Abstract

Phytoplankton is microscopic organisms that has a role primary producer and  bioindicator of a waters. This study aims to analyze the differences in the phytoplankton community in ponds near and far from settlements as well as to find the condition of the waters. Stations by purposive sampling at 2 stations. The research was conducted in February 2021 in Tanggulrejo Village, Manyar District, Gresik Regency. Phytoplankton samples were analyzed using diversity index (H'), uniformity index (E), dominance index (C), and important value index (INP). The water quality parameters measured were temperature, air brightness, TDS, salinity, DO, dissolved CO2, pH, and nitrate. Statistical test analysis is t test and PCA. The results highest phytoplankton community structure in ponds near settlements, namely, Bacillariophyceae and there were 17 genera, while those far from settlements highest was Cyanophyceae and there were 11 genera. The diversity index value (H') of ponds near medium to settlements is 2.48 while ponds far from settlements is 1.8 which describes the category of phytoplankton community. The Uniformity Index (E) value ponds near settlements is 0, 242, while ponds far from settlements is 0,242 which describes the uneven distribution of phytoplankton. The value of the Dominance Index (C) which is close to the settlement is 0.274, while pond far from the settlement is 0.476, which indicates there is no dominance of a particular genus. The results of water quality parameters indicate that the condition of the shrimp pond waters is polluted because it exceeds the SNI threshold for aquaculture.Keywords: Community Structure, Phytoplankton, Shrimp PondABSTRAKFitoplankton merupakan salah satu oragnisme mikroskopis yang mempunyai peran sebagai produsen primer dan dapat dijadikan sebagai bioindikator suatu perairan, salah satunya tambak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan struktur komunitas fitoplankton pada tambak yang dekat dan jauh dengan pemukiman sekaligus mengevaluasi kondisi perairannya. Penentuan stasiun secara purposive sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel secara random di 2 stasiun, masing-masing stasiun tiga titik. Penelitian dilakukan pada Februari 2021 di Desa Tanggulrejo Kecematan Manyar, Kabupaten Gresik. Sampel fitoplankton dianalisis  menggunakan indeks keanekargaman (H’), indeks keseragaman (E), indeks dominasi (C), dan indeks nilai penting (INP). Parameter kualitas air yang diukur yaitu suhu, kecerahan air, TDS, salinitas, DO, CO2 terlarut, pH, dan nitrat. Analisis uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji t dan PCA. Hasil penelitian menujukkan struktur komunitas fitoplankton tertinggi pada tambak yang dekat pemukiman yaitu, Bacillariophyceae dan ada 17 genus, sedangkan yang jauh dari pemukiman yang tertinggi adalah Cyanophyceae dan ada 11 genus. Nilai Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) tambak dekat dengan pemukiman adalah 2,48, sedangkan tambak jauh dari pemukiman adalah 1,8 yang menggambarkan komunitas fitoplankton kategori sedang. Nilai Indeks Keseragaman (E) tambak dekat pemukiman adalah 0, 242, sedangkan tambak jauh dari pemukiman adalah 0,242 yang menggambarkan tidak merata distribusi fitoplankton. Nilai Indeks Dominasi (C) yang dekat dengan pemukiman adalah 0,274, sedangkan tambak jauh dari pemukiman adalah 0,476, yang menggambarkan tidak ada dominasi genus tertentu. Hasil pengukuran parameter kualitas air  menunjukkan kondisi perairan tambak udang yang tercemar karena melebihi ambang batas SNI budidaya.Kata kunci : Struktur Komunitas, Fitoplankton, Tambak Udang

