Abstract

The profit of shallot farming is not only determined by production but also by the pattern of marketing channels used by farmers. This study aims to determine the marketing function, marketing channels, marketing costs, farmer share, and marketing efficiency level. The research data were obtained by conducting interviews with 20 respondent farmers and 17 traders. The research method used a qualitative descriptive analysis method using predetermined equations. The results showed that there were two shallot marketing channels, namely marketing channel I covering farmers - Kupang City Market retailers - consumers and marketing channel II covering farmers - intermediary traders - Soe retailers - consumers. The total margin on marketing channel I is Rp. 2,000 / kg. farmer share is 2.27%. Marketing channel II total marketing margin of Rp. 6,000/kg, and farmer share of 38.33% The most efficient marketing channel is marketing channel I with an EP value of 12.50%.

Abstract

This study seeks to analyze the price fluctuations of strategic food items, specifically rice and cayenne pepper, in NTT Province, and to examine the correlation between these price changes and the farmer exchange rate in the region. Fluctuations in the prices of food goods in substantial volumes can significantly impact the inflation rate. The study that was conducted made use of secondary data, which was collected from the NTT Provincial Central Statistics Agency. These data were in the form of a time series. The coefficient of variation and multiple linear regression analysis were two of the analytical methodologies that were used. The price of cayenne pepper undergoes substantial fluctuations over time. The price of rice and NTP exhibit a significant positive correlation, indicating that an increase in rice prices is associated with an increase in NTP, consistent with the positive coefficient observed in the regression equation. This research suggests that the government should address fluctuations in rice and cayenne pepper prices by enhancing production and effectively managing supply and demand, thereby improving income and welfare.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) determine the income of brown sugar craftsmen in Tuasene Village, South Mollo District, South Central Timor Regency (2) determine the feasibility of the brown sugar business in Tuasene Village, South Mollo District, South Central Timor Regency. Primary data was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire and secondary data was obtained from the Tuasene Village office. The sample determination method uses a simple random sampling technique. The analytical method used is income analysis, R/C Ratio and Break Event Point (BEP). The results of the research show that: the average cost incurred by craftsmen in 1 month is IDR 924,144 with details of fixed costs of IDR 582,419 and variable costs of IDR 341,725. Revenue obtained is IDR 5,724,000 with an average production amount amounting to 318 Kg with a selling price of IDR 18,000/Kg. The average amount of income earned in 1 month is IDR 4,799,856. The R/C Ratio in the brown sugar business is 6, where the total revenue exceeds the costs incurred, which means that the brown sugar business is worth running. BEP in revenue of Rp. 588,302 in this study has an average income of Rp. 4,799,856, which means it has reached the break-even point in income. BEP in units of 32,360 Kg in this study, craftsmen produced 318 Kg, which means they have reached the break-even point in production.

Abstract

Balanced nutritional intake is an important factor in supporting a person's health. When consuming food, you must pay attention to balanced nutritional intake. Therefore, in living a healthy lifestyle, everyone is encouraged to consume balanced nutritious food. The problem is, that not everyone understands the guidelines for balanced nutrition which must be implemented from the aspect of local food knowledge and processing. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge about the use of local food for implementing balanced food consumption and nutrition. This activity was carried out using counseling and training methods related to aspects of local food processing and education on the implementation of balanced nutrition with posyandu cadres, elderly cadres, and TP PKK women in Oefeto Village, Amabi Oefeto District, Kupang Regency in October 2024. The results obtained from this activity are changes in knowledge, attitudes, and actions in processing local food and implementing a balanced nutritional diet. It is recommended that this outreach activity continue to be encouraged to change community behavior regarding the use of local food to achieve balanced nutritional adequacy by local food.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the level of income and business feasibility of tofu production at the Pink Jaya Home Industry in Oebufu Sub-district, Oebobo District, Kupang City. This research uses a case study method. It was conducted in Oebufu Sub-district, Oebobo District, Kupang City. The sampling method used was the saturated sampling technique. Data analysis methods included income analysis and R/C ratio and B/C ratio analysis. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The income from tofu production at the Pink Jaya Home Industry in Kupang City from January to May 2024 amounted to IDR 185,890,885, with an average monthly income of IDR 37,178,177. (2) The R/C ratio value for the tofu business at the Pink Jaya Home Industry in Kupang City from January to May 2024 was 1.27, indicating that since the R/C ratio is greater than 1, the business is considered feasible and profitable to operate.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of social media in agricultural extension to improve farmers' knowledge of rice cultivation techniques, as well as to identify the obstacles faced. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving 38 farmers selected using purposive sampling. The results show that the most commonly used social media platforms are WhatsApp and Facebook (100%), followed by YouTube (78.9%). WhatsApp is considered the most effective because it supports direct communication between farmers and extension workers. Facebook is used but deemed less practical due to its entertainment-focused content. YouTube is helpful for extension videos but limited by internet data constraints. The main obstacles in using social media are the limited financial ability to purchase internet data and weak internet access in some areas.

