Abstract

AbstrakEdukasi Pengenalan Sejarah Lokal Rumah Adat Langgar Tua Karang Bayan dan Pura Lingsar kepada mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah bertujuan  untuk  membantu masyarakat mempromosikan keberadaan peninggalan atau warisan sejarah sejarah lokal dan mengkaji secara mendalam bentuk struktur, fungsi dan makna yang terkandung di dalam nilai-nilai filosofis.  Setiap masyarakat harus memiliki rasa tanggung jawab  terhadap warisan budaya dan sikap peduli untuk melestarikan cakar budaya. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk  meningkatkan  pengetahuan dan wawasan mahasiswa dan masyarakat mengenai pelestarian cakar budaya. Tingkat kependulian dan peran serta masyarakat dalam bidang pelestarian cakar budaya sudah cukup tinggi, tetapi tingkat kependulian  tersebut masih perlu ditingkatkan sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pengetahuan  dan perilaku secara terus menerus serta mendorong aktivitas atau tindakan nayata secara meluas dalam usaha melindungi  cakar budaya. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan dan targetyang telah ditetapkan adalah dengan cara melaksanakan observasi ketempat warisan budaya  budaya  dan mempelajari sejarah dan makna yang terkandung di dalamnya Hasil dari kegiatan edukasi pengenalan tempat sejarah lokal sebagai cakar budaya dapat memberikan wawasan ilmu pengetahuan, memahami sejarah, fungsi dan makna warisan budaya. Masyarakat dan mahasiswa sejarah antusias mengikuti  kegiatan pengenalan sejarah lokal Rumah Adat Langgar tua desa Karang Bayan dan Pura Linsar Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat.  Kata kunci: Pengenalan sejarah lokal; rumah adat langgar tua; pura lingsar.    AbstractLocal History Introduction Education of the Old Langgar Karang Bayan Customary House and Lingsar Temple to history education students aims to help the community promote the existence of local historical heritage or historical heritage and examine in depth the form of structure, function and meaning contained in philosophical values.  Every community must have a sense of responsibility for cultural heritage and a caring attitude to preserve cultural claws. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and understanding of students and the community regarding the preservation of cultural heritage. The level of concern and community participation in the field of cultural claw preservation is quite high, but the level of concern still needs to be increased so that it can influence knowledge and behavior continuously and encourage activities or nayata actions widely in an effort to protect cultural claws. The method used to achieve the goals and objectives that have been set is by conducting observations to the place of cultural heritage and studying the history and meaning contained in it. The results of the educational activities of introducing local historical places as cultural claws can provide insights into science, understanding the history, function and meaning of cultural heritage. The community and history students enthusiastically participated in the introduction of local history of the old Langgar traditional house in Karang Bayan village and Linsar Temple, Lingsar district, West Lombok Regency.  Keywords: introduction to local history; old langgar traditional house; lingsar temple.

Abstract

AbstrakTradisi uang panai dalam budaya Bugis-Makassar merupakan simbol adat yang sarat makna, namun dalam praktiknya seringkali mengandung problematika sosial, ekonomi, dan gender. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada perlunya pembacaan ulang terhadap makna uang panai yang selama ini dianggap sebagai bentuk penghormatan, namun mengandung struktur simbolik yang menormalisasi hubungan kekuasaan patriarkal. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mendekonstruksi makna uang panai melalui pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes guna mengungkap lapisan-lapisan makna denotatif, konotatif, dan mitos budaya yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis media, serta dianalisis secara struktural semiotik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uang panai direpresentasikan sebagai sistem tanda yang memperkuat dominasi maskulin dan objektifikasi perempuan, baik dalam praktik adat maupun media populer. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada pengayaan perspektif kritis dalam kajian budaya lokal dan representasi gender melalui kerangka semiotika. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya reinterpretasi simbol budaya agar tetap relevan dan adil secara sosial. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memperluas konteks wilayah serta mengintegrasikan pendekatan interdisipliner guna memperdalam pemahaman terhadap simbol-simbol budaya serupa.Kata kunci : uang panai, semiotika, budaya Bugis-Makassar, representasi gender, mitos budaya.

Abstract

Keterampilan digital telah menjadi kemestian bagi guru. Pemahaman terhadap perkembangan dan cara kerja teknologi akan mendukung keterampilan guru dalam mengajar. Pemahaman terhadap cara kerja teknologi akan memudahkan guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membuat konten digital yang menarik dan efektif, seperti video pembelajaran, presentasi multimedia, dan infografisBerdasarkan observasi awal yang dilakukan terhadap guru-guru di SMA Negeri 20 Pangkajene dan Kepulauan, ditemukan beberapa kebutuhan guru dalam rangka mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran di kelas. Dari beberapa kebutuhan tersebut, hal yang paling mendesak adalah kebutuhan terhadap media pembelajaran berupa pembuatan video pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi smartphone CapCut. Metode Pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di lingkup SMA Negeri 20 Pangkajene dan Kepulauan dilakukan dengan pendekatan terstruktur dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan guru pada sekolah mitra. Pengabdian yang dikemas dalam bentuk pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi smartphone CapCut. Pendekatan tersebut berupa observasi awal terhadap kebutuhan guru di sekolah mitra sehingga dapat dirumuskan Upaya solutif terhadap kebutuhan tersebut. Oleh karena itu dirumuskan langkah-langkah kegiatan yaitu audiensi; observasi awal; perumusan desain program pelatihan dan pelaksanaan program pelatihan. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan antusiasme dari peserta kegiatan pelatihan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi smartphone CapCut. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada saat kegiatan, peserta menunjukkan keaktifan dalam menggali informasi dan pengetahuan terkait pelatihan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi smartphone CapCut. Hal tersebut menunjukkan keinginan guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan pengembangan diri sebagai tenaga pendidik.