Abstract

AbstractPlankton is an organism that has a very small size or micro-organisms that live floating in the waters. This study aims to compare the abundance, diversity, uniformity, dominance, importance of plankton and water quality in milkfish and shrimp polyculture ponds in the Tebaloan village, Duduksampeyan District, Gresik Regency. This research was conducted in Tebaloan Village, Duduksampean District and sampling was carried out at 08.00-10-00 WIB. The plankton sample method uses purposive sampling. The results showed the diversity of plankton consisting of 20 plankton with 16 phytoplankton and 4 zooplankton. At station I, the most common classes were Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Chlophyceae. Meanwhile, at station II, the classes were mostly Cyanophyceae. In the community structure, the Diversity Index (H') value is 1.21-1.97 which is categorized as medium. The Uniformity Index (E) is 0.13-0.21 which is categorized as low. Meanwhile, the Dominance Index (C) is 0.39-0.52, at station I is categorized as high and at station II categorized as low. Parameters carried out during the study were temperature, water brightness, TDS, salinity, pH, DO, dissolved CO2 and nitrate. The results of water quality measurements in both polyculture ponds were categorized as medium or poor pond waters for cultivating milkfish and vannamei shrimp.Keywords: Plankton, Community Structure, Polyculture PondABSTRAKPlankton merupakan organisme yang memiliki ukuran yang sangat kecil atau bisa juga disebut jasad renik yang hidup melayang di perairan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan kelimpahan, diversitas, keseragaman, dominansi, nilai penting plankton dan kualitas air pada tambak polikultur bandeng dan udang di Desa Tebaloan Kecamatan Duduksampeyan Kabupaten Gresik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Tebaloan Kecamatan Duduksampean dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada pukul 08.00-10-00 WIB. Metode sampel plankton menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keanekaraaman plankton yang terdiri dari 20 plankton dengan 16 fitoplankton dan 4 zooplankton. Pada stasiun I paling banyak ditemukan adalah kelas Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae dan Chlophyceae. Sedangkan pada stasiun II ditemukan paling banyak adalah kelas Cyanophyceae. Pada struktur komunitas nilai Indeks Keanekaragaman (H’) 1.21-1.97 yang dikategorikan sedang. Nilai Indeks Keseragaman (E) 0.13-0.21 yang dikategorikan rendah. Sedangkan nilai Indeks Dominansi (C) 0.39-0.52, pada stasiun I dikategorikan tinggi dan pada stasiun II dikategorikan rendah. Abstract

Global warming that causes climate change is due to increased emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the form of CO2, CH4 and other forms in the atmosphere. The application of the agroforestry system is one of the efforts to overcome the need for agricultural land by maintaining the function of the forest and the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential for carbon stored in Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) stands and to determine abiotic factors in the locations where Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) stands grow in agroforestry areas. This research used descriptive method and coffee stand sampling technique using non-destructive purposive sampling. For each stand sample, 25 trees were taken for each Gayo 1, p88 and Ateng coffee varieties so that the total sample size was 75 trees. Calculation data analysis includes allometric Ketterings dry weight = 0.11 D2.62 (2001) and Arifin allometric formula = 0.281 D2.0635 (2001). Analysis of biomass data carbon = dry weight x 0.47. The results showed that the largest carbon storage was found in the Gayo 1 variety, then the p88 variety and the smallest carbon storage was found in the Ateng variety. Abiotic factors in coffee agroforestry show soil moisture 18.3%, air humidity 60-75%, soil pH 7.5%, soil temperature 21°C, air temperature 21-25°C with an altitude of 900-1100 masl. Abiotic factors affect plant growth, and light intensity also affects plant biomass.Keywords: Agroforestry, Allometrics, Abiotic Factors, Carbon, Coffee VarietiesABSTRAKPemanasan global yang menimbulkan perubahan iklim dikarenakan meningkatnya emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK) dalam bentuk CO2, CH4dan bentuk lainnyadi atmosfer. Penerapan sistem agroforestri merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi kebutuhan lahan pertanian dengan mempertahankan fungsi hutan dan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi karbon tersimpan pada tegakan varietas kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica) dan untuk mengetahui faktor abiotik di lokasi tempat tumbuh tegakan varietas kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica) di lahan agroforestri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan teknik sampling tegakan kopi menggunakan purposive sampling non-destructive. Tiap sampel tegakan diambil 25 pohon pada setiap varietas kopi Gayo 1, p88 dan Ateng sehingga jumlah sampel keseluruhan 75 pohon. Analisa data perhitungan meliputi allometrik Ketterings berat kering = 0,11 ρ D2,62 (2001) dan rumus allometrik Arifin = 0,281 D2,0635 (2001). Analilis data biomasa karbon = berat kering x 0,47. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan simpanan karbon terbesar terdapat pada varietas Gayo 1, kemudian varietas p88 dan simpanan karbon paling kecil terdapat pada varietas Ateng. Faktor abiotik di agroforestri kopi  menunjukkan kelembaban tanah 18,3%, kelembaban udara 60-75%, pH tanah 7,5%, suhu tanah 21°C, Suhu udara 21-25°C dengan ketinggian 900-1100 mdpl. Faktor abiotik berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan tanaman, dan intensitas cahaya juga berpengaruh terhadap biomassa tanaman.Kata kunci : Agroforestri, Allometrik, Faktor Abiotik, Karbon, Varietas Kopi

