Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) II and self-efficacy on the interest in becoming a teacher among students of the Office Administration Education Study Program, Stambuk 2021, Faculty of Economics, State University of Medan. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of low interest of education students to become teachers, which is influenced by internal factors such as self-efficacy and external factors such as PLP experience. The research method used is quantitative with data collection through questionnaires to 44 students. The results of the pre-study showed that most students preferred other professions to becoming teachers, and low levels of self-efficacy also influenced this interest. This study is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions in efforts to increase students' interest in pursuing a career as a teacher by strengthening PLP experience and self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall media in the subject of Automation of Public Relations and Protocol Management for grade XI OTKP at SMK Negeri 1 Doloksanggul, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra. The study employed an experimental method involving students from classes XI OTKP 1 and XI OTKP 3 in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 61 participants. Data were collected through observation and tests and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and inferential statistics, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent t-tests at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the experimental class increased from a pretest average score of 47.8 to a posttest average of 88.3, an improvement of 40.5 points or 84.7%. The control class improved from 34.0 to 76.3, a 42.3-point or 124.4% increase. However, the independent t-test showed tcount = 8.084 ttable = 1.671, indicating a significant difference between the two classes. Thus, the application of the TGT model assisted by Wordwall is proven to effectively enhance student learning outcomes.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Wordwall pada mata pelajaran Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Humas dan Keprotokolan kelas XI OTKP di SMK Negeri 1 Doloksanggul, Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan, Sumatera Utara. Abstract

Children's education plays a crucial role in preventing radicalization. By fostering analytical thinking and encouraging an evidence-based approach, education can help children develop the ability to discern and challenge extremist narratives. This study aims to investigate the terrorist offenders’ children's education in Indonesia through qualitative and quantitative research designs. By interviewing terrorist prisoners, holding discussions with former prisoners, and reviewing legal documents of terrorism cases such as profiling and assessment reports, this study tries to identify the regeneration of terrorist networks in Indonesia. The study examines the schools terrorist offenders (as decision makers) select for their children. The findings of this study show that only 18% of prisoners’ children are sent to schools not associated at all with terrorist organizations. In comparison, prisoners hide 29%, 14% are sent to schools less affiliated with terrorist organizations, and 13% are in schools very affiliated with terrorist organizations. This indicates distressing information that the indoctrination of youngsters persists within terrorist networks in Indonesia. Moreover, there are correlations between several independent (e.g., offenders' sentences, risk levels, and affiliations) and dependent variables (e.g., children's trauma, categories of school, orientations, and school networking). The study may help predict the continuation and recurrence of terrorism.

Data collection was carried out through an initial test (pre-test) and a final test (post-test) to measure student learning outcomes. The results showed that the average post-test score of students in the experimental class was 84.70 with a standard deviation of 6.49, while the control class obtained an average of 76.67. Statistical tests using the Independent Sample t-test and the Mann-Whitney U test produced a significant value.

Abstract

There are many processed fish products which are a source of income for MSMEs, especially those living in areas around the river, such as MSMEs spread across OKU Regency, South Sumatra. Processed products such as kemplang crackers, pempek and fish floss are the main products produced by many MSMEs. Fish bones are a product of processed waste that is mostly wasted, even though it still contains a lot of calcium and protein which is not only found in the fish meat, but also in the bones. Utilizing fish bones into foods such as crackers and kemplang can of course increase the income of MSMEs. The remaining fish bones must of course undergo several treatments before being processed. The idea to process fish bones into a new processed food ingredient, namely fish bone crackers, can actually bring benefits and provide added value for fish-based MSMEs. The texture of fish bone crackers remains tasty and crunchy, with almost no difference from the texture of other crackers, in fact many people don't think that the main ingredient in making crackers is processed leftover fish bones. This service activity was carried out at fish-based MSMEs in OKU Regency with the raw material being fish bones left over from processed crackers which were then reused to be processed into fish bone crackers.

Abstract

Ant sugar or ant sugar is another preparation from palm juice or sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr), in crystal form like granulated sugar. The solid form of processed sap water is brown sugar or palm sugar. Ant sugar is rich in nutrition, containing calcium, minerals and vitamins which are very good for health. Its easy and practical form for mixing drinks and cakes makes this sugar much sought after abroad. That is why Indonesia is still an exporting country for ant sugar to this day. Simpang Sender Village is a central area for ant sugar craftsmen in OKUS Regency. During the Covid era, many businesses were affected, resulting in reduced sales turnover, including the ant sugar business. Problems in the form of uncertain production capacity, very traditional packaging and limited marketing have left many ant sugar craftsmen in increasingly worrying conditions. Promotion is still limited by word of mouth, limited product variations and low motivation from craftsmen, making this business increasingly worse even though opportunities for developing this business are still wide open. This business should be able to develop better with assistance and guidance to ant sugar craftsmen. The solution that can be given to ant sugar craftsmen is through assistance in the form of production management training (increasing production capacity and diversifying ant sugar products by modifying spice mixtures such as ginger and lemongrass extracts), business management training, digital-based marketing and improving packaging to attract attention. market. The technology for processing ant sugar with modified ginger and lemongrass will give rise to a new variant of ant sugar which can become a mainstay product typical of Simpang Sender Village, especially South OKU Regency. With taste innovation, attractive packaging and online marketing, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the income of palm sugar craftsmen in South OKU Regency
