 amounted to53.2%. Soromandi district is one of the districts with the highest prevalence of stunting inBima. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of the incidence of stunting inchildren under five year in Puskesmas Soromandi Bima district of West Nusa Tenggara.This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. This studyshows that there was no significant relationship between food intake, genetic factors,status BBLR with the incidence of stunting and no significant correlation between geneticfactors with the incidence of stunting. Abstract

Family that is aware of nutrients is family that all members having good nutrition behavior. Pesanggaran was first place in Banyuwangi which has the lowest of implementation nutrition conscious family, it was 43,3%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between roles and functions of cadre, husband social support, and knowledge of family culture with the implementation of nutrition conscious family which was held July-August 2015 and used cross sectional approach. The research sample consists of 80 families. The result showed implementation of nutrition conscious family in region of Pesanggaran Public Health Centre was 35%. Based on bivariate analysis, it was found that roles and functions of cadre in the increasing in maternal health, baby, toddler, and socialization Kadarzi, husband social support (emotional, award, instrumental, infoemative), and knowledge of family culture had a significant relationship with the impleentation of Knutrition conscious family.The role and function of cadre in a socialization Kadarzi was the most dominant factor related to implementation of Knutrition conscious family on the family of toddler. Abstract

In 2013, the prevalence of stunting in rural areas of Jember is 67% and 27,27% for urban areas. Stunting if problem above 20% that is a public health problem. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the genesis of stunting in toddlers between rural and urban areas. This type of this study is an observasional analytic with cross-sectional approached and conducted in Patrang health center and Mangli health center for urban whereas Kalisat health centers for rural with sample fifty respondents each. Analysis of data consisting of chi-square test, mann whitney test and logistic regression with α=0,05. Result of analysis showed that affecting factors of stunting occurrence in toddlers who are in the rural and urban areas were the mother's education, family income, mother's knowledge of nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding age provision, zinc and iron adequacy level, infection disease history and genetic factors. However, another factors such as mother's work, family numbers, immunization status, energy adequacy level and BBLR status didn't affect the occurrence of stunting. Protein and calcium adequacy level in rural areas showed a significant relation while in urban areas showed no relation. The most factor affecting stunting on toddlers in rural and urban areas was zinc adequacy level. Keyword: Stunting, Toddlers, Rural, Urban

Abstract

Child’s nutritional status was influenced by several factors, including the parenting.Based on the results of weighing operations in February 2014, Kemiren village was inthe fourth highest position of ten villages in Glagah Subdistric for thin and verry thinprevalence. Weighing operations on August 2014 showed that Kemiren was in thesecond highest position of ten villages in, which was 2,94%. Based on teh preliminarystudy, according to midwives and community leaders in Kemiren village, toddlers stillobtained improper parenting, that was, giving food other than breast milk before the ageof 6 months and unvaried food. In addition to nutritional problems, the other underlyingthing was the cultural factors in Kemiren village, one of which was the dietaryrestrictions. There was a presumption among parents that infants should not be givenlady finger bananas because they would experience difficulty in speaking. This studyaimed to identify parenting practice and nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-24 monthsin the community of Using ethnic in Kemiren village.This was a descriptive study usingcross sectional approach. The samples were total population in total of 35 toddlers aged6-24 months. The results of this study showed that most of nutritional parenting were inpoor category, health parenting were in good category, and majority of children hadnormal nutritional status.Keywords: Practice of Parenting, nutritional status

Abstract

Malnutrition is one of the nutritional problems caused by many factors. One contributing factor is the availability of food. The solution offered is diversification. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of adding red bean flour to the acceptability, protein content, and dietary fiber on the banana blossoms meatball. This study was a quasi experimental study. The sample was 25 panelist. Data were analyzed by using the power received Friedman test and Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, protein content were tested using One Way ANOVA test, and dietary fiber were tested using the Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney test with a confidence level of 5% (α = 0,05). Based on the results of Friedman test acceptability flavor and color have a p value > α (0,05) so there was no significant difference between the addition of various proportions of red bean flour with the taste and color acceptance in banana blossoms meatballs. Acceptance smell texture has p value < α (0,05) so there was a significant difference between the addition of various proportions of red bean flour with the taste and color acceptance in meatball banana. The result of the protein content and fiber content indicates p value < α (0,05) so there was a significant difference between the addition of various proportions of red bean flour with protein content and fiber content on the banana blossoms meatballs. Abstract

Latar Belakang: Anemia merupakan masalah gizi pada remaja putri yang perlu dicegah dan ditanggulangi karena akan berdampak pada periode 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK). Pemerintah memprioritaskan program suplementasi Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) remaja putri dan Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) untuk menurunkan prevalensi anemia pada kelompok tersebut. Salah satu indicator keberhasilan program tersebut yakni kepatuhan remaja putri dalam mengonsumsi TTD. Perilaku seorang individu dapat diprediksi dari niat individu tersebut yang dirumuskan dalam Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan kontrol perilaku dengan niat patuh dalam mengonsumsi TTD secara teratur. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 328 remaja putri yang diambil dengan metode stratified proporsional random sampling. Variabel penelitian adalah persepsi kontrol perilaku dan niat patuh minum TTD yang dianalisis dengan uji statistik Chi-Square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan 51,2% responden berumur ≤ 13 tahun, 85,7% responden mengalami pubertas yang normal, dan 85,4% responden mengalami gejala anemia yang rendah serta mayoritas 81,4% responden memiliki status gizi normal. Terdapat hubungan antara kontrol perilaku (P Value= 0,000; OR= 3,906; 95 % Cl= 1,906-6,640) dengan niat patuh konsumsi TTD teratur. Kesimpulan: Remaja yang memiliki kontrol perilaku yang kuat akan memiliki niat patuh konsumsi TTD teratur 3,906 kali dibandingkan remaja putri dengan kontrol perilaku lemah terhadap konsumsi TTD.