Abstract

The potential of methane gas in the landfill can be a source of renewable energy to meet the energy needs of the people of Malang City. The potential for methane gas for fuel that has been used is currently around 3% to 5% of the existing potential. Based on information from the Department of Hygiene and Landscaping, Malang City Government has provided gas connection pipes including stoves for free to 59 houses in 2012 and 408 houses in 2013. This study uses tools and materials, namely questionnaires to obtain perception data from the public or respondents, digital cameras for documentation, documents on the use of methane gas at the Talangagung TPA, and stationery. The results of interviews with biogas managers show that the management of organic waste into methane gas is an alternative gas (biogas) used by the community in the TPA (Final Disposal Site) Kepanjen Malang Regency This is applied based on an energy utilization system (energy waste). Based on the results of the Percentage Graph, it states that the percentage of people's perceptions who answered the questionnaire on average showed strong or very high scores, very high and/or very strong scores were almost indicated in all respondents' answers.Keywords: Methane Gas, Perception, Talangagung LandfillABSTRAKPotensi gas metan di TPA dapat menjadi sumber energi terbarukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi penduduk Kota Malang. Potensi gas metan untuk bahan bakar yang sudah dimanfaatkan saat ini sekitar 3% sampai 5% dari potensi yang ada. Berdasarkan keterangan dari Dinas Kebersihan dan Pertamanan Kota Malang, Pemerintah Kota Malang sudah memberikan pipa sambungan gas termasuk kompornya secara gratis kepada 59 rumah pada tahun 2012 dan 408 rumah pada tahun 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat dan bahan yaitu kuesioner untuk mendapatkan data persepsi dari masyarakat atau responden, kamera digital untuk dokumentasi, dokumen pemakaian gas metan di TPA Talangagung dan alat tulis. Hasil wawancara dengan pihak pengelola biogas menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan sampah organik menjadi gas metana sebagai gas alternatif (biogas) yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di TPA (Tempat Pembuangan Akhir) Kepanjen Kabupaten Malang ini di terapkan berdasarkan sistem pemanfaatan energi (waste to energy). Berdasarkan hasil Grafik Presentase menyatakan bahwa presentase persepsi Masyarakat yang menjawab kuesioner secara rata-rata menunjukan nilai kuat atau sangat tinggi, nilai sangat tinggi dan/atau sangat kuat hampir ditunjuk pada semua jawaban responden.Kata kunci : Gas Metan, Persepsi, TPA Talangagung

Abstract

Water is a very important human need and no life can exist without air. Human needs are generally obtained from various sources, both from groundwater, surface water and rainwater. Ubalan is a hamlet located in Ngajum District, Malang Regency. The location is under the foot of Mount Kawi - Malang which has a natural spring and is generally channeled by the surrounding community to fill artificial ponds and also used by the community to meet their daily needs. The use of spring sources is generally very diverse, including for drinking water, fisheries, conservation and as a tourist attraction. Water indicators such as total coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli. Regarding this statement, it is necessary to carry out a microbiological test to test for total coliform and Escherichia coli bacteria at the Ubalan spring, Maguan Village, Ngajum District, Malang Regency, which is a tourist attraction location that is never empty of visitors. The research method used is survey method and descriptive laboratory analysis. To take samples of air sources carried out randomly. The test results for Total Coliform and Escherichia coli bacteria in West Sumatra Mata Air Ubalan, Maguan Village, Ngajum District, Malang Regency, showed that the MPN results index was at station 3 (0.273) station 2 (0.188) and the lowest was at station 1 (0.138). The analysis is related to the level of the presence of total coliform and E. coli bacteria with pollutant source factors that are thought to come from human activities around the source, community behavior and the distance factor between air sources and exhaust locations. Correlation of research results obtained by the presence of total coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli in the air source with the relationship of factors between the supporting bacteria showed (p value = 0.188) which means it did not have a significant effect.

