Libraries play a strategic role in improving the quality of education by providing informative and relevant collections. Collection development policies are essential, particularly for academic libraries that support theses and research conducted by the academic community. This study employs a literature review method, referencing various sources such as scientific books, journal articles, research reports, and regulations in both printed and electronic formats. Additionally, the study compares two journal articles discussing collection development policies in academic libraries in Africa, namely the Imo State Academic Library and the Tanzanian Academic Library. The findings indicate that both libraries have implemented collection development policies, including selection, acquisition, user studies, preservation, weeding, evaluation, and collaboration. However, the involvement of users in the selection process of library materials remains limited. Therefore, this study recommends increased user involvement in the selection process, the establishment of a Collection Development Department, periodic weeding, and enhanced collaboration among libraries.

This research aims to evaluate the user interface design of the Al-Bayan Superior Islamic Boarding School (PU) Library website using a heuristic method. This evaluation includes analysis of navigation, visual appearance, accessibility and ease of use. The heuristic method used involves ten design principles proposed by Jacob Nielsen to identify problems in the user interface and provide recommendations for improvement. The research results show that the Al-Bayan library website has several positive aspects such as direct feedback, easy-to-understand language, and an aesthetic minimalist design. Although there are still some things that need improvement such as improving the consistency of visual feedback, form validation to prevent input errors, and improving submenu accessibility. It is hoped that these recommendations will help library managers improve the user experience and better support the student learning process through easier and more efficient access to information. Keyword: heuristic evaluation, user interface design, library website, user experience ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi desain user interface website Perpustakaan SMA Pesantren Unggulan (PU) Al-Bayan menggunakan metode heuristik. Evaluasi ini mencakup analisis terhadap navigasi, tampilan visual, aksesibilitas, serta kemudahan penggunaan. Metode heuristik yang digunakan melibatkan sepuluh prinsip desain yang diusulkan Jacob Nielsen untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dalam user interface dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa website perpustakaan Al-Bayan memiliki beberapa aspek positif seperti umpan balik langsung, bahasa yang mudah dipahami, dan desain minimalis yang estetis. Meskipun masih ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperbaiki seperti meningkatkan konsistensi umpan balik visual, validasi formulir untuk mencegah kesalahan input, dan peningkatan aksesibilitas submenu. Diharapkan rekomendasi ini akan membantu pengelola perpustakaan meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna dan mendukung proses pembelajaran siswa dengan lebih baik melalui akses informasi yang lebih mudah dan efisien.

Pada jaman digital perilaku Phubbing sudah umum terjadi yang berdampak menurunkan sebuah kualitas kemampuan literasi, hal ini merambat pada kualitas seorang pelajar baik akademik maupun non-akademik, jadi penelitian ini penting sebagai solusi meningkatkan literasi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur. Langkah-langkah pengumpulan data yaitu dengan cara mencari dan mengumpulkan karya ilmiah sebanyak 40. Analisis dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian dan verifikasi. Karakteristik perilaku phubbing dapat dilihat dari pengidap nomophobia dan selalu mengabaikan interaksi sosial dengan lebih fokus kepada gadgetnya masing-masing. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku ini antara lain kecanduan smartphone, media sosial, game online , fomo (fear of missing out), isolasi diri dan distorsi waktu, kemudian dari faktor tesebut akan berdampak penurunan skill interaksi sesorang yang merujuk kepada kualitas akademik maupun non-akademik, mengatasi masalah ini dapat dikontrol melalui dengan menerapkan penguatan diri menyadari dampaknya akan membawa efek tidak baik pada pelajar tersebut. selain itu, untuk mencegah phubbing ini dengan cara melakukan program peningkatan literasi informasi meliputi pengenalan sejak usia, edukasi pengunaan media sosial, penerapan permainan tradisional dan pemahaman keagamaan.

