Abstract

This research aimed to improve the concentration and engagement of fourth-grade students in mathematics learning by utilizing the Wordwall application as an interactive learning medium at SDN 064/VII Sukasari II Sarolangun. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles, from October to December 2024. The results from Cycle 1 showed an increase in student enthusiasm and engagement, but learning mastery did not meet the success criteria. In Cycle 2, after adjustments to teaching strategies, significant improvements were observed. The percentage of students who achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) increased from 78.26% to 86.95%, and 90% of students actively participated in the learning process. The findings suggest that Wordwall effectively enhances student concentration, increases motivation, and creates a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. It is recommended that teachers use Wordwall to improve student focus and engagement, particularly in mathematics education.

Abstract

Our world continues to become increasingly connected. The use of technology has become a must in this modern era to live accordingly. The requirement to use technology also widens the world of teaching, especially in teaching English. Nowadays, all generations of educators, whether young or old generations are expected to utilize technologies in their respective classrooms in an attempt to facilitate students with the newest atmosphere of the teaching and learning process. Speaking of those, chatbots are one of the technologies that can be engaged in English language teaching and learning. Relying on the huge benefit and easiness of implementation, the use of chatbots could be the leading technology for teachers to promote modern language learning. In this literature review-based research paper, the writers would like to encourage the use of chatbots in English language teaching as a medium for teachers to promote modern language learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (science and technology) berjalan seiring dengan peradaban manusia, demikian juga bahaya (hazards) yang ditimbulkan. Industrialisasi, telah memberikan manfaat besar bagi kehidupan manusia, tetapi dengan modus operandi yang begitu kompleks dapat menjadi ancaman penyebab terjadinya bencana (disaster), kecelakaan (accident), dan berbagai penyakit (gemeenschap) akibat kurang/tidak dikelola (manage) dengan baik. Metode penelitian hukum normatif adalah penelitian hukum kepustakaan yang dilakukan dengan cara meneliti bahan-bahan kepustakaan atau data sekunder Penelitian ini dilakukan guna untuk mendapatkan bahan-bahan berupa: teori-teori, konsep-konsep, asas-asas hukum serta peraturan hukum yang berhubungan dengan pokok bahasan. Bersadarkan penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa pengaturan Hukum terhadap kecelakaan kerja Memperhatikan pertimbangan yuridis dan non yuridis yang dimana pertimbangan yuridis tersebut berdasarkan pada surat dakwaan, alat bukti yang sah, dan juga berdasarkan pada keterangan saksi dan keterangan terdakwa yang berdasarkan pada fakta yang terungkap. Pertanggungjawaban hukum pidanaa pimpinan proyek terhadap kecelakan kerja adalah sebagai suatu kewajiban untuk membayar pembalasan yang akan di terima pelaku dari sescorang yang telah dirugikan, menurutnya juga bahwa pertanggungjawaban yang dilakukan tersebut tidak hanya menyangkut masalah hukum semata akan tetapi menyangkut pula masalah nilai- nilai moral ataupun kesusilaan yang ada dalam suatu masyarakat. Hambatan Dalam Penyelesaian Masalah Kecelakaan Kerja, kurang nya komunikasi yang baik antara pimpinan proyek dengan bahawan nya terkait kcelakaan kerja yang terjadi akibat kelalaian (culpa).

