Abstract

The income level will influence household spending patterns. In conditions of limited income, low-income or poor households will prioritise allocating their income to buying food. This income will be used to spend on food for survival so it will affect the quantity and quality of household food consumption. Good quality food consumption indicates that nutritional adequacy levels are met. This research analyses the factors influencing household food consumption patterns in East Baturaja District, OKU Regency. This research used a survey method and was carried out in three sub-districts in East Baturaja District, OKU Regency, namely Kemala Raja, Sekar Jaya and Tanjung Baru Villages. The method for determining respondents is random sampling using the Parell et all (1973) formula with the statement if the variance of the total population is unknown, so the best way to determine the sample is to use a percentage of the entire population, namely 2%, 5%, 10%, 20% or 50% of the population. The population is 2126 families, obtained by 2%, namely 42.52 and determined to be 43 families. This research used multiple linear regression models to determine the factors influencing food consumption patterns using multiple linear analyses. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the factors that influence household food consumption patterns in East Baturaja District, OKU Regency, are income (X1), number of family members (X2), age (X3), and education level (X4). The variable that has the most influence on household food consumption patterns in East Baturaja District, OKU Regency, is the income level variable (X1). Simultaneously or together, the income variable (X1), number of family members (X2), age (X3), and education level (X4) has a significant influence. R2 showed this with a value of 97.9%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of community food barns in maintaining food reserve availability in Buay Pemuka Peliung Sub-District, East OKU District, and to identify the factors influencing household food availability among farmers in the same area. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method and utilized multiple regression analysis for data evaluation. The findings indicated that community food barns are crucial in ensuring food security for farmers in Buay Pemuka Peliung Sub-District. Specifically, the food barns serve three main functions: storing food, mitigating food shortages during crop failures or droughts, and increasing group income among farmers. The presence of these food barns has proven to be highly beneficial, providing secure storage for farmers' harvests. Moreover, the study identified several factors influencing household food availability among farmers, including land area (X1), income (X2), paddy prices (X3), number of family members (X4), farmer's age (X5), and education level (X6). Among these, the variable that had the most significant impact on household food availability was the land area, with a partial regression coefficient (beta coefficient) value of 3.099.

Abstract

East OKU Regency, renowned for its vast potential in the primary agricultural and plantation sectors, has witnessed a significant increase in agricultural production. However, many farmers report difficulties in obtaining subsidized fertilizer, which hampers optimal planting processes. This research aims to analyze the factors affecting rice production and the impact of subsidized fertilizer in Madang Suku I District, East OKU Regency. The research employs a survey method and uses simple random sampling for data collection. Multiple regression analysis is utilized to analyze the data. The study examines the impact of subsidized fertilizers, specifically urea fertilizer (X1) and NPK fertilizer (X2), both individually and collectively, on rice production in Madang Suku I District, East OKU Regency. The findings reveal that the subsidized fertilizer policy significantly contributes to increased rice production in the region. Rice production in East OKU has reached 689,678 tons of milled dry grain (GKG) or 811,385 tons of unmilled dry grain (GKP) from a planting area of 108,141 hectares (Ha), marking a 20 percent increase compared to 2021. Consequently, in early 2022, East OKU Regency emerged as one of the top rice-producing districts in South Sumatra province. Several factors influence rice production in Madang Suku I District, including land area, labor, the number of seeds, subsidized fertilizer, and pesticides. The land area has the most significant impact on rice production, with a beta coefficient of 0.567, indicating its substantial influence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the key factors influencing rice farmers' decisions to sell their production in East OKU Regency. Methodology: The research was conducted in three districts—East Buay Madang, Buay Madang, and Madang Suku I—selected purposively based on their large rice production areas. Using a case study approach, data were collected from 118 respondents through multi-stage random sampling. Logit regression analysis was employed to identify the factors affecting farmers' sales decisions. The results indicate that production volume, urgent financial needs, middlemen involvement, and milling costs significantly influence farmers' decisions to sell their rice in the form of grain. Meanwhile, labor availability does not have a significant impact. The findings highlight that most farmers prefer selling unprocessed grain due to immediate financial needs and dependency on middlemen, despite the lower prices compared to selling processed rice.: To enhance farmers' income and economic resilience, it is essential to stabilize grain prices, reduce milling costs, and provide better financial support and market access. Encouraging more farmers to process their grain into rice before selling could lead to greater profitability and reduced reliance on middlemen.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of marketing mix, service quality and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The method used in this study is quantitative analysis method. The sampling method used in the study is non-probability sampling or random chance. This method is a method with sampling that does not provide equal opportunities to members of the population, and its determination is not random. In this study, all consumers who come to the Nissan workshop to service their cars are taken as samples. The number of samples taken for the study was 120 consumers. The data processing method uses multiple regression and multicollinearity test. Multicollinearity testing is used to determine whether or not there is a linear relationship between independent variables in the regression model. The prerequisite that must be met in the regression model is the absence of multicollinearity. Multicollinearity testing is carried out by looking at the value of Tolerance and Variance Inflation Factor (VIF). Data does not experience multicollinearity if the VIF value is below 5. Based on the results of the study, the influence of Marketing Mix, service quality and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty at the Nissan Palembang Workshop and partially has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty at the Nissan Palembang Workshop.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Promotion Mix and lifestyle on purchasing decisions on the Shopee e-commerce platform, focusing on fashion category customers (clothing and shoes) in Baturaja. Promotion Mix, which includes direct selling, advertising, public relations, and sales promotions, is an important element in attracting consumer attention and increasing sales volume. Meanwhile, lifestyle reflects an individual's lifestyle patterns in activities, interests, and opinions, which contribute to purchasing decision making. The research method used is quantitative, with path analysis to measure the direct and indirect effects between the research variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 180 respondents. The results of the analysis show that the Promotion Mix variable has a direct and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while lifestyle functions as an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between Promotion Mix and purchasing decisions. Path analysis also reveals that the combined influence of these two variables contributes significantly to Shopee customers' purchasing decisions. Effective marketing strategies and an understanding of consumer lifestyles greatly influence purchasing decisions. These findings are expected to be a strategic basis for Shopee in designing more effective and innovative promotional campaigns, as well as contributing to digital marketing literature