Abstract

The old town of Ampenan is a strategic area. This can be seen from the point of view of socio-cultural interests where this area has become a cultural heritage of Mataram City based on the Building and Environmental Planning (RTBL). And this is in accordance with the Regional Long and Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of Mataram City, namely in 2016-2021 regarding Ampenan Old Town which has historical values, preservation of local customs and culture which is one of the identities of the local community's local wisdom. This research aims to explore the history and social dynamics of the Bugis community who settled in the Old Town of Ampenan Mataram. The approach used in this research is through a socio-historical study approach, meaning that data collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies to produce an in-depth understanding of the adaptation and contribution of the Bugis community to city life. Based on the results of observations and interviews that have been conducted, it can be formulated the problem studied, namely exploring the development of the Bugis community in the context of urban history, social transformation, and interaction with the surrounding community.

Abstract

This ethnographic study delves into the Mbelu’ Pandang tradition, a unique cultural practice held in Labuan Kertasari Village, West Sumbawa, Indonesia. This tradition, which originated from the Selayar tribe, involves intricate rituals such as the rolling of pandan leaves and the slicing of pandanus, performed during the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. The study aimed to explore the historical roots, philosophical meanings, and contemporary significance of the Mbelu’ Pandang tradition, emphasizing its socio-cultural and religious values. Data was collected over three months using participant observation, in-depth interviews with 13 key informants, including village elders, religious, and community leaders, and qualitative content analysis was employed to interpret the findings. Results indicate that the tradition serves multiple functions: fostering community cohesion, acting as a conduit for religious expression, and reinforcing cultural identity among the villagers. It also highlights the efforts to preserve this tradition through local festivals and community-based initiatives, which sustain cultural heritage and promote regional tourism. The study contributes to understanding the dynamics of cultural preservation within minority tribes and offers insights into the complex interplay between tradition, religion, and modernity in rural Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose-This article analyzes the role of Citizenship Education in shaping intelligent, responsible, and nationally committed citizens. It examines how Civics develops civic literacy, strengthens awareness of rights and obligations, and embeds Pancasila values as the moral foundation for constructive participation in society. Research Methodology/Design/Approach- literature review was conducted by examining scholarly articles, books, curriculum documents, and official publications related to Citizenship Education and character development. This approach enabled a focused synthesis of key concepts, learning objectives, and pedagogical challenges within Civics instruction. Findings-The study finds that Citizenship Education significantly contributes to developing civic knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors aligned with democratic and national values. However, its implementation is often limited by insufficient teacher competence, lack of contextual and innovative teaching methods, and weak integration of Pancasila values into classroom practices. Strengthening teacher roles as facilitators and role models is essential to enhance the effectiveness of Civics learning. Originality/Value-This article provides a concise conceptual understanding of how Citizenship Education can be optimized to foster a generation with strong civic responsibility and national identity, offering insights for improving pedagogical practice and curriculum development.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the low reading literacy culture at Madrasah Aliyah NW Suwangi, as evidenced by the lack of reading facilities and the absence of regular reading activities. A literacy corner is considered an effective approach to increase reading interest if implemented in a participatory manner. This activity applies a collaborative-participatory approach based on service learning in the context of Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving PLP2/KKN students as facilitators, teachers as supporters, and students as the main focus. Information was collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The data showed a significant increase in students' reading literacy, as evidenced by increased visits to the literacy corner, reading time, and active participation in literacy discussions. Thus, the literacy corner program in the context of PLP2 integrated with KKN Education has proven successful in improving literacy culture in secondary schools, although the sustainability of the program requires strengthening cooperation between teachers, students, and the school.

Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi dan pemberdayaan ibu-ibu nelayan di Lingkungan Pondok Prasi, Kelurahan Ampenan, Kecamatan Bintaro, Kota Mataram. Metode yang dilakukan yakni pembentukan kelompok, pelatihan dan pendampingan mitra dalam hal produksi, manajemen kelompok dan pemasaran hasil produksi. Hasil menunjukan bahwa mitra pengabdian yang tergabung dalam kelompok Usaha Mandiri Pondok Prasi (PONSI) memiliki produk usaha dengan kualitas yang bagus seperti dendeng lanter dan abon ikan tongkol. Produk ini kemudian dikemas dalam bentuk kemasan layak jual dan dipasarkan ke beberapa mitra yang bekerjasama dengan lembaga Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram. Pengabdian ini merupakan hibah tunggal dari Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia tahun anggaran 2025. Kata kunci:  Peningkatan ekonomi; pemberdayaan masyarakat; ibu-ibu nelayan; Pondok Prasi; Kota Mataram AbstractThis community service program aims to improve the economy and empower fisherwomen in the Pondok Prasi neighborhood, Ampenan Village, Bintaro District, Mataram City. The methods used include forming groups, providing training and assistance to partners in production, group management, and marketing of products. The results show that the community service partners who are members of the Pondok Prasi Independent Business Group (PONSI) have high-quality products such as dendeng lanter and abon ikan tongkol. These products are then packaged in marketable packaging and marketed to several partners who collaborate with the Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. This community service project is a single grant from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2025 fiscal year. Keywords:  economic improvement; community empowerment; fisherwomen; Pondok Prasi; Mataram City