Abstract

Stunting di Indonesia merupakan isu kritis yang membutuhkan pendekatan multi-sektoral dan menjadi permasalahan kekurangan gizi utama balita Indonesia saat ini. Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) sebagai penyumbang tertinggi anak stunting di Indonesia. Menurut Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia pada Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) angka stunting Provinsi NTT pada tahun 2023 sebesar 37%. Jumlah Kasus Stunting di Kabupaten Malaka berdasarkan BPS Nusa Tenggara Timur tahun 2024 yakni sebesar 16%. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai sumber gizi yang terdapat pada pangan lokal dan keterampilan untuk melakukan pengolahan lanjutan dengan kombinasi beberapa produk pertanian dan perikanan (singkong, kelor dan ikan) menjadi makanan yang memiliki nilai gizi tinggi bagi Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Suka Maju di Desa Bakiruk Kecamatan Malaka Tengah Kabupaten Malaka. Minimnya pengetahuan sumber gizi yang terkandung dalam komoditi pangan lokal dan ketrampilan kombinasi dalam pengolahan pangan lokal menyebabkan hasil pertanian komoditi lokal di olah secara tradisional dan langsung dikonsumsi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pemahaman yang baik tentang kandungan gizi yang terdapat pada komoditi pangan lokal yang dihasilkan oleh masayarakat dalam hal ini KWT Suka Maju, sehingga dapat melakukan kombinasi dalam pengolahan pangan lokal dan menjadi menjadi makanan dengan sumber gizi tinggi bagi anggota keluarga terutama anak-anak berusia 1-5 tahun, Ibu Hamil, Ibu Menyusui. Dengan demikian akan membantu program pemerintah dalam penurunan angka stunting di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur khususnya Kabupaten Malaka.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of social media marketing on the sales of banana chips produced by the MSME AYOfficial in Kupang Regency, and identifies the most effective platform. Using a quantitative approach with SmartPLS analysis on 100 respondents, the results show that TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp have a significant impact on sales, while Facebook does not have a significant effect. The R-square value of 0.713 indicates that social media can explain 71.3% of the variation in sales. TikTok and WhatsApp are recommended as the primary focus for the MSME's marketing strategy. TikTok Marketing (X1) exerted the most influence with a t-statistic of 2.178, a p-value of 0.029, and a Beta coefficient value (β) of 0.588. WhatsApp Marketing (X3) also had a significant effect with a t-statistic of 2.142, a p-value of 0.032, and a Beta coefficient (β) of 0.572. Instagram Marketing (X2) showed significant but smaller influence, with a t-statistic of 1.998, a p-value of 0.046, and a Beta coefficient (β) of 0.149. In contrast, Facebook Marketing (X4) had no significant effect on sales (t-statistic 1.187; p-value 0.235), (2) Overall, TikTok was the most effective social media in increasing sales, followed by WhatsApp and Instagram. The marketing strategy on TikTok as the main medium is proven to be the most influential on sales, by optimizing creative content, trends, and influencer collaborations. TikTok and WhatsApp are suggested as the main focus of marketing MSME products.

Abstract

Dalam melakukan kegiatan usaha baik perorangan maupun badan usaha sebaiknya membuat pencatatan keuangan. Pencatatan keuangan dapat membantu pelaku usaha untuk bisa membuat laporan keuangan yang akan menjadi bahan informasi bagi pemilik maupun pihak-pihak yang membutuhkannya. Pencatatan keuangan merupakan suatu indikator suksesnya suatu kegiatan usaha yang dilakoninya. Minimnya pengetahuan dalam pencatatan keuangan dan kesadaran akan pentingnya pencatatan keuangan pada masyarakat tani atau kelompok petani sehingga mereka tidak tahu apakah usaha mereka layak atau tidak dikembangkan kedepan. Maka dari itu diperlukan pemahaman yang baik tentang pentingnya pencatatan keuangan untuk meningkatkan hasil usaha yang ditekuninya Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mengenai manajemen keuangan usaha dan mampu membuat pembukuan sendiri dengan baik melalui pencatatan keuangan, sehingga dapat mengukur pengeluaran, pendapatan, aliran kas, biaya dan penentuan harga jual bagi Kelomok Wanita Tani (KWT) Nekmese di Kelurahan Umanen, Kecamatan Atambua Barat, Kabupaten Belu. Hasil dari kegiatan ini kelompok mengetahui manfaat dan pentingnya melakukan pencatatan keuangan dengan baik dan sangat antusias untuk melakukan pencatatan keuangan dalam usaha kelompok maupun usaha individu.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pelatihan perhitungan harga pokok produksi keripik pare sebagai makanan siap saji dari pare (Momordica charantia). Keripik pare merupakan makanan ringan yang mulai banyak diminati karena manfaatnya bagi kesehatan. Dalam rangka memastikan kelayakan usaha, penting untuk mendalami perhitungan harga pokok produksi secar. Pelatihan ini menggunakan pendekatan akuntansi biaya, meliputi biaya bahan baku, biaya tenaga kerja dan biaya overhead. Hasil Pelatihan ini berdampak pada peningkatan pemahaman terkait biaya yang harus ditanggung dalam proses pengolahan hingga produksi keripik pare serta implikasinya terhadap penentuan harga jual.