Abstract

Goat dung (Capra aegagrus hircus) and bawean deer dung (Axis kuhlii) are grouped into groups with the same texture. The value of the ratio of C / N goat pukan is generally still above >30 While deer dung has a ratio level of C / N >35. This research took place at Jl Tambak Desa Tambak Keramat Kec.Tambak pulau bawean. The study was conducted from August 2021 to September 2021.The study used a complete randomized design experiment (RAL) using three 10 repetition treatments. The research data is analyzed by using ANOVA. If there is a significant influence, then the analysis continues with the BNT (Real Difference Tere¬cil) test of 5%.The results showed that the treatment that has a high and very good effect on the growth of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa) treatment (P1), while in the treatment (P2) shows unfavorable results for the growth of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa). Penelitian ini bertempat di Jl Tambak Desa Tambak Keramat Kec.Tambak pulau bawean dilakukan dari agustus 2021 sampai dengan bulan september 2021.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap  menggunakan tiga perlakuan 10 pengulangan.Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggu­nakan ANOVA.Apabila terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan, maka analisis  dilanjut­kan dengan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terke­cil) 5%.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan yang berpengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) adalah perlakuan campuran tanah humus dengan kotoran rusa bawean (P1) terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun berat basah dan kering tanaman selada, sedangkan pada perlakuan campuran tanah humus humus dengan kotoran kambing yang masih fresh (P2) menunjukkan  hasil yang tidak signifikan bagi pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa). Abstract

In fish farming, it is necessary to pay attention to the difference in concentration between the environmental media and the concentration of body fluids so that osmoregulation can be maintained. Factors that affect the growth and survival of fish in addition to feed is water quality. Temperature can affect fish activity in growth,  respiration,  and reproduction. The high temperatures can reduce dissolved oxygen and affect the appetite of fish. optimum temperature for fish appetite at 25 C – 35 C. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of different feed frequencies on the growth and survival of carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) at UPT BBI Sukorejo Gondang legi. The research method was direct practice in the field using a RAK, consisting of three treatments, namely: T1 = fed 1 time/day (pk 07.00), T2 = fed 2 times/day (pk 07.00 and pk 17.00) and T3 = fed 3 times/day (07.00 pk, 12.00 pk and 17.00 pk) with six replications. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the frequency of feeding different to the growth rate and survival of carp. The conclusion of this study is that the frequency of feeding different significantly affects the growth and survival of carp where the best survival is the third treatment. Keywords: feed efficiency, growth and survival of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L) ABSTRAK Budidaya ikan memerlukan perbedaan konsentrasi dari konsentrasi cairan tubuh dan media lingkungan hidup agar osmoregulasi bisa pertahankan. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan mas adalah pakan, kualitas air, dan suhu. Suhu berpengaruh pada aktivitas ikan di proses pertumbuhan, pernapasan, serta proses reproduksi. Suhu paling sesuai  untuk makan ikan berkisar 25 ᵒC – 35 ᵒC. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan antara pengaruh pemberian pakan dengan frekuensi  berbeda terhadap kelulushidupan dan pertumbuhan ikan mas yang ada di UPT BBI Sukorejo Gondang legi. Penelitian ini bertempat di BBI Gondang Legi di bulan juni-juli 2021. Penelitian dilaksanakan memakai pratik langsung lapangan memakai RAK dengan  tiga perlakuan berikut : P1 = diberi pakan 1 kali/hari (pk 07.00), P2 = diberi pakan 2 kali/hari (pk 07.00 dan pk 17.00) dan P3 = diberi pakan 3 kali/hari (pk 07.00, pk 12.00  dan pk 17.00) dengan enam kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan angka laju pertumbuhan 95.00 dan kelangsungsan hidup 147.00 bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap frekuensi pemberian pakan yang berbeda terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan laju pertumbuhan ikan mas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan berbeda maka akan  berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelulushidupan serta pertumbuhan  ikan mas. Abstract