Abstract

One of the main nutritional problems in Indonesia is Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM). Fish as protein source can be an alternative solution for PEM. Abon made from meat or fish have a high price.In order to make affordable price to the public,it is combined with plant-based ingredients (also known as abon modification). Objective of this research is to gain more understanding the influence of the addition of keluwih (Artocarpus camasi) against physical quality, protein content, and water content of the abon lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus). Research experiment by using a quasi experimental design, there are 4 levels of treatment: P0 (abon lele dumbo without additional keluwih as control group), P1 (abon lele dumbo with additional keluwih 20 %), P2 (abon lele dumbo with additional keluwih 40 %), P3 (abon lele dumbo with additional keluwih 60 %) and 12 units experiment. Analysis of the first modifications done abon test power received (Hedonic Scale Test). Chemical analysis of protein levels with Semi Micro Kjeldahl Test and water content by using the way of heating (cawan method). The results of the analysis using the test results are significant, when Friedman then proceeded to test the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for knowing the difference of 4 degrees of treatment. Keluwih can be used in the manufacture of mixtures of abon lele dumbo (abon modification). There is a trend of decrease in the levels of protein with the increasing proportion of keluwih is added to the abon (ranges from 18.1% to 36.2%). There is a tendency of an increase in water content with the increasing proportion of keluwih is added to the modifications ranged from tivoid languages (6.7% to 12.1%). The right proportion of the addition of keluwih in making abon modifications is P1 (abon lele dumbo with additional keluwih 20 %). Abstract

Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) serves as the main cause of death in the world. The controllable main risk factor in Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is LDL cholesterol content, triglyserida, and HDL cholesterol content in blood. The attempt to control coronary heart disease is by using antioxidant. Antioxidant can obstruct oxidation process and neutralize free radical to prevent various degenerative disease. This study was intended to find out the effect of red fruit oil (Pandanus conoideus oil) toward total cholesterol content of rat (Rattus novergicus strain wistar) with Aterogenic diet. This study was an experimental study. The design applied was complete randomized design with 3 repetitions and 8 treatment levels, namely P0 (diet standard), P1 (Aterogenic diet), P2 (S + MBM 0,12 ml/day), P3 (S + MBM 0,24 ml/day), P4 (S + MBM 0,36 ml/day), P5 (A + MBM 0,12 ml/day), P6 (A + MBM 0,24 ml/day), P7 (A + MBM 0,36 ml/day). The parameter was total cholesterol content. The process and data analysis applied Oneway Anova statistical test and followed with DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The result of Oneway Anova statistical test in confidence level 99% indicated that there was variance of significant total cholesterol content (p=0,000) among every treatment levels. The effect of using red fruit oil (Pandanus conoideus oil) toward total cholesterol content of rat (Rattus novergicus strain wistar) with aterogenic diet effective in 0,12 ml/day. The conclusion inferred from this study indicated that using red fruit oil (Pandanus conoideus oil) has significant effect toward reduction of total cholesterol content of rat (Rattus novergicus strain wistar) with aterogenic diet.   Key Words : Red fruit oil, total cholesterol content, aterogenic diet

Abstract

Demographic changes structure was caused by elderly population increase through decrease number of morbidity and mortality. Indonesia has already turned to a country with aging population since the percentage of elderly population has already reached more than 7%. Specialized of Yogyakarta province with highest percentage of elderly in Indonesia, which was 14.02% in 2009. Choosing of food is a multidimensional behavior, affected by many factors, including psychological measures. Psychological factors such as anxiety, depression, and dementia have significant contributions in determining energy intake. In Indonesia, prevalence of anxiety in elderly was 34.92%. This research was aim to determine determinant factor that influenced anxiety level and energy intake among elderly in Yogyakarta municipality.This research was an analytic observational by using cross sectional study design. Total sample were 214 respondens. Technique of sample using multistage random sampling. Data were analyzed with chi square test and multiple logistic regression. Result showed that most dominant factor that influenced anxiety level was sex. Female elderly had 3.37 times higher risk to experience moderate anxiety level as compare to male elderly. A percentage of 67% female elderly experienced moderate anxiety level consumed fat and oils, and a 83% of them consumed cereals, tubers, and their manufactured products. A percentage of 26.2% subjects had moderate anxiety level. In groups of subjects with moderate anxiety level, intake of energy was mostly excessive.Most dominant factor that influenced anxiety level was sex. In groups of subjects with moderate anxiety level, intake of energy was mostly excessive.

Abstract

Background: Period toddlers are vulnerable malnourished. One of the nutritional problems that are often encountered in toddlers is stunting. Stunting in children under five is an indicator of nutritional status that can give you an idea disruption overall socio-economic situation in the past. Based on the results Riskesdas 2013 the prevalence of stunting in children under five years of 37.2% Indonesia. There are various factors related to the occurrence of stunting. This study aims to know risk factors associated with the incidence of stunting among children aged 6-36 months in the district of Jember. Methods: This research is an observational research with quantitative methods and using cross-sectional design. The research sample was 120 toddlers in Kalisat districts of Jember regency that met the inclusion criteria. The data obtained and in the bivariate analysis using chi-square then continued right with multivariate analysis by using logistic regression. Results: The results showed that stunting children come from families who have parents with lower education and income family, parenting and poor diet, and not given breast milk exclusive, never suffered an infection, have parents were classified as short. Conclusions: The most dominant risk factors on the incidence of stunting that family income and father's height. Keywords: stunting, family income, father's height.