This research illustrates the importance of implementing cloud computing in improving the operational efficiency and scalability of digital library information systems. Utilizing library research methods to review related literature, the research findings highlight that cloud computing enables libraries to respond faster to service needs, manage technology resources with flexibility, and improve user satisfaction through easier access and time savings. With a focus on resource management, automation, remote access, cost savings, data security, and analytics, this research shows that cloud computing not only provides an efficient solution, but is also an important strategic step in facing future challenges for digital libraries

This study aims to explore the influence of personal branding on the development of school librarians' professionalism through participation in the Teacher and Education Personnel (GTK) Berprestasi event. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with literature analysis. This study collected data from various sources, including journals, books, and guidelines related to the Teacher and Education Personnel (GTK) Berprestasi event held by the Regional Education Office. Through thematic analysis, this study identified personal branding strategies that librarians can apply to increase their visibility and credibility. The results of the study indicate that the Teacher and Education Personnel (GTK) Berprestasi event serves as an effective platform for librarians to showcase their achievements and innovations. Participation in this event not only increases recognition of librarians' contributions but also expands their professional networks and strengthens their reputation in the community. Thus, this study concludes that effective personal branding development through the Teacher and Education Personnel (GTK) Berprestasi event can encourage increased professionalism and quality of school libraries.

In the current information age, library materials and human life planning are characterized by the cooperation of collection resources, the development and dissemination of information, and the collection and weeding of extremely fast, precise and accurate information. In order to meet the continuous information needs of society and libraries, library managers, like the organization, must perform these stages. The collection in an information institution (library) is very important, and the success of its implementation is quite influenced by it. Conversely, the presence of a library collection is an important component that affects whether the library is well utilized by the users or not. The purpose of this study was to determine the collection development strategy in the library of Madrasah ibtidaiyah Swasta Mathla'ul Anwar. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the Mathla'ul Anwar Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIS) Library has several challenges in managing the collection because there is no written policy that regulates the selection and evaluation process of the collection in a structured manner. Although selection and evaluation activities are still carried out, the uncertainty of procedures and implementation time causes the process to be less effective and inconsistent. The rapid development of information technology has changed the way libraries provide services to users. The globalization of library services requires libraries to adapt to digital technology to increase service efficiency and accessibility. This research method uses literature study. The research results show that the application of digital technology, such as web-based management systems and library applications, increases operational efficiency and makes information access easier for users. However, challenges such as budget limitations, low quality of human resources, and infrastructure problems still hinder the optimization of digital systems. However, opportunities to expand the reach of services and improve service quality are increasingly open with advances in information technology.

This article discusses the implementation of Positive Deviance in the Library Empowerment in the Office of Regional Archives and Library. The purpose of this study is to explain the action carried out by the Regional Library towards the development of its library through the practice of Positive Deviance. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative using data analysis of Miles and Huberman. The research finds that the Office of Regional Library and Archives in Wonosobo developed its library by some innovations in its services. The Regional Library also produces various achievements and innovations as a result of the strategic phases of library development in applying the concept of Positive Deviance. Finally, this study recommends that the implementation of Positive Deviance could also be implemented to the Village Libraries in the Regency of Wonosobo by empowering the advantages of local wisdom in each Village Library

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana kebijakan pengembangan koleksi diterapkan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan tinjauan literatur. Dasar penilaian penelitian ini adalah artikel yang ditampilkan secara keseluruhan yang terkait dengan kebijakan pengembangan koleksi dan jurnal dalam bidang perpustakaan dan kearsipan dari tahun 2020 hingga 2022. Penelusuran dilakukan terhadap database Google Scholar yang diakses dengan alamat web https://scholar.google.com. Menggunakan pencarian lanjutan, kata kunci yang dipilih adalah penelitian kebijakan pengembangan koleksi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dan mulai tanggal/tahun 2020-2022, kemudian hasil penelusuran yang muncul berjumlah 90 artikel. Selanjutnya peneliti melakukan penyaringan untuk menyesuaikan kriteria sehingga dihasilkan 40 artikel, kemudian peneliti mengkaji lebih mendalam (pengkajian kualitas) yang relevan dengan tujuan penelitian dihasilkan 5 artikel. Langkah selanjutnya, artikel tersebut dianalisis dengan pengambilan data berdasarkan data-data penting dalam artikel yaitu nama penulis, tahun terbit, judul, jurnal, tujuan, metode dan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian yang ditunjukkan adalah implementasi pengembangan koleksi mendapatkan kendala, yang sering atau umum terjadi yaitu mengenai masalah anggaran, fasilitas, dan tenaga kerja. Perpustakaan belum memiliki otonomi penuh dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan. Akibatnya, tidak mungkin untuk kontekstualisasi kebijakan pengembangan koleksi. Selain itu, peneliti mendapatkan bahwa partisipasi pemakai dalam kebijakan pengembangan koleksi masih rendah. Namun, guna melengkapi persyaratan data pemakai yang benar, keharusan pustakawan untuk mengetahui apa yang sangat mereka butuhkan.