Filter mud is one of the dense waste produced by sugar factories. So far, sugar factories dispose the filter mud by directly piling them up in the field without going through any recycle process, causing serious problems for the sugar factory and the surrounding environment. Filter mud has the potential to be made as organic fertilizer. Besides being a adequately complete nutrient source, it can also help fixing the soil physical, chemical and biological properties. Vermicompost is an eco friendly organic fertilizer and has its own advantages compared to other compost which we have known so far. This study aims to determine the macro nutrient elements, namely C-Organic, N-Total and C/N Ratio in sugar filter mud which are composted by the vermicomposting method using earthworm species (Eudrilus eugeniae). The method used is the preservation of worms with bedding and food material from filter mud waste for 28 days, the C-organic test with spectrophotometry and the N-total test using Kjeldahl-Nessier method. The calculation of the C/N ratio is the value comparison of C-organic and N-total. Data analysis is using Anova with the help of Jamovi and also by doing a further test of BNJ 5%. The best results of the study are of C-organic levels obtained on day 14, for N-total during the vermicomposting process, the value of N-total always increases during composting and the best C/N ratio is obtained on the 14th day observations with control treatment M1 (without worms), M1 (25 worms) and M2 (with 50 worms). Anova test and 5% BNJ showed that the results of the observation day variable had a significant effect with the quality of macro elements in vermicompost, while the differences in control treatment had no effect on the quality of micro nutrients.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer fermented by maja fruit and NUPOC on the growth of water spinach plants and to determine the effective concentration affecting the growth of water spinach plants (Ipomoea aquatica). This research was carried out by CV. Javacola which is located on Jalan Joyo Suryo Lowokwaru Malang, during October to December 2021. Using the Experimental Randomized Block Design (RAK) method. In each nutrient, there were 9 treatments and 5 replications, with treatment concentrations of 5 ml/liter, 10 ml/liter, 15 ml/liter and 20 ml/liter. Data analysis used the one-way ANOVA test and if there was a significant difference, it was continued with the 5% BNT test. The results showed that the treatment that had the highest effect on plant height, number of leaves, root length, number of roots, wet weight and dry weight was P1A4 treatment (Maja fruit fermentation 20 ml/liter), while the NUPOC treatment had a high effect on growth, namely in the P2A3 treatment (NUPOC 15ml/liter). Existing limiting factors such as temperature, humidity, light intensity and soil pH are still within the range of water spinach plant growing requirements.

Abstract

The mustard greens green (Brassica juncea L.) is one of the vegetables that has a commercial value and prospects in the community. Bio-slurry or waste of biogas is a product of the biogas processing from a animals dung, human waste and plant by mixing them with water through the process without oxygen (anaerobic) in the room is covered with metanogen bacteria. The research was carried out by the experimental method with block radomized design. Based on the results of research the effect of biogas liquid waste and solid Bio Slurry as organic fertilizer to the plants growth of mustard greens green (Brassica juncea L.). The best dosage in the organic fertilizer provision  of the form of a solid is 450g (P45), while a dosage of the liquid form is 30 ml and they are not different.The key word: organic fertilizer, Bio slurry, mustard greens green.ABSTRAKTanaman sawi hijau (Brassica junceaL.) merupakan salah satu kelompok sayuran yang memiliki nilai komersial dan prospek yang tinggi di kalangan masyarakat. Bio-slurry atau limbah biogas merupakan produk dari hasil pengolahan biogas berbahan campuran kotoran yaitu kotoran manusia, kotoran ternak dan tumbuhan, proses pengelolaannya dengan cara mencampurkan kotoran ternak dengan air melalui proses tanpa oksigen (anaerobik) di dalam ruang tertutup oleh bakteri metanogen. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deksperimen dengan rancangan acak kelompok. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengaruh pemberian limbah biogas cair dan padat (Bio Slurry) sebagai pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.). Dosis yang terbaik dalam pemberian pupuk organik dari limbah biogas (Bio Slurry) bentuk padatan dalah 450g (P45), sedangkan dosis yang terbaik pemberian pupuk organik dari limbah biogas (Bio Slurry) bentuk cair adalah 30 ml dan keduanya tidak berbeda.Kata kunci: pupuk organic, Bio slurry,sawi hijau