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of YouTube animated videos on students’ motivation and vocabulary development in learning English at SDN 26 Palu. In recent years, technology integration in language education has become crucial for enhancing young learners’ engagement and comprehension. However, few studies have examined the specific effects of YouTube animated videos within Indonesian public elementary school contexts. This study employed a mixed-methods design combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. A pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design measured vocabulary improvement, while interviews and classroom observations explored students’ motivation. The participants consisted of 15 sixth-grade students who took part in six meetings over two weeks. The findings revealed that the use of YouTube animated videos significantly enhanced students’ vocabulary mastery and motivation in learning English. Quantitative data showed a mean increase of 10.2 points from pre-test to post-test, while qualitative data indicated that students found the videos engaging and enjoyable. It is concluded that YouTube animated videos are effective and accessible media for improving English vocabulary and sustaining motivation among elementary learners.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to prove whether implementation of Peer Feedback effectively improve students’ writing skill. This study employed a quasi-experimental design. The population involved all eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Bungku Tengah, totaling 277 learners. To determine the Experimental and Control groups, the researcher used cluster random sampling. The researcher used a descriptive text writing test to collect data in terms of pretest and posttest. However, only the experimental class received peer feedback treatment while the control group received other treatments. Organization, Content, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics were the focus of this study. The results demonstrated that once peer feedback was introduced, the experimental group outperformed the control group on the post-test, with a mean score of 76.12 compared to 61.78. Meanwhile, analysis of the pre-test indicated that there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups’ average scores. In addition, the obtained significance value (2-tailed) was 0.001, which is lower than the standard level of 0.05. This suggests that the use of peer feedback has a statistically significant and meaningful effect on improving students’ writing skill. Consequently, peer feedback can be considered an advisable strategy for writing instruction.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi dapat memengaruhi manusia dan dapat dirasakan serta memengaruhi kehidupan seseorang. Dalam pendidikan, teknologi memiliki dampak yang sangat positif pada pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran adalah media yang dibuat oleh guru untuk digunakan dalam terciptanya interaksi yang membantu dalam kegiatan belajar ketika dilaksanakan diluar ruangan ataupun didalam ruangan. Oleh karena itu, dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran menjadi sangat penting. Media quiziz merupakan program permainan quiziz interaktif yang diintegrasikan ke dalam permainan bisa menjadi alat bantu guru dalam pembelajaran. Media quiziz juga berguna sebagai alat bantu dalam pemberian nilai pada saat memberikan nilai terkait pemahaman dari peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran menulis mempunyai tujuan yaitu, diharapkan siswa mampu memberitahukan pendapat, pengetahuan dan pikiran ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Dengan begitu, memudahkan siswa untuk dapat mengembangkan setiap kreativitas yang dimiliki sebagai alat ketika digunakan di berbagai metode dalam pembelajaran. Sehingga keterampilan menulis dapat dihubungkan dengan pengetahuan yang dimiliki setiap siswa dalam mencari sebuah informasi yang baru. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan metode retrospektif. Penelitian kuantitif ini merupakan penelitian yang mengumpulkan data berupa angka yang diolah dan dianalisis dalam mendapatkan sebuah informasi. Sehingga penelitian mengetahui tingkat pemahaman yang dimiliki peserta didik kelas VII Madrasah mardiyah Islamiyah.

Abstract

This research investigates the lived realities of election commissioners operating under persistent institutional constraints during a local electoral process. Contemporary electoral research frequently depicts election administrators merely as procedural agents, providing insufficient insight into their ethical and psychological dimensions. This inquiry seeks to elucidate how election commissioners perceive pressure, moral obligation, professional dedication, and self-identity within the context of their daily responsibilities. Employing an interpretative phenomenological framework, information was gathered from six local election commissioners through solicited written responses via electronic mail, facilitating profound contemplation on their professional encounters. The gathered data underwent analysis through reflective thematic evaluation. The outcomes unveil four interrelated themes: ongoing structural pressures necessitating ethical discretion, moral impetus extending beyond mere procedural adherence, organizational allegiance functioning as a psychological safeguard, and the continual evolution of professional identity through ethical introspection. These results suggest that electoral integrity arises from the dynamic interplay between individual values and institutional expectations rather than solely from formal regulations. The study enhances psychological insights into moral agency within public service and underscores the necessity for institutional backing, ethical resilience training, and psychosocial support for election officials.

Abstract

Purpose – Students' writing and 4C skills (critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity) remain underdeveloped. This is due to the limited use of innovative learning models and formative assessment—an educational process providing feedback during learning—in classrooms. This research examined whether integrating problem-based learning (PBL), an approach using real-world problems, with formative assessment can improve students’ writing. The study also explored how this integration affects their writing and 4C skills.Methodology – The study used a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design. The sample included fourth-semester students from the Writing in Professional Context course, specifically Class B. Researchers collected performance assessments and interviews and analyzed the data using both quantitative and qualitative methods.Findings – Quantitative results showed that integrating PBL and formative assessment significantly improved students’ writing skills. Qualitative results indicated that this integration also improved writing structure, coherence, diction, and argument development. The integration enhanced writing performance and fostered 4C skills (critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity).Contribution – This research advances writing pedagogy and 21st-century skills by guiding educators to adopt innovative, student-centered learning practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi supervisi akademik dan supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan studi kasus. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap kepala sekolah dan pihak terkait supervisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik dilaksanakan secara rutin oleh kepala sekolah melalui observasi langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta dilengkapi dengan tindak lanjut berupa refleksi dan pemberian solusi kepada guru. Sementara itu, supervisi manajerial dilakukan oleh yayasan secara berkala dengan fokus pada aspek keuangan, administrasi, dan tata kelola sekolah. Supervisi ini melibatkan seluruh komponen sekolah dan dilakukan secara sistematis. Kendala yang ditemukan bersifat teknis dan dapat diatasi melalui koordinasi serta persiapan yang matang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi supervisi akademik dan manajerial berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan tata kelola sekolah.
